  1. I'm just mentioning female officials because they've worked well in college football. They don't tend to "buddy up" to senior male officials that seem to get the final voice on penalty calls. What do you think those little huddles are all about when a couple of officials have a different view as to what/which penalty should be called?
  2. So many penalties during every NFL game and NOT just a Bills game. Big plays cancelled by ticky tack fouls when outrageous, obvious penalties are missed. NFL Referees seem to have the authority to make arbitrary interpretations of common sense rules and make very strange game changing calls. Taunting Fouls? You could call taunting on every NFL tackle or big offensive play!!! It's a League wide problem. We need younger and perhaps more female officials that don't serve the needs of the old school NFL owners. Most of the NFL crews have become way over zealous and that can lead to a feeling among the fans of corruption in the game itself.
  3. How can the Bills out gain a team 415-160 in total yards, 24-15 in 1st downs and 66-50 in total plays and still lose on the road! We had 13 penalties for 120 yards. We had 3 turn-overs and Miami had just 1. One of our turn-overs was Allen's desperation toss into the end zone at the end of the first half. I blame this coaching staff. They've collected some pretty good back-up players that are filling in as starters in the NFL but nobody seems to be coaching them up or making them better. Some on the o-line are worse. PENALTIES!!!! I keep hearing every week in the press conferences that we're working to correct techniques. We now lead the NFL with 100 total penalties. Stupid penalties. Blocking in the back, obvious holding in the o-line, false starts etc. What the hell goes on in practice? Are these guys too rich or too stupid to be coached??? Our Special Teams coach should have been fired years ago. Too many men on the field, holding, blocking in the back and general confusion. Our head coach keeps changing punters and now our really great place-kicker is suffering with a new holder every few weeks. By missing a FG and Extra Point today the game was lost. Why couldn't the team find someone else on the roster to learn the holding duties? Maybe Barkley, Hyde or Logan Thomas? And, finally, why do they keep giving the ball to Ivory. He's done. The pitch outs to him were laughable. Six carries for 4 total yards. When Shady made a few runs towards the end of the game he looked like a tired, old horse. Is the coach and the staff too into his players? A bit afraid to hurt ego's? They should have never lost this game - never!
  4. The evidence was that Miami is just as BAD!. And - -we have 28 sacks and the Dolphins have just 17! Josh will have a field day!
  5. You don't win in the NFL with a RUNNING QB! Throw the ball - let's see what Josh has!
  6. We'll be playing in 80 degree weather allowing Josh and McCoy to heat up and get rolling. NO conservative game plan - please! The BOTTOM FIVE in NFL Offense (total yards) as of this Sunday are: 1. Cards 2. Bills 3. Titans 4. Jets 5. DOLPHINS The TOP FIVE in NFL Defense (total yards) as of this Sunday are: 1. Ravens 2. Bills 3. Vikings 4. Chargers 5. Cowboys *** DOLPHINS ARE AT # 29 This is a gimme game for Buffalo. Let Josh turn it loose!
  7. So why did Matt Barkley come in with little knowledge of the play book or his receivers and do a much better job?? I think I see a homer attitude which seems to engulf your life!
  8. WHY? It makes no sense? Why not run Ivory into the center of the line and then have Dawkins & Mills pull and get behind him??
  9. I've been through this before over the last several days when posting about Mr. Shady. Shaw and his follows flock to say he's the same old RB and with an upgraded line he'd be great! I don't see that at all. You play with what you have. They (The Old Shaw Group) refer to the Jets game of 2 weeks ago as proof that the dusty, musty Shade Lamp is as good as ever. 26 carries for 113 yards. They seem to forget we were playing the Jets and Matt Barkley threw the ball all over the field. And, subtract the one 'big' run by McCoy of 28 yards and he averaged just 3.4 yards per carry which is his 2018 average. The man is done.
