  1. Over what we have now, yes! If McNeo The One is running the 4-3 line dropping back into pass protection then he gets a pass, because he’s not Rex. No matter how much New England chewed up his vaunted “defensive genius” gimmick card. Could just run a 4-6 and work to contain a running game you knew is coming. That is not McDermott would never leave any variation of the 4-3 or even go 4-4 or even install any form of discipline.
  2. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2018/12/24/18154204/sean-mcdermott-led-buffalo-bills-serious-trouble-scoring-against-new-england-patriots-bill-belichick McDermott is in an interesting position at this point. Hanging onto a Whaley hold over in Zay Jones has not helped anyone. Over paying on Star and Murphy instead of putting it into offensive linemen knowing Richie, Wood, and Glenn were gone. Along with finding a starter in the mixture or reliable tightend puts it offensively in a mess. Allen is not inaccurate and honestly Daboll catches to much flack he’s found weak spots in defenses and Zay is proving why Doug Whaley is a castoff now working for the XFL.
  3. Zay is a Whaley hold over from his last draft class. After year two it’s time to move on from Zay as for Foster give him another year for year two.
  4. I think in all honesty he wants to stay here. Already guilt chemistry with players and if he goes off and makes a team of Arizona or somewhere else fans will be adding Lynn, Harbaugh, and Frazier to the whatif debates.
  5. Foster and Zay play like small receivers with no aggression at all. Clutch catches pass right through their fingers. Where only they can get it can remover the Jets game and commentators were basically saying that’s his level of clutch that he will never be capable of living up too and then replayed his drop against the Panthers last year. Jones doesn’t live up to expectations because he’s never really been anything to expect. As for Foster it’s more of the same and it shows. Allen is surrounded by talentless hacks and Daboll with Castillo have been neglected. So, Daboll calls great plays and find clutch targets and the clutch guys like Zay who have never lived up to draft status (5th or 6th rounder IMHO) have been lazy in improving their game personally.
  6. Four million and eight million which isn’t to bad but it’s the little things which add up.
  7. Signing Star and Murphy to eat up thirty million was a massive mistake now. When like you said we needed offense. Including the offensive line and with Star and Murphy getting pushed into rotational roles and taking up that roster space wow McDermott isn’t exactly looking prized for his assessments and evaluations.
  8. Sad part is, is that Zay was supposed to be that guy. He isn’t in any way, shape, and or form fitting what should be a dominant body size and he isn’t even a clutch receiver. More or less Zay and Foster could be special teamers. Big body size, no hands, and always being given how Josh is “inaccurate” when they are to lazy to elevate their own performances.
  9. Great so Zay and Foster play fast, don’t have hands, and don’t use their body frames to get better separation. Which means that unlike Kelvin Benjamin they won’t eat themselves out of the league they will just be cap eaters and non-factors. Thinking we need an offensive quality assessment Coach to find better ROI for receivers and tight ends.
  10. Josh played good and was he only reason why we were in it. Defensively we stifled their passing game. Trouble is, is that McDermott is pretty much an inferior product as a Coach. When compared to Belicheck, Tomlin, Carrol, Reid, Lynn, and Reich. Harbaugh even showed how it’s done in flipping a teams Quarterback situation. It’s not just woeful ineptitude it’s the fact that he’s lost his fire and his confidence from last year. Process receivers are small and fast but cannot catch. And, McDermott is so completely stubborn as with Peterman that he’ll put and keep these guys out there until he’s out of a job and you cannot blame Josh for McDermott’s wounded pride. Should have not signed Murphy and Star who are prettt much off the depth charts into rotational roles only and saved thirty million into next year or the offensive line. Could have played a 4-6 or 4-4 against the run but McDermott is OCD that it has to be 4-3 or it’s a no go. I have Aspergers with all the ticks I’m starting to wonder if Sean does as well.
  11. This was heart breaking to watch yesterday Croom wasn’t really interested and there was no accountability for his fumble. Just like he players nodded and treated the game as though they were not inspired to do anything. Watching Star and Trent Murphy as their usual rotational fillers was frustrating. It’s evident we cut them or trade them for picks.
