  1. Did you see that man against the Chargers? He mauled safeties, defensive ends and corner backs with great BLOCKING! Not holding or brush blocks but tough, solid, smack down blocking. And, he can make catches in tight coverage. Is it that difficult to find a player in the draft who can do the same? Maybe a smaller tackle? Maybe a large Wide Receiver? They have to want to BLOCK and BLOCK more! A pretty-boy TE with great speed is nice but not the real answer for the BILLS!
  2. I agree. There is a huge talent gap between the Bills and even the 2nd tier play-off teams.
  3. Rex is now only 57 years old. His net worth is $20 mil. He still receives $4 mil per year from the Bills. His first head coaching opportunity came with the New York Jets. He led the team for six seasons, compiling a record of 46-50-0 and into two AFC Championship games. He then joined the Buffalo Bills and was HC from 2015 to 2016, leading the team to a 15-17-0 record during his two seasons as head coach. Can he still be a factor in future NFL coaching opportunities??? Was he a one-shot wonder HC ?
  4. Very Good News for the Bills! Now - will McCarthy got to Miami??
  5. New England, playing at home, is a 4.5 point favorite. The Patriots average 27.3 points per game but the Chargers are very close behind at 26.8 ! It should be a great game!
  6. I have to agree. Sam had great instincts for the position and was pretty tough & rough! He could dominate in the front seven!
  7. Both have the speed and quickness. Sam had a little more strength but Edmunds seems to be better in coverage.
  8. CBS will air league matchups beginning with the Feb. 9, 2019, season opener and culminating with the championship game the weekend of April 26-28, with one regular-season game airing each week exclusively on CBS SportsNetwork. AND - -the different Rules from the NFL are: "we’re getting rid of the kickoff, we’re going to start with the ball on the 25. Obviously, if you get rid of the kickoff, you have to get rid of the onside kick. So what we’re doing… if you want to go for the equivalent of the onside kick, we will give you your ball on your own 35 and you’ll be facing 4th-and-10. If you convert, you keep going. If you don’t, you’re giving the ball back to someone knocking on your own red zone. We’re getting rid of the extra point. We want people to play on the field, so they’re going to have to go for two points. …. We’re going to take the play clock down to 30 seconds, so it reflects what’s happening in the game already. Most NFL offenses are getting to the line in 17, 20 seconds.”
  9. "put a stamp on it" means: To do or produce something in a way that demonstrates one's unique style. I guess when he plays against the Bills he's going to do something special !!
  10. It's seems Shady seems to be in the Bills plans for "19. Ford and Murphy showed quickness and promise. Chris Ivory ran tough and down hill Sunday. Do we keep them all - or- draft a RB like Justice Hill from Oklahoma State in the 2nd Round? He's 5'10", 190, and runs a 4.47 40.
  11. Agreed. Everyone is afraid of a "race discussion". It's uncomfortable! 13% of the US population is Black. 67% of College and NFL players are Black. GM's in the NFL are hoping a Black HC Coach can make a difference with the majority of his players. TRUTH OR DARE to SPEAK !
  12. Maybe this has been answered before? What divisions do the Bills play in both the AFC and NFC in '19 besides the AFC East? Thank you!
  13. The guy is a dangerous PUNK on the field. He's really a pretty average player but tries to stand out by making hard, cheap shot hits. A suspension for a few games by the NFL in 2019 would hurt his wallet.
  14. I agree about Marv. He always said "adjustments were nonsense". You just had to execute your game plan better. Obviously in the last 3 Super Bowls we didn't do anything different at all. It killed us.
  15. Bills-Jags blacked out. The Bills announced that Sunday's Play-Off game against the Jaguars has been blacked out for local TV. The game did not sell out 72 hours prior to kickoff (Sunday 1 pm) so the game will not be broadcast on TV in the Buffalo or Rochester viewing areas. (Buffalo News) ** Note: The Actual attendance was a little over 70,00 in an 80, 000 seat Rich Stadium
  16. The Bills set an NFL record previous to this game with 9 straight play-off wins at HOME. On December 28th 1996 the Bills lost to the upstart Jacksonville Jaguars 30-27 at Rich Stadium in an AFC Wild-Card Game. It turned out to be Jim Kelly's last game. The Bills had Bruce Smith, Ted Washington, Bryce Paup and Chris Spielman on defense. Jacksonville had Mark Brunell , Natrone Means and Tony Boselli on offense. It was a great, back and forth, exciting game. WHY were the rules and officiating so different then??? -There was 1 (one) defense holding in the backfield penalty -There were 2 (two) defensive line holding penalties -No calls on tackling a player going out of bounds -One (1)Pass Interference penalty -No helmet-to-helmet calls -No personal foul penalties although there was pushing and shoving -NO REPLAYS Personally I miss that type of game!
  17. The guy can't tackle and appears to avoid tackles - that's what I see!
  18. What do you think 2017 was??? Jettisoning Watkins, Dareus, Wood, Preston Brown and more for draft picks & salary caps savings wasn't part of a REBUILD??
  19. THANK YOU FOR AN EXCELLENT POST AND REALISTIC POINT OF VIEW!!! ALL OF THE ABOVE IS SO TRUE!!!
  20. It's been a long run - Merry Christmas to you and your family! Merry Christmas to you and your family! It's been many years of fun!
