I think it’s more likely they get him signed to an extension than franchise him. Players hate the tag for good reason and agents will not stand for it if they have the space to offer the deal. But he’s going to want the largest defensive contract in history so they will need to want to pay him that. Will he get it? I don’t know but he will want it and my guess is if Houston doesn’t do it someone else will. They have a QB deal looming, so can’t tie up all the space. Honestly neither can the Bills, they gave a lot of young players they will need to pay in the next couple years and need to be thoughtful even though it looks like they have a lot of space. Just saying it’s not always clean.

He's got be crazy to command richest contract in history. But i guess thats the tactic agents will use to get there clients top dollar.

I agree Whaley when paired with McD had a great draft & i think if he would have had someone like that prior to McD's hiring as a HC he would have done much better & had a number of better players drafted by him to show for his time !

But given that every HC that got hired while he was the GM had such a different plan & the Pegs swinging for the fences with the Rex hire i think helped to put Whaley in a spot where the pressure was a lot more than normal then you add Brandon in the mix & that was a terrible addition to what was going on !!

Whaley was a wheeler dealer & if paired with others that could have given him a better path due to him being a rookie GM i think he could do a much better job than he did but the incompetence that surrounded him didn't help him or the Bills at all especially when it came to writing contracts thank goodness for Bean in that department !!

The thing is Beane is already on track with the bad contracts.

    5yrs 55mil Star

    3yrs 21mil Murphy

    1yr 5mil Vontae

With the resources Beane had to work with last offseason looks like he didnt do a great job at all with the money.

  3. Its pretty obvious that Whaley never had true power running this team. He never got to hire the coach he wanted. Rex was a bad fit for the type of players we had. It seemed like there was to many cooks in the kitchen and no real organizational structure.

Remember when we fired Rex the Pegulas held a press conference turning over full control of the organization to Whaley only for him to be fired 4 months later. I believe Whaley is a good GM and deserves another chance like Rick Speilman got in Minnesota.

  4. There's 2 teams i think a trade can possibly make sense with

    #1 Raiders they have  2 1sts 25, 27, 2nd 35

The Raiders will probably want one of the top pass rushers on the board or a LB like Devin White. They can give us 25, 27 & 35 for our first at 9th overall & our 3rd 74th.

This would give us 4pks in top 40

    #25- DT Jeffery Simmons

    #27- TE Noah Fant

    #35- WR Marquise Brown

    #40 - WR Hakeem Butler

With this trade we load up first off Jeffery Simmons is a beast and will fill in at the 3tech admirably. With next 3 pks we get an explosive pair of Wrs Brown can line up everywhere an is an absoulte threat Hakeem Butler is an outside Wr with size 6'6 218lbs and speed . Noah Fant will be a total mismatch for CBs and LBs . I would love this trade and it can set us up for the future. Obviously we would have to fix our oline in free agency for this to work.

The 2nd team is the Colts they have 22, 34, 58 it would take at least there 22, 34 and a 1st next yr to get a trade with them done. The Colts will possibly entertain trading up for Oliver or a pass rusher in this scenario.

Literally EVERYONE i've talked to about this agrees that the train whistle is not only annoying, but its downright embarrassing. As far as the lore goes of the team, it doesn't even make sense or fit in with our team.

The sound of a Buffalo stampede makes the most sense, stampeding Bison would work. Perhaps even just having Native American drumming.

    ANYTHING BUT THE DAMN WHISTLE!

The whistle is the equivalent of a siren playing at a dance music club. It was cool the 1st time u heard it 20 years ago, but now when it plays it makes you cringe.

    Please, just make it stop

What are u still doing at the clubs after 20yrs lol. Me myself im more of a bar scene kind of guy. I can actually hear what people are saying when they talk. Idk once i hit 38 didnt care to much bout dancing anymore.

Any QB that can barely complete half of the passes he throws will never throw for 4000 yards in a season.

Allen % will get better im thinking he'll hit 60% as soon as next season. Once we get this kid some talent around him and line that can block for more then 2 secs Josh will be able to work threw his progressions and find the open Wr . This is just the start for him as with expericence the gm will naturally come to him.