  12. Buffalo showed glimpses of what could be next season. Along with what is lacking in several positions with an aging defense. When it comes to heart breaking losses this took the cake along with Scotty Norwide. So many turn overs and so many drops from presumed future guys who at least are good for draft pick trades. Realistically, it wasn’t Edmunds which hurt us through the season, overpaying on Star and Murphy obviously hurt us as they absorbed what little cap room we head and slid down into rotational guys who have allowed big gains to their sides. Trent’s body is breaking down with banned substances and Star is already pretty much in the dog house. If we ship them with cash as we did Dareus would we really miss them for younger draft day prospects?
  13. Star and Trent slid straight down the depth charts into rotational duty. Fair to say that McDermott doesn’t have the greatest assessment for talent. As rotational guys are stepping up in big ways to make plays over them. Star is a ten million dollar hit and Trent Murphy is a twenty million dollar hit whose already had banned substances in his system and is coming off an injury. Had to wager say Trent’s body is breaking down from steroids and Star is just a guy who should be a gap filler but we overpaid. Figure we offload them for picks might absorb that hit anyway but it’s better then what we’ve gotten.
  14. This is what passes for the process that and Trent Murphy getting knocked back too; without the juice you know Trent is just another overhyped steroid baby. Or, it could be McDaniel against a Belicheck and Josh Allen led team. As it is Sean really isn’t that insightful or intelligent when assessing guys like Star or Murphy. And, you’d think running some of Rex’s 4-3 linemen pass protection he might try to mix in a 4-6 to put pressure on shutting down the run. But he Coaches to the level of his intellectualism of respecting footballs and you know checking his tapes or knowing he should have Coached physicality against Reich and the Colts.
  15. Sean is another failed coordinator turned over promoted head coach. Maybe, he can respect his footballs and coach more physicality as a personal trainer going by McClappy.
  16. I expected a lot better and McDermott did not even prep the team. Knowing what was coming he though Star and Trent Murphy the steroid baby we’re going to be amazing. Guy needs to respect his footballs, check his tapes, and Coach more physicality like he acknowledged he should have against the Colts. Oh, wait repeating his mistakes all over again.
  17. If Belicheck saw a use for him he would be there. McDermott was putting to much emphasis and ego on himself wanting Star and Murphy as process guys. Knowing that the offensive line would struggle. At 0-4 against Belicheck there’s no saving his career st this point. Anthony Lynn or Frank Reich would have won with Allen given their understandings on both sides of the ball; poor Sean doesn’t have that intellectualism and grasp for the importance of an offensive line or the offense in general. So, now Star is a dud and the rotational guys are going in for him and Murphy is another cap hit. Even Trent Murphy is terrible; I think Sean is honestly as useless as Dick Jauron. Check the tapes, respecting the football, and knowing he should have Coached physicality against Reich and the Colts but wanted to show players he was their friend. You can take it from his pressers guy is a mess.
  18. I credit McDermott for being smart enough to avoid the ax in Carolina. It’s a pity Kim striped in as our football czar was Tom Coughlin had interviewed for the job. So, we now have an inexperienced meddling owner over engaged into decisions and not wanting to give up control. Mismanaging this team into basically giving away tickets, discounted meal vouchers, hotel room vouchers, and trying to play catch up finically; drastically performing massive layoffs in the PSE shared hospitality industry. Check the PSE Twitter feed and they actually hired an exit sports franchise consultant. You cannot unscrew this up; all you can do is pray I’m wrong.
  19. Now he’s winning, stepping up, and proving himself including two blowout wins over McDermott. Kim cannot assess Coachingnor management as the self-styled czar herself she’s absolutely lost. Would we have been better with Coughlin assuming the role?
  20. Implies we need new ownership that when they say win now; they mean win now.
  21. That takes new ownership that when it says win now mode; it means win now. Until then we are as stuck as Lions fans.
  22. Ownership is dismal, Coaching is abysmal, and fans are trending down on purchases. Any other competitive Coach be it Andy Reid, Anthony Lynn, and or Jon Harbaugh would have won based on the turn overs. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
  23. All the turn overs and no victory when Coaches like Harbaugh and Lynn have found way to make it points. Only reason why Sean is still Coahing is because he’s a generation apart frat brother of Terry.
  24. Anthony Lynn with Josh Allen would have won this games and kept his team competitive. Sean is a terrible intellectually inferior model of coaching and his paradigm model is indefensible.
