Meh. It's exactly what Matt Patricia did last week and Allen made plenty of plays from the pocket.  They made him "Be a Quarterback" and he was just that.

Wouldnt u say they did a good job holding us to 14pts. I think any team will expect to win that holds there opponent to 14. I love JA but he needs and hopefully will develop into a QB that can consistently throw darts accurately from the pocket.

...not really convinced about Castillo, Robiskie, Culley or even Frazier for that matter.....plenty of discussion about them here with very few positives.....Robiskie (37 yrs), Culley (25 yrs) and Frazier (20 yrs) have been in the coaching ranks for a long time....sure there are those that lean heavily in favor of that coaching experience.....just can't buy that these guys are victims to 100% personnel failures as in a gang of 53 pocketing $150+ mil.......perhaps some of their perceived "tried and true" teachings and techniques have not kept up with the evolution of the current game......we're going "younger" personnel wise so why not some fresh young minds in the coaching ranks?....just a thought....look how McBeane dumped most if not all of the OBD "scouting staff lifers", some with 30 yrs experience........

Fire Robiskie move Cully to Wrs coach and pay Defillipo handsomely to become our new QB coach.

Fant played scared most of this season. That’s a major red flag. As a Hawkeye fan, I cringe to think that this team could have been in the B1G championship game if a guy with Fant’s skill actually wants to be on the field.

One additional comment... Fant wasn’t even the best TE on his team - TJ Hockenson is the better TE and is very similar to a George Kittle.

If thats the case then we can get him later in the draft.

Great, so we draft a TE in the first round, and it takes him “3 to 4 yrs to develop into a difference maker”, just as his rookie deal is expiring.  You don’t see a problem with that?  No to Fant in rd 1.

This meaning by yr 3 or 4 he's a difference maker. So your looking at his first 2yrs where he will not bust with his talent he will make plays still just wont be dominate most likely. Someone mentioned OJ Howard here i see Fant doing what he has done in his first 2 seasons. Which is flash at times and at others wont.  But next season is Howards 3rd yr i fully expect him to take that step up to dominate elite status TE.

Please no first round TE unless its late in the first. I would prefer us to shore up our Oline or a big time WR, assuming we stay put with our draft order

This is not the yr for big time Wrs. The first rd just not value at that position. I'd rather take the dynamic TE in the 1st and find value at Wr in the 2nd rd.

  6. Wouldn't u like to have Ebron now? I was hoping the Bills would of signed him last offseason. At the end of last yr he played very well in the last 4gms.

TEs usually take 3 to 4 yrs to develop into difference makers Ebron has followed in Vernon Davis career arch. I expect the same if we draft any TE this yr. Especially if its Fant.  I agree with this pk if we hit on Fant then the sky is the limit for this offense moving forward. Most elite offenses have dynamic TEs that are matchup nightmares.

I love your mock FA and draft but unfortunately not your optimism. You have a lot of players listed that will be sought out by many other teams. Teams with better personnel, better weather and established QBs. Not saying a couple of them can't be acquired, but as usual the Bills will have to pay a premium for players to come here. Buffalo while a very nice place IMO, doesn't have the nightlife of NY or Miami. The tax breaks of Florida or Texas. We have a raw yet very talented young QB. I don't know what it would cost but if Star got 10 mil per I can only imagine.

I was gonna mention what u said about free agents coming to Buffalo . I think its more about the skill position guys then anything else. We usually dont have prbs signing defensive guys or olineman . For some reason especially oline there more grounded individuals . With that being said we have the money and we need to attack the situation as best as possible. Maybe we dont get all 3 of the guys i mentioned maybe we sign a different combo of guys but my point is if we can fix our oline with money then it opens up the draft for our skill position players on offense.

Attack the first couple of days of free agency by signing 3 guys to this oline. Make a statement sign them all right away even if we can during the first day.

    RT Daryl Williams 26yrs

    LT Donavon Smith 25yrs

    C Mat Paradis 29yrs

I know what your thinking what about Dawkins . Well move him to LG . Dawkins has struggled at times this yr and is more suited to kick inside where he can be an all-pro guard . Lots of scouts had him as a guard coming out of college and i think his skill set is better suited for the inside also. Its gonna take upwards of 40 mil to sign these 3 guys but it will be well worth it.

    Projected starting 5

    LT Smith

    LG Dawkins

    C Paradis

    RG Teller

    RT Williams

This is a monster oline that can move mountains in the run gm and pass pro with the best of them. Yes they will be getting paid but with our QB still on his rookie deal for another 4yrs plus with my plan to go skill postion heavy in the draft on offense. We shouldn't even fell the cap burden of putting that type of money on the line. Not only will this line be 1 of the better units in the NFL but they are also very young group.

TE - Jessie James or Demitruis Harris

These guys can step in and play from day 1 on this team . They also can be fantastic #2 TEs once we develop the rookie i got us taking high in this draft

    Wrs

    John Brown & Chris Conley

I want this team to look like a track meet on Sundays.

    RBs

Mark Ingram - Ingram would be a great fit in Dabolls offense. He can run with power and speed both inside and outside and he's great in the screen gm.

