Lol I just posted that we had local community draft and Grant went at 10 which was shocking to me. But apparently some people have him that high.

I don't do online mock drafts but we just had one in my local community. At 30 I traded down with Eagles for picks 32 + 134. At 32 I traded down with Titans for picks 35 + 120. It was only one round, so I technically did not pick, but Browns stayed at 33 and were ready to pick QB, and I was guaranteed to pick either Amos or Hairston at 35 (Grant went at 10 lol and it was the only crazy thing that happened). So CB at 35 and then picks 56 + 62 in the second round 109 + 120 + 132 + 134 in the fourth round With all these picks Beane could make any trade up in the second round or get into the third (or both). I really hope he'll be able to pull of something similar.

Agreed. Without him, we'd already have 6 SBs.

Out of curiosity, which players would you consider trading up for? And I mean two scenarios: a) using one of our seconds to get to 19-20 range b) using 109 to trade with Rams to 26

Yeah this is what makes it really interesting. Of they don't pick CB round 1 then it seems very likely that quite a big trade up will be required to get one in round 2. So it really seems that Beane might be forced to take CB in round 1 which I'd hate unless that guy will be BPA on their board or close to it. Curious to see how it ends up here in TBD mock draft.

I think that at least Scourton and Revel should be included. EDIT: Oops my comments about Bears trade were wrong, I didn't realize there was a trade in our mock. Anyway, I voted for trade down. With Grant, Amos, Revel, Scourton and Hampton still on the board I am willing to go down and get pick 72 for 109 and 177. Then do some magic in the 2nd round.

I know this is completely random but when our friends @ JetNation made similar exercise he lasted until Bills pick and guess what - a smart poster named Dcat actually picked him for the Bills. Well if that is the case and we grade Revel, Hairston and Amos similarly I surely hope Beane will trade down a little bit.

At combine, Bills met with 6 safeties, including Starks, Emmanwori, Watts and Mukuba. They absolutely can draft a safety with one of their first three picks.

I agree it was risky, but it shouldn't affect out drafting much imho. Take BPA in Nolen, make your team better and figure out rest later. Either Porter or someone else is there, or you trade up in 2nd to get a CB you want, or you just pass if value is not there and then throw two darts in rounds 5 or 6 and hope that one of them becomes poor man's version of Benford. Or you just play Jackson and assume he can hold his own better than before thanks to Nolen who provides more pressure.

I say BPA again which in my understanding is either Bond or Ayomanor. In addition, they fill a need. Latter is not in the poll, so I voted Bond.

Ok, we differ in opinions. I don't see a reason to guess what Beane would do. I agree we are not building a big board, but to me this is not mock when it comes to Bills, this is simulation of real draft. And in this simulation, TSW takes same wrong approach as (sometimes) Beane.

As for the first bolded, that's the same response I got from @HappyDays but I don't get it. It doesn't matter what Beane would do, vote should be about what TSW would do. As for the second, I don't know and don't care. Take BPA on reasonable position in Nolen and figure your next moves then. Maybe there will be a CB we like when we pick, maybe we will need a little trade up, maybe we end up with taking WR and DE and then take two shots on CBs in the fifth round. All I know is that you DO NOT DRAFT FOR NEED in early rounds. That is just bad business.

I partly agree but Nolen over Amos isn't hindsight. I said it when we chose him. Amos over Nolen is just bad drafting based on the need. I can't phantom how majority of the board criticize Beane for drafting for need and then does the same. We reached for CB in the first only to reach for DT in the second. Amazing job TSW lol. And yeah I know that in reality there are trades available but the point stands.

I am confused. So you voted for Amos from the very same reasons you don't want Beane to do it? I wanted Nolen so I voted for Nolen and want Beane to do the same.
