I hope this is sarcasm. I am still hoping to get an invite to the vein popping. I'll be cheering on the doc.

Bledsoe's recent Dallas struggles (link)
VABills replied to Orton's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah it's real easy to forget that he is missing his probowl left tackle and they are starting a rookie right tackle. And there stud running back has decided that fumbling, dancing andfighting with the coach is more fun then actually playing. But go ahead if it makes you feel better and blame Bledsoe for everything. -
Mike Williams.... why is he a bust?
VABills replied to MartyBall4Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No because he isn't. He got a lot of local media hype because he is a local Buffalo boy, who got way too much press and credit for Anthony Munoz. He has done nothing since then. People will point to a bunch of players 8 years back with the Giants that he did well with that were mostly castoffs. But they weren't really castoffs per say but more midtier FA's that signed with the gients and he did well okay with. Dusty Zieglar being one of them. Remember the Bills tried to resign him, so he wasn't a scrub. -
Interesting Question On Pgh Sports Talk Show...
VABills replied to R. Rich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again, we all know about the "lack of talent" on the Oline. But how much of that is because of lack of coaching. Williams was projected a top 5 guy when drafted. Bennie Anderson was opening major holes in Baltimore for Lewis. Tell me again how Lewis is doing this year? Everyone thinks Mcnally is the savior, but he was rode out of NY after the faliars there, and other then "coaching" Munuz, who I probably could have been named his coach and he still would have been in the HOF. Sorry, but everyone is taking things out on Donahoe for talent and players, but overall he has done okay. Parrish, I believe was a Mularkey demand to have a Randal El type. beyond that Donahoe hasn't done bad. Reed is a #3 receiver, not exactly the #2 expected but when healthy he gets open and for most games hangs onto the ball. I believe Donahoes biggest failure is his unwillingness to bring in strong coaches. -
I knew you were related to tbone, this just confirms it. BTW what recipes with pasta and pickle juice do you know? I am sure you have that in you as well.

Mike Williams.... why is he a bust?

Two that I know that were switched this year, and have already played significant time are Estes from San Fran, and Carswell from Denver. Again, the position of TE varies at colleges where a lot use them as part time blockers and part time receivers other use them as a "wide tackle". These guys tend to wind up being tackles in the NFl. So for Peters to make that switch is great, but in fact because of poor coaching and indecision, his development was delayed. Estes is a rookie this year, Carswell just switched in the off season and has played at tackle and guard for Denver which is one of the best offensive lines in the league. So again with good coaching, Peters who is adequate on a bad oline, probably could be a lot better with a good coach. Also, again, the transition of a blocking TE to tackle does occur quite often and you'll here of 4-5 every year that do it, whether it's stright out of college or even vets like Carswell. Damn almost forgot about Wahle and Jones from the Jets. And Rogers for the Pathers as well switched this year. In addition, Gallery and Steinbech where conversions late in their college careers. -

Have you actually watched him? He isn't that good. Overhyped by the coaching staff, and great strides from TE to tackle, but that transition happens somewhat often. As a TE he already understood some of the end of line blocking schemes, plus he is a good athlete. That makes up for a lot of it. So yeah, bad coaching. -

Injuries and bad coaching. -
Oh like your Cobol is to a self documenting lauguage statement?
-
Yeah, but to say he will be ready to go Sunday?
-
He is supposed to be sick. Yeah whatever. The inmates are revolting. They don't put him on the injury list, he was there yesterday, but all of a sudden the day after the Moulds thing finishes, he is "sick". Seems to me like we might see more illnesses and "other injuries".

Wanna really be wowed? Find an old Chosin Resevoir Marine. Sit down have a talk and see if you can get him to open up about his experience and deidication to his fellow Marines, Soldiers and Sailors.

And again, if these guys are hired by other teams, Ralphs obligation is minimized by whatever amount those teams pay. NFL personnel cannot double dip.

This writer is a hack. First off he takes bit and pieces to "justify" his reasoning. While Drew made lead the NFC in fumbles, this year, he forgets about the 6 others that have 11 or 12 fumbles. So statistically right there with him. Secondly one year doesn't make or break a HOF chance. Stats and winning is what gets you there, and while Drew hasn't won too much the last 4-5 years, he has been one of the best QB's overall the last 12 years in the league. Sour grapes may not be sour, when only looked at.

I can't get past this part: Why is 17-0 a cushion for the Giants, yet we seem to blow that every week.
-
Yet on that play we run a double wide set to the right, TE on the left. Allowed the D to cover the 2 receivers with 2 corners and a safety, and still have a stacked line. Not a good formation to even run a trick play on the 3 yard line from. It's easier to peel a receiver off from inside out, or have a WR go 1 on 1 since you don't double to a split wide corner in a goal line situation.

One sould never criticize until you have sat down with the man and watched 7001 Hulk Hogan tapes together first. Only then do you know what makes him tick.

A whole lot different the the tennessee fumbler.

Yeah except the fact is wrong according ro RD&C. Seems Donahoe was meeting with Moulds. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/p.../512080362/1021

Unless the coaches told the GM they had what they needed. Ever think that the coach said I need a Randal El type, hence we got Parrish? Maybe the GM was listening to his coaches. Remember Mcnally got fired from the Giants for making the claim that he can turn sh-- into gold with olinemen. Now that he is gone, and they are getting horses upfront, instead of the "Great Mcnally" selling liquid elixir.