Malcolm Brown . I like what i have seen from this kid in limited action with the Rams . I believe the Bills should trade McCoy and add 3 new running bks. 1 via draft and 2 free agents.

    Bkup QB

    Sign Fitzmagic .

    Defense

I wouldn't do much here this offseason. We have a top 5 D and we can use some of our pks later in the draft to add depth to secondary and Dline.

    Draft

Rd1 trade bk add another 2nd

1st pk -  Wr -Marquise "Hollywood" Brown- this kid is a speed demon line him up every where and let him catch bombs from Allen for yrs to come.

    2nd rd TE-Noah Fant

Noah Fant will be a dynamic TE that is to fast for LBers and to big for corners. In other words he's a matchup nightmare.

    2nd rd via trade

RB Bryce Love- i can see Love playing in that Kamara role in the NFL.

Paradis is better than Morse but Morse is definitely more likely to hit FA. Nick Easton is the third option and probably cheaper and again when I look at what Daboll wants to run where the centres and guards pull out are asked to move in space setting up screens etc he seems a fit. He is an athletic center rather than a road grading run blocker. If they want to just line up and pound it (I don't think they do but maybe I am wrong) Easton isn't a fit. The best thing he does is recognise defensive alignment and change protections to pick up the blitz. Super high football IQ.

I know Morse is also very high football IQ he was helping Mahomes big time in the early weeks of the season with protections etc, etc. He also gets out in space very well and is going into his 5th season in the NFL. Like i said Paradis is good but rather have Morse we can get him for maybe 8 to 10 mil per.

Obviously things can change between now and training camp but here's my list of FA's we need to sign.

Number 1, Sheldon Richardson. I doubt the Vikings will let him walk but he hasn't signed an extension yet and if it remains that way, Buffalo needs to pay up. The thought of Richardson, Phillips, and Hughes on the d-line is very intriguing. We have the cap space. Don't be cheap.

My number 2 FA target would be a guy that not many are talking about here.

Quincy Enunwa would be my number 1 FA priority at the WR position. A big body WR that can work the middle of the field and won't cost much against the cap. IMO the best bang for your buck in this sorry FA WR class.

Lastly, sign C Matt Paradis. Desperately need a quality veteran Center that can help Josh Allen on the field. Help Josh with the blocking schemes and most importantly communicate to Josh what he sees when they're lined up. Don't be cheap on a veteran Center to help Allen grow.

IMO this fills positions of need and puts us in a situation to draft BPA in the draft. Grab best available player at CB, WR, OT, RB and go from there.

Paradis would be nice but i'm surprised no one here has mentioned Mitch Morse . Morse is younger and better and KC will most likely not resign him . With that being said this is my offseason on offense .

Use free agency to load up the Oline

RT - sign either Daryll Williams or Donovan Smith .

    C - sign Mitch Morse

Guard - lots of good players available here i would target Saffold or Foster from Pitt.

WR - John Brown lets get a couple of true burners this offseason.

RB - Trade McCoy and sign Mark Ingram he's younger and a much better fit for our power running scheme. Not only that but Ingram is very good in the screen gm. Ingram seems like a custom made fit for Daboll offense.

TE - sign either Demitrus Harris or Erik Swoope from Indy or even both u can get these guys for cheap.

The Draft. This is where the offense gets its weapons for the future.

    1st rd

We should be pkn from 7-12 .

Draft TE -NOAH FONT FROM IOWA.

By the time draft rolls around in April Font will be a sure fire top 15pk and the #1 TE in the draft. He has great size 6,5 250lbs and will run in the 4.4 range if not faster at the combine . Font is also a good blocker and route runner. Font has the body type to pack on more muscle and can be a absoulute monster by his 3rd or 4th season in the NFL.

2nd 1st . I can see the Bills jumping bk into late first rd to get a Wr. We got the ammo why not move up. I i believe they will move bk into first for 1 of these 3 players.

    #1 Marquise "Hollywood" Brown

    #2 DK Metcalf

    #3 Nkeal Harry

Now we fixed our oline added some serious speed for the offense.  We still got plenty cap space and more pks to add depth to the team on offense and defense.

It is not easy to add receivers when you have a rookie quarterback and a bad offensive line.  There are only a few good free agent wide receivers each year and they usually go where they be assured the quarterback throwing to them is experienced.  Who exactly could the Bills have added?  Everyone loves to criticize but they never have names of players the Bills should have signed.  Drafting a good wide receiver is not easy either unless you are prepared to use a number 1 draft pick.

There was alot of Wrs in 2017 draft. We passed on them. We traded up twice once for Zay and the other for Dawkins. That draft was loaded with offensive talent. Not only did we pass on Wrs we passed on TEs and RBs .

    Wrs

    Juju 2nd

    Galladay 3rd

    Godwin 3rd

    Dede Westbrook 3rd

    Kupp 4th

    RBs

    Hunt 3rd

    Kamara 3rd

    Cohen 5th

    TEs

    Kittle 5th

    Everett 2nd

That's not true. They brought in Foster. They've brought in other WR's with speed that have not worked out. Only recently have they had SUCCESS with speed WR's, but they've been looking and signing guys.