  10. I seem to remember years ago that there was a rule that prohibited offensive players from pushing a QB or RB from behind allowing him to gain extra yardage when it appeared his forward progress was stopped?? Now a QB or RB gets in the pile and 2 or 3 lineman push him forward. Is it now legal? They used to call a penalty or move the ball back to a spot that the officials felt the assisting began. Thanks.
  11. I apologize for upsetting you with my posts. I did get quite a few responses. Most people had good observations and didn't think is was awEful (?)
  12. He's lost that quick step. No more more shake & bake from his hips and feet. It happens to all great running backs. Do the coaches see it?
  13. 1. Friday at Noon the UB Bulls FOOTBALL Team clinched a birth in the MAC Division Championship Game with a 10-2 record. Another Bowl will follow 2. Saturday the UB Bulls BASKETBALL Team won and remained ranked # 23 in the NATION 3. Saturday the Buffalo Sabres won their 9th straight - yes 9th straight game - and now have the most points in the NHL 4. Sunday our Buffalo Bills beat Jacksonville with a rookie QB Just loving life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. slow down the Rams, Chiefs or Saints to make it a competitive game?
  15. They played on Thanksgiving Day in 1961, '64, '65,'66,'68, 1976, and 1994. In 1976 OJ had 1500+ yards in the season. Saban quit after a 2-3 starter and Jim Ringo went 0-9 for the balance.
  16. COME ON SHAW - you're making me cry - for no reason. He was a lousy player and couldn't be coached. Blame the NFL for making him a 'star' in the making for $1.4 mil. He's so typical of the vast majority of NFL players today - really minority people - that want the money but can't play by the rules of athletic or social conduct.
  17. I watched football & basketball in the 70's - 80's - - what are you talking about? Legitimate hard hits were OK then. Not continual taunting, cheap shots and then general lack of respect for the game.
  18. are taking over our sports! Just recently Baylor & Iowa State had a major brawl. Punching, knee to the chest and more. In NCAA basketball a disgusting deliberate foul is shown below. Who wants to see this? Are the players themselves ruining our games?? https://youtu.be/aBUQv5XDVow
  19. I feel the Bills are doing the right thing in starting Allen for the balance of the season. It really isn't an NFL learning experience for him - rather a gut check for the Bills HC and GM. IF he doesn't show an awareness for the game, a quick release or can't MANAGE the game he's not our man. We've been through this before with Johnson, Losman and EJ. Great talent but not winners in the NFL. I hope he's "the man" and he's getting his chance!
  20. I know LB Ramon Humber was cut just recently. Who replaced him on the team? As of now we have just 5 LB's on the roster and Milano is in CP. Who else is coming to the Bills?
  21. Matt Barkley was great! His play showed that we DO have an offense when it is executed correctly. Josh needs to play out the season. Not only for him to grow as an NFL QB but for the Bill's coaches and management to determine what they really have from the 7th pick in the draft. GO BILLS!
  22. All we hear from July to September is about QB reps. Who looks good and who doesn't. Who runs the plays well and knows the offensive system. Preseason is about not getting players hurt and honestly proves nothing for QB's. It is all so insanely crazy that now we are starting scrap heap QB's (Barkley & Anderson) who weren't in camp, didn't play in preseason and obviously don't know the nuances of our offense. Is all the coach speak about having an offensive system a smoke screen? Is it all FAKE NEWS from the media that makes millions on the NFL?
  23. AJ McCarron. Remember him? Everyone was so happy when he signed with the Bills. AJ would start with Josh and Nate as back-ups. Plus, his wife was a well known model. Cool? I was as naive as the Bills coaching staff. He started 3 games in his 4 year career with the Bengals. I assumed he was a quality QB backing up Andy Dalton. Why wouldn't he be? He flopped all through training camp. He showed nothing in pre-season games. The Bills Management plan for our QB's died right there. Sad that an NFL franchise has to crumble for one bad choice in the off-season. Very Sad!
