You do realize this is Beanes first full season as our GM, the 2018 Draft was his first as our GM, it's kind of hard to field a winning team roster made up of 17 seasons of failure for any GM in just 1 full season imo. To me he's done a decent job so far with what he's had to work with.

I think there was some bright spots in his draft class and un drafted players but free agency I give him a F. Beane wasted money on everyone he signed . Vontae, Star, Ivory, Murphy,  Gaines this possibly one of the worst free agency I ever seen the Bills have.

Pt is people are trying to paint a picture that Belicheck shut down the Rams like he did the 90 Bills and that's not even close to the case.  I realize they have a copy of the game plan he had against us in the Hof.  I wonder if it explains that we had nearly 400yds offense and 19pts in under 20mins of football.

I guess you can't read.  He shut down a high scoring offense. We scored only 19 points. He took the passing game away.  And he along with Parcells outcoached Marv by running the ball down our throats.

Marv should have told Kelly to quit throwing the ball and just let Thurman and Kenny run.

The pt is Belicheck didn't shut down nothing 371 yds & 19 Pts in 20mins of offense. Our D cost us more opportunities to score more. I'm tired of the NFL trying to tell the story the wrong way.

Belichick did tonight what he did in the Bills first Super Bowl.  Shut down a high scoring offense and completely ourcoached McVay just like he outcoached (along with Parcells) Marv.

Belicheck didn't shut down the Bills we moved the ball at will. The problem was the ball control ground and pound attack by the Giants and OJ Anderson. This idea that Belicheck shut us down is a myth we had 371 total yds in 19mins. I'm so sick of hearing this bullcrap. Mof if Norwood hits that fg that gives us 22pts in 19 mins of offense . If our defense got the Giants off the field we win easily by double digits

    Tough one for me.

We are a team almost completely void of star players.  Guys that are among the best at their position.  Athletic freaks that change games.

You need 'em and we don't have 'em.

Is it possible to get them later in the first - yes, should it be easier/more likely to get one at 9 - yes

Free agency will be the answer to this trade, which has me leaning towards keeping the 9th.  Based on Beane's free agency judicious approach, we need a star to come out of the draft.

Who's to say the players we get at 24 & 27 won't be better then the player at 9 . There is no exact science to the draft some many factors involved.  With that being said I think this yr is a great yr to move back in don't see the top 10 as top heavy as recent yrs . I think McBeane would love to make a deal likeep this.

On ESPN bold predictions this morning it says a possible trade partner is Oakland if they want to move up with their stockpile...would you trade down all the way to 24 to get another first?  We would likely have to throw something else in...a nigu second is worth nearly the same and allows us to pick earlier.

Things might get interesting this time around.  :)

Good questions and I don't know the answer to them but I'll make a guess.  Maybe he was trying to first locate then steal the signs in the first half for use in the 2nd half.  And it would be pretty simple for Belicheck to throw a hand signal out to somebody on his defense indicating a run or pass.

There is that 15 second period after they turn off the helmet mics.  This is when Bill could be signalling his D.  Just getting a run versus a pass right would be huge for any pass rush & coverage.  Imagine being able to ignore the play fake as a safety or if you're a D lineman teeing off on the snap knowing it's not going to be a run.  Frankly I'm still amazed at how much pressure NE got on Goff for the ENTIRE game.  Where did that come from?  Did Bill figure out McVay's signals and was he able to just let his D know it's a pass or run.  That would be huge.

This could have something to do with why the Rams switched it up in the 2nd half . They started huddling until the mics went off at 15secs . I think the Rams caught on but it was too late. I wonder what there by plays stats were after they started doing this? Anybody know the answer?

Yes there is.  St Brown, a 6’5” burner who was hamstring by a terrible throwing qb in college, should have been the pick.  There is no upside with a guy like Ray Ray, who wasn’t even as good as Renfrow.  It was a bad pick.

We threw 3pks straight in the trash last draft.

    5th S Neal

    6th Ray Ray

    6th Proel

These 3 guys all were un drafted free agent caliber.

Just closely watched these highlights. The guy is arguably a more complete receiver than anyone coming out of college this year. He has speed (why did he run only a 4.72 at the combine?), separation, elevation, ability to catch in traffic and is elusive enough to rack up YAC. Almost every throw he catches at its highest point (except for the one where he was unsighted and it hits his helmet - he still comes up with it). Enjoy!! Very Very underrated signing by the Bills - could have a shot at our #1 if he has really matured from his college days.

I heard Duke is better suited for the big slot position . He doesn't have the separation skills to play on the outside to consistently beat top corners.

I don't believe Harry will be available anywhere near 40.

We can do poll here of the top 5 Wrs on the board and there's no doubt hardly anyone will be able to have the same 5 let alone the top 3.