U kidding me. They brought in Foster. Loool

  12. 12 hours ago, MJS said:

The world does not revolve around Nathan Peterman (nor does this team).

You assume that because they recently mentioned speed in a press conference? So that means that the coaches and GM have NEVER discussed speed before? Really?

What strong deduction skills you have.

Why does McDermott need to "man up" in that situation? What's the logic? Allen struggled so they didn't think he was ready, which means he needs to "man up" and do what exactly? Start Allen anyway? Is that what a true man would do?

Isn't it obvious . The proof is there for u to see for a yr and half that whether or not they spoke about it they didn't add any speed until recently . This means it was not a proirity for them which is mind blowing.

just looked at indy's schedule. they play miami at home this week...hmmm...think about how that could work to our benefit....

anyway then they have texans/titans/cowboys/giants and jags. they might just fall off....

Indy is the real deal. They started the season slow but played every game tough. Luck hasn't been sacked in a month. Indy will make the playoffs and possibly win the wildcard. Btw we dropped the ball with Reich he should be here.

It’s apparent both McD and Beane have issues evaluating talent. I think it was another mistake and not a strategic move.

I can’t believe this staff believed Peterman was the best out of the 3. Just crazy.

Exactly i mean it took them nearly 2 yrs to discuss speed on offense. Wth are these guys doing for 16hrs a day at one Bills drive. Not addressing or discussing speed on offense is like opening a pizzeria with no toppings. This is insane.

  15. The Bills should build the Oline via free agency. Sign bandcamp member Daryl Williams he's a pro bowl RT . I would also add Mitch Morse at C and Ramon Foster at G.

    STARTING 5 IN 2019

    LT Dawkins

    LG Foster

    C Morse

    RG Teller

    RT D Williams

With free agency being weak at the skill positions the Bills will have the money to spend big on the Oline. I'm thinking its gonna cost upwards of 30mil to sign all 3 of these players. But with Dawkins still under control for 2yrs and Teller for 3yrs it wont hurt much towards the cap. Lets just say there spending 35 mil on there oline thats an average of 7 mil per player thats not bad in todays NFL.  Plus that money gets us a top 5 oline so thats money well spent .

    Wr

I would go hard after Tyrell Williams . He's gonna command a deal at about 10mil per in free agency but for us to sign him i think we got to offer more . 12 mil per will get him here. Ty Will fits what McBeane is looking for in a Wr . He's big and fast has great hands and is a team player. I would also offer Kevin White a 1yr prove it deal and i think he'll take it especially if we offer him a sizeable role in this offense.  Kevin White will be looking for a team like us to get the oppurtunity to be featured he also fits the McBeane type Wr with his size/speed .

TE i think this position is weak in free agency but there is a few under the rader guys i think the Bills should take a good look at starting with Demetris Harris from KC . DH is a freak stands at 6'7 and 260 lbs and has very good speed to stretch the seems . He's another guy looking for a featured role being stuck behind Kelce for the last 5yrs and he's only 27yrs old with low milege . DH would be a great signing because he can block and can slide into a #2 TE role easily in the future once we develop the TE we will draft.

The 2nd guy i would take a look at is Erik Swoope from Indy . He's one of those basketball power forward converted types that can have a bright future in the NFL with more development.

Other TE's i wouldn't mind signing in free agency is Jesse James from Pitt and CJ Uzumoh from Cinny.

    DE

This is the position i believe the Bills should go big on Jadeveon Clowney.  Back up the brinks truck and dump the money on this kid. JC wants to go back to his original postion at DE and i don't believe Houston has the money to franchise him. With Hughes entering his final yr in his deal were gonna need to get his replacement. JC would be a menace on this D and with my plan to go DT with our first pk in the draft Ed Oliver and resign Jordon Phillips to go with Harrison, Star , Murphy & Shaq this will give us the deepest DLine in the league for yrs to come.

    Cornerback #2

Sign EJ Gaines . Ej played the best ball of his career under McD in 2017 and would come cheap for maybe 3 or 4mil per yr.. this signing also solidifies our secondary for the foresable future. Another Bandcamp member we can possibly sign is Bene Benwikere . BB is another Mcd type that he developed while at Carolina and he's having a good season over in Arizona under Steve Wilks. He fits our system like a glove and won't command much money in free agency.

    Now to the Draft

1st rd Ed Oliver if he's not there then Rashaan Gary . Get our 3tech of the future.

After rd 1 go hard on offense. Best available from rds 2 threw 5 on Wrs, TE & RBs. With the Oline being built threw free agency and some value signings at Wr and TE other then Ty Will. We can afford to add best available talents via the draft. I would attack my offseason like this and i expect the Bills to do the same especially with the offense . We will be looking for value players that haven't been given oppurtunity to start or be featured on there previous teams. This will be mainly because not only is free agency weak on offense but because the Bills arent prime destination for top free agents on the offensive side of the ball either.
