  1. That's the problem with this 'plan'. Nothing but words. Look at the facts of the players on the field. We're a mess. I'd like to know if Crossman brought him in?? What a mess. He can't punt, he's slow to get the punt off - and - he can't hold the ball for the place kicker!!! Who's running the show??
  2. I really can’t believe the 3 year re-build plan for the Bills will have much success in 2019. Regardless of 10 draft picks and $90 mil in cap space it doesn’t make sense. Realistically we need new, quality; O Lineman (3), WR (3), RB (2), LB (1), TE (1), DB (1), DL (1) That’s 12 total to be competitive!! We’re going to have to over-pay for quality, top tier free-agents to come to Buffalo. We all know the risks with drafts picks in their rookie seasons (Zay Jones, Teller, McCloud and even Edmunds). It just doesn’t happen. I love believing in the PROCESS but with a young, raw QB who is still unproven while trying to blend a plethora of new players into a competent NFL team seems unrealistic. It may sell tickets but not win a lot of games. GO BILLS!
  3. Good review of the game. Why, oh Why after training camp, pre-season and now 15 games into the season doesn't the OL improve even a little bit? Why the same penalties over and over?
  4. I felt the same about mailing it in. How can we have so many players that can't tackle? Levi Wallace is a joke. Did we make mistakes signing 'Star' and Trent Murphy rather than a free agent guard or tackle??
  5. He was fired immediately after a loss to Tampa Bay in 1986. Marv replaced him and the rest is - - -
  6. Mike played with a lot of toughness. He wasn't the big name like Joe D or Reggie but he got the job done. RIP!
  7. Takeo Spikes was one of the top 5 LB's to ever play for the Bills. Wish they had him in the SB years!
  8. THANK YOU for this post and reply to the original poster. I have noticed in all his posts a little biased against our young HC. He's doing great with very little real NFL talent and a pure rookie QB. I admire your strength to speak up! The OP ran a lot of people off several boards because of his reputation! GO BILLS!
  9. 1. The Bills had 3 penalties yesterday vs. the Lions for 20 yards. The only game I can remember which was close was last year vs. the Falcons when they had 4 for 83 yards. DOES anyone remember a lower total? 2. The Bills this season have won the TIME OF POSSESSION battle in 5 of their last 6 games averaging 33 minutes per game. WHY? I don't think it's the running game? Defense? QB play? 3. BILLS BIRTHDAYS TODAY - DECEMBER 17th -Donald Jones 1987 WR 2010-2012 82 receptions for a 10.8 avg per reception -Takeo Spikes 1976 LB 2003-2006 '03 Pro-Bowl, '04 First Team Pro Bowl -Kay Stephenson 1944 QB & HC His only 3 starts as a QB were with the Bills in 1968. He was the HC with Buffalo from 1983-85 with a 10-26 record. He was replaced by Hank Bullough and a year later Hank was replace by Marv Levy. ANY COMMENTS ABOUT THESE FORMER BILLS!!??
  10. Great reply. It's ruining the game for the fans and players. Why are the referees so old??
  11. I agree here. With high speed computer re-play vs. officials chatting on the field about a call, then going to replay, then having an official review it and then having a challenge - - it would be quicker!
  12. The terrible calls are enough. The calls that aren't made make it worse. Phantom holding in the backfield on critical 3rd downs, missed helmet to helmet contact calls are all over the field and roughing the passer is getting to be a joke. It looks like some NFL officials feel they have to make a call to be graded well. With all the technology we have including instant replay, slow motion, sky cams etc. can't someone figure out how to track each play or even each player instantly and get things RIGHT???? The players are too fast and too quick today for the officials on the field. NFL officiating is killing a great game and pretty soon you are going to hear the word "FIX". ANY IDEAS???
  13. I agree about Girardi. I have to believe some star players thought he was too tough on them. No to Machado - spare us.. Their infield is a mess right now.
  14. I hope the Yankees dump Sanchez. He's not a team player and a liability behind the dish!
  15. I agree. Very soon it will be a wide-open AFC-EAST and that will be fun. Good post!
  16. His resemblance to Joe Namath on the field. The way he walks to the sidelines. The way he runs the huddle. His release of the football. His touch passes. It's strange but I've seen many Broadway Joe games and Sam has that look!
  17. "I think there's a difference between having Preston Brown in the middle late in games and Tremaine Edmunds. " What?? Preston was a guy you ran into - - a slow poke right behind the tackles. With the Bengals he averaged 3.8 tackles per game before he went on IR. He only got a 1 year contract for $4 mil. That tells you something! Nobody really wanted him. I'm sorry - I think someone is slipping with their posts!
  18. Four assistant coaches immediately after the season ends? 1. Juan Castillo OL Coach. He actually got moved to the Defensive side of the ball after 15 years coaching the Eagles OL. Our OL has gone down hill, even with the lack of talent, since he got here. How can he OK bringing in Bodine, who was ranked 30th in starting NFL centers at Cincinnati last season, and let rookie Adam Redmond slip away to Dallas?? 2.David Culley QB Coach. He's been an NFL Assistant Coach since 1994 and never, ever coached Quarterbacks! Always WR's - -crazy with a rookie QB trying to learn the NFL game. 3. Dan Crossman ST. He's been here way to long! He's a former Carolina Panther guy and I guess it was safe to keep him around. 4. TerryRobiske WR. Over 37 years as a coach in the NFL the Bills are his 7th team. I am guessing the speed of the players and the game itself has changed a lot over those years. Didn't he play against the Bills back in the day?? I hope changes are made.
  19. Thank you for all the most intelligent replies. Sometimes you just have to look at reality and the statistics! Seventy three percent (73%) of African-American men comprise NFL rosters despite representing only six percent (6%) of the United States' population. While the majority of NFL players are black, the NFL fan base is 85 percent (85%) white and 68 percent (68%) male. 12.3 Percent of the US Population is Black (not a mixture with other races). 46 Percent of those numbers are males. That comes to 16 mil black males of all ages 1-80. The NFL has no African-Americans who are a majority owner of a team and no African-American CEOs or Presidents. SO - - How many of the 16 mil black males from 1-80 POST on white-driven NFL message boards??? Love you guys!
  20. He ran a low 4.42 and also is a KR which makes him a reasonable body to replace McKenzie
  21. Between - - Penalties -an average of 14 per NFL game ACCEPTED Rules - changing then each year especially involving kick-offs, tackling and now soon to come punting to meet the players abilities Taunting - allowing it on each and every play but calling a penalty on it only selectively Celebrations - for an interception, fumble recovery or a TD And Finally - - lowering the overall beauty of a great game with excellent athletes by allowing street thugs with no respect for anyone but themselves to become football hero's. It's going to be a sad ending for those of us that love the game.
  22. I respect you Shaw! But if you have other things to do and can't watch the game in the moment then probably you shouldn't write a review! Josh Allen was excellent with the OL around him and Benjamin deserved to be released by the 2 routes he ran short of the 1st down marker. I don't think Bill B would tolerate that crap.