I think 2 Wrs will be selected in the first rd. Another 3 in the first 10 pks of rd 2. Teams will see the value wrs in the 2nd rd . They will get pushed back due to other teams needs and what's available during the draft offensive lineman and all defense will be the majority taken in the first rd.

If Harry goes before we make our pk in the 2nd there will be another WR that has the same type of skill set on the board. This draft is full of big catch radius type Wrs.

    DK Metcalf

    Marquise Brown

    N'Keal Harry

    Kelvin Harmon

    Pj Brown

    Hakeem Butler

    Deebo Samuel

    Parris Campbell

    Riley Ridley

These guys are all pretty much ranked all over the place. There will be at least 5 maybe 6 of them available when we pk at #40. There's no doubt the value is in the 2nd rd. I've seen mocks with all these guys going off the board before the other.

I mean why not for a vet minimum but I don’t know how you can expect much from him.

i do like signing former 1st rounders after they “bust” on their first team though (Jerry Hughes).  Perriman was a huge bust for the Ravens but made some plays for the Browns at the end of last year so you never know.

I hope Beane finds someone else to help him scout wrs because he has been terrible in that department.

Yea they have been terrible overall scouting offensive talent.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on this guy? Obviously he’s been a bust for the bears but he’s a huge target. His health is an issue and could not really find his stride in Chicago. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Bills throw a 1 year prove it contract at him

I also could see the Pats trying to sign this guy and if they do, of course he’ll have a 1000 yard season with 10 tds because they’re the pats and everything they touch turns to gold.

I think KW is the type of WR Beane will look at he won't cost much and he's looking for an opportunity to compete for a starting job. The Bills might be able to offer him that opportunity so I think it would make sense for KW to sign with us.

KW is a big strong physically talented WR that McBeane tends to like . I wouldn't mind this signing it's a low risk high reward sort of deal.

I think there's a lot of big bodied high pt type wrs in this draft . There's definitely alot of depth at the position but it's lacking top flight talent. For this reason I believe there won't be more then 2 Wrs in the first rd . The WRs will go in the 2nd and early 3rd rds. It's natural for this group to be pushed back in the draft due to the depth teams will feel like there's more value in the 2nd rd.

It's not often that a team's needs align so perfectly with the strength of a coming draft.

The Bills desperately need offensive linemen and tight ends, and this draft is rich in both.

Call me crazy, but I'd like to see the Bills draft TWO tight ends this year.

It can be reasonably argued that it's a bigger need than WR. At WR, we at least have Foster and Jones and, to a lesser extent, McKenzie. At tight end we have oft-injured Clay (who may be cut) and then a bunch of JAGs. On top of that, a quality TE is a young QB's best friend.

I'll take Hockenson and Fant or Irv Smith . Especially if we can get another 2nd in a trade bk.

We need beef at DT so we aren't getting run over . Not many Aaron Donalds around , we can get pressure up the middle with stunts and Blitzes.

Didn't we spend 11 mil on Star to add the beef. I do agree with more stunts and blitzes.

Nice picks and would love those TEs but i think Hockenson will go around 15.

like those too wasnt to impressed N'Keal , might go OL there like Risener or McGary

Yeah if Risner is there I would love that.

I'm not a big conspiracy guy, although it does seem that certain teams get the calls more often than not.  Regardless, the state of officiating in the NFL is a real problem.  I really don't have any suggestions on how to fix it, or if it is even fixable.  I do know that for me personally, it has impacted how often I view games.  I will watch the Bills game and that's about it.  I use to watch a lot more.

I think the problem with the game is all the gray area calls refs have to deal with on a play to play basis. I remember in the 80s & 90s there wasn't all these rules to deal with and everyone knew exactly what a catch was . Occasionally they would blow a pass interference or make a bad holding call. But now I think the refs have a heavy case of system overload which leaves opportunity for massive mistakes. I guess they should at least add 1 more official to the crew maybe that can help.

Yep. KC had most of the bigger calls go their way in that AFCCG.

U sure about that? How bout the Phantom RTP on Brady or the non call on Mahomes getting hit in his face. Ntm the reason Dee Ford was lined up a finger Offside is because Trent Brown was lined up illegally.

  17. 14 hours ago, Doc Brown said:

That call pry wouldn't have been reversed though as John Sullivan did have a hold of the defenders jersey so it would have to be indisputable video evidence that he didn't .  I like the idea of giving the head coach one challenge a game to challenge a ref's judgement call and another one in the final five minutes of the game.  I just worry about it slowing the game down even more.

Maybe the NFL Needs to implement or change the way they call holding. We all know to some degree jerseys are being grabbed on every play. Especially on run downs or after the catch sometimes they call the hold away from the play. The ones that have nothing to do with said play shouldn't be counted.

Here's another idea maybe the lineman should wear a special type of gloves that doesn't allow them to hold whatsoever.
