  1. Chicago was aided by a vicious cross wind in bitter cold or who knows how many points the Bills would have scored. Cross winds are worse then the down the field winds we usually see at Rich stadium because they're much harder to predict moment to moment. I watched the wind push a ball that was ON THE GROUND 11 yards into the end zone. IMO Allen was arrogant about the wind because he can handle Rich stadiums wind. Early forecasts have it calm, dry and warm down here in Cincinnati next Monday. Great observation and this shows the sneaky way in which the O-lines holding penalties can push Allen into taking more chances then he should. We had 3 O-line holding calls on three different drives. We overcame one to go on and score a TD but the other two led to an INT & punt.
  2. The 2nd pick was caused by the vicious cross wind. Did you watch that wind push a football ON THE GROUND 11 yards into the end zone after the punt? Allen's mistake IMO was being arrogant in the face of that wind. Unlike Rich Stadium where the winds are more consistent and blow up and down the field yesterday you had cross winds which are more problematic to passers. Throw in the bitter cold and you have mediocre passing production. BTW, check out QB performances in the cold/windy games yesterday. A lot of interceptions, low yardage and poor completion percentages.
  3. I'll be damned, Chicago is still there!
  4. If the Jets D played the Bills the same as they're playing the Jags tonight Dorsey and the O would have had 35 points and 400 yards.
  5. The Jets played their Super Bowl at Buffalo a couple of weeks ago and they lost. They poured everything into that game and came up short. The difference in the Jet's emotions between the Bills game and tonight is night & day. The Jets D and O line appears to be going through the motions. It's a bad look for the Jets and why I would fire Salah and go with an offensive guy after this season.
  6. And what the people who say this forget is that the teams we beat, like Miami last night, may have played their best game against us. I'm with you, to say we need to play better or we'll lose to a good team is lazy thinking. It van be said about every team out there. The FACT is that we've played one of if not the hardest schedule in the NFL and are 11 - 3 with the 3 losses coming to 3 winning teams by a combined 8 points.
  7. And the replay showed that before he interfered with McKenzie he held him which the refs ignored. So first down either way.
  8. Two things: injuries reducing the level of play of the offensive unit and more importantly defensive coaches noticing things and adjusting their defensive game plans to take away the easy stuff Allen and the O were getting.
  9. Which means that in deciding what QB would be better for Buffalo the intangibles drive the decision. And IMO Allen has the perfect temperament for Buffalo. I'm not sure that Mahomes does. So I would never trade Allen for Mahomes.
  10. QB's even Mahomes go through rough patches every season. The reasons for Allen's drop in production are those that you outlined: injuries to Allen and other offensive players - but also include a tough schedule & bad weather. And I don't believe Allen is "refusing" to take what defenses are giving him. At least I've yet to see compelling evidence of this. As for Knox, it appears he is desperately needed to shore up pass & run blocking. When you take an honest look at the Bills offense from top to bottom it's been a case of smoke & mirrors where the elite play of Allen & Diggs has masked a great many deficiencies. It's not surprising that defenses have adjusted to what the Bills actually can do and made it harder for them to keep doing it.
  11. To put 40 seconds back on the clock.
  12. These announcers are so dense. The Seattle challenge is more about saving 40 seconds then gaining 6 yards.
  13. Wow. The 49's have dropped at least 2 INT's and now Seattle returns the favor.
  14. I guess only time will tell whether that is really a concern.
  15. To be fair to Dorsey that worked because the 2nd fake was to McCaffrey and he always draws a crowd.
  16. They gave up a 2nd, 3rd & 4th in 2023 and a 5th in 2024. Would have been worth it IMO.
  17. Any people out there that still think McCaffrey wouldn't have been a huge addition to the Bills offense?
  18. Do you know what the NFL wants - a big TV audience for the game Saturday night. IMO a snow storm will only add to the number of eye balls watching the game. This weather forecast propels an already big game into the stratosphere by injecting a uniquely interesting twist. It makes it must see TV for football and sports fans. The NFL loves that.
  19. Sorry but I disagree with your entire premise. Allen is putting up great numbers and his team is winning in spite of having only one elite skills player on the roster. Even more impressively Allen is doing this with at best an average offensive line. There are limitations to what any QB can do, including those you call "a great QB". For the record, Allen is a great QB. Of this I have no doubt, do you? And finally are you really comparing 2022 Allen to 2022 Russel Wilson? I find that this seriously discredits your argument. IMO while the Bills have had some inconsistencies in their offensive performance over the last 6 games the QB play is least responsible.
  20. The last thing Allen needs to do is "get over himself". This guy has repeatedly shouldered the blame for anything that goes wrong on the offense and has never to my knowledge thrown a teammate or coach under the bus. And for the record Allen does a great job looking at the field. Particularly considering that as WideNine points out he is often running for his life to escape initial pressure.
  21. There are always receivers open. A QB can not be expected to always see them. And if a receiver sometimes runs the wrong route or doesn't finish it off correctly or drops the ball a QB may be less likely to look there way to see when they're open.
  22. Correct. Second and 4 beats second & 10 every time.
  23. Especially on 3rd and 5! Remember the throw to Cook against Detroit that almost resulted in Allen's worst interception of the year? I suspect that screw-ups by the receivers in the middle of the field has been occurring more then we realize and is on clear display in the film room.
  24. You heard wrong, it's jet sweeps that Beasley will be running all night.
