As for the first bolded, that's the same response I got from @HappyDays but I don't get it. It doesn't matter what Beane would do, vote should be about what TSW would do. As for the second, I don't know and don't care. Take BPA on reasonable position in Nolen and figure your next moves then. Maybe there will be a CB we like when we pick, maybe we will need a little trade up, maybe we end up with taking WR and DE and then take two shots on CBs in the fifth round. All I know is that you DO NOT DRAFT FOR NEED in early rounds. That is just bad business.
-
I partly agree but Nolen over Amos isn't hindsight. I said it when we chose him. Amos over Nolen is just bad drafting based on the need. I can't phantom how majority of the board criticize Beane for drafting for need and then does the same. We reached for CB in the first only to reach for DT in the second. Amazing job TSW lol. And yeah I know that in reality there are trades available but the point stands.

I am sooo ready for the Bengals taking another WR, this time for real

TSW 1.0 Poll - Who should the Bills select at #30 (Poll Closed)
No_Matter_What replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am confused. So you voted for Amos from the very same reasons you don't want Beane to do it? I wanted Nolen so I voted for Nolen and want Beane to do the same. -
If this happens, years from now people will blame Beane that he drafted for need while better players were drafted right behind us. And TSW poll makes the same choice lol

TSW 1.0 Poll - Who should the Bills select at #30 (Poll Closed)

Absolutely this. That's why I will hate if he makes it AGAIN and drafts guy like Amos instead of guy like Nolen (I am not able to evaluate players myself, I am saying this based on consensus board and what good posters here say). Stop drafting for need early, get the best players. -

Maybe he brings a notebook with him, that will be a final straw... -

I wonder how many of you (even from ones who voted for him) would be underwhelmed if we ended up with Amos in real draft. And I also wonder how many of you (again including those who voted for him) would say that Beane has reached for need over BPA. (I am not trying to be ****, I just think that there would be very little excitement on these forums, just like after Elam or Coleman picks). -
Haha I love that you made Chiefs pick before the Bills pick But since we are not taking OT it is perfectly fine.

Sportrac details: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/77062/christian-benford Cap hits: 2025 - $2,6M 2026 - $7,5M 2027 - $19,4M We can cut him after that with $9,2M dead cap. -

If we are including unlikely positions, then TE Loveland should be in based on his consensus ranking, which is top 20. Also DT Williams was mentioned couple times as potential 1st round pick. But none of them will be chosen eventually so who cares Looks like a solid pool to choose from. I say BPA between WR/DL/CB. Nolen? -
So I'd say based on mocks and reading these forums these guys should be included DTs: Nolen, Williams, maybe Collins DE: Green, Ezeiruaku, Scourton CBs: Hairston, Amos WR: Burden

Everyone just talking here and nobody tagging @Ralonzo!

I think @Ralonzo should make the pick so nobody messes up his Commanders pick

Don't you think that they are able to evolve? Elam had measurables McDuffie didn't and how it turned out? -
Since I go to bed in 2-3 hours and would love to see TSW poll before that I tag @Ralonzo to make sure he's ready once @TOboy makes his pick

Yeah I can see it I bolded Olave trade and asked where that idea came from. I don't remember any trade rumors related to him. -

This sucks. It lowers our chances to get a comp pick in 2027! J/k. Happy for Benford. Good deal for Bills. -
Absolutely. Shakir and Bernard extensions saved cap space this year, and so will Benford's.
-
I saw them both as our potential path to compensatory pick and they failed me It is crazy that our lone CFA lost atm is Hollins.
-
I need to consult my own cap chart I have at home, but from memory I'd say that (other than Josh's incentive you mentioned) Hoecht and Ogunjobi's cap hits were adjusted - probably due to suspensions.
-
I see that your are checking Sportrac as often as I do Ty Johnson - originally reported as $5M/2, in fact $4/2 with some incentives. Can be cut next year with almost no dead cap. Great deal. Gilliam - same deal as Hamlin, and one thing I don't get. They say it is $2M guaranteed and he gets $2M in cash, but cap hit is $1,3M. Anybody knows how is this possible? Dane - wow he signed basically (or maybe even literally) for vet min.

My bad. I opened old one from Feb 10. There is same trade but different players.