This is a joke? The better questing should be since as a starter in college in a mediocre division playing against scrub defense never completed more than 56% of his passes, can JA complete 55% of his passes in the next season?  This season he was at 52%.  SO FAR he is better suit to be a RB or WR just like ex- Bills former speedy running QB like Terrelle Pryor.   Rosen so far had proven to be a better passer QB.

Use the force Luke. Dont let that hate of the dark side feed u . Just let go . Embrace Allen and what he can possibly be for us in the future. Lol.

All jokes aside i had that same feelings towards Allen but now i have decided to embrace him and to hope that he can work out the holes in his game and continue to progress and to someday bring home the lombardi trophy for our beloved Bills.

Is it possible with Allen...Yes absolutely it is considering thats an average of 250 yards passing and 62.5 yards per game rushing which is clearly capable of without question.

However:  Is it LIKELY to happen, probably not simply because if he is throwing for 250 yards or more per game, his running yardage probably won't average 63 a game..  Also, if he is averaging over 250 yards passing per game, I would expect our RB's would have a bigger presence in the rushing department because it will TOUGH for defenses to face Allen who can smoke you deep in a second while also having to defend him as a runner and that should really help the RBs get going.  I would expect our run game would be pretty good outside of Allen in that case further cutting down on his weekly average of yards rushing.  Now if our running backs still cant get going, I think the possibility of this is higher.

Certainly think 600 to 800 yards is more reasonable if he eclipses 4000 yards throwing  I do think the TD spread totals are more achievable than the yards.  He can certainly get a lot of rushing Redzone TD's (like Newton) running and even some long ones running while also throwing for a lot too.  Maybe its more like 25 to 35 in the air and ten rushing.  Obviously, we are talking about a pretty explosive offense in this case, but Josh Allen 100% has this type of potential.

Personally, I really do believe he will eclipse 35 to 40 total TD's next year combined rushing and throwing if we can protect him better and get the right weapons.  Wouldn't surprise me to see him CATCH one too.

The fact that we are even talking about such crazy numbers and thinking that its within reach this is a great thing for our team moving forward. Basically the skies the limit fellas so lets fly!

  9. I think its tough but i dont think we've seen a talent quite like Allen. If he is gonna be great or amongst the greats he gonna do things people dont expect is possible. I havent done the numbers but im pretty sure since he came bk from injury his rushing #s per gm are well over 62 now i realize he barely cracks over 200 passing but he's just a rookie and has help on the way via the draft and free agency. If Allen does achieve something like this i do expect him to do it within his first 7 seasons in NFL.

  10. I'll be honest i wasn't a Allen guy when we drafted him. Matter of fact i hated the pk and thought he would be a complete bust. I kept thinking about the Mahomes trade that seemed to be a disaster for us.

Wow have things changed . I will admit now i am a believer in Allen future and the future of this franchise. Its gonna be a really exciting offseason. My question is at some point in his career can Allen achieve this crazy Lebron James esqe numbers. What we have seen from Allen so far is not even scratch in the surface of what he can develop into. I realize he still has many flaws in his game that he needs to work on and defenses will adjust to what he does best. But if he hits his peak upside i think this type of season is very possible for him to achieve and if he does he would be the first NFL QB to ever do it. 250yds passing a gm and 62yds rushing will do it. The question is can he.

  11. I agree with this plan and i expect the Bills to go after young vet Wrs entering there 2nd contracts i expect us to sign at least 2 Wrs.

    John Brown

    Donte Moncrief

    Devin Funchess

    Kevin White

    Adam Humphries

    Chris Conley

I can also see them trying to lure in a vet wr to lead the room . This signing will be after the dust settles in free agency a player that might fit this motto is Randall Cobb.

A very encouraging game of redemption for young Mr. Edmunds today! He was notably more physical today and not as hesitant on reads. Wrapped up well and used the wingspan at times.

He defintely had his breakout performance i think he should pack on some muscle and move outside gives us oppurtunity to draft Deven White . Milano, Edmunds & White will be best young lber core in NFL.
