Colts @ Chiefs (AFC Divisional Round) GDT - NBC 4:35 pm

I just thought, it's 26 years since Frank Reich led the Bills to victory over the Steelers 24-3 in the divisional round of the playoffs, which was also a Saturday game. -

Amazing. I turned the game on and: 1. Heard Al Michael's voice 2. Saw the snow falling 3. Saw the natural turf of Arrowhead I'll admit it, my joystick began to get a little stiff. This is what the playoffs are all about. Hope it's a great game. -
Mr Decoy, Sammy Watkins expected to play vs. Colts
RobbRiddick replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it would come down to cost. I'm not sure what Watkins' contract numbers are for the Chiefs, but Foster is obviously incredibly affordable right now. Watkins is one of those guys with lots of potential, and every year you think this will be the one where he might show that potential to the full, but he hasn't done it yet. When you consider the underachieving, over pay, injuries and some of the bad attitude he had when he was in Buffalo I think I probably would just go with Foster at this point. There's something to be said for the way Foster has had to work so hard for what he's a achieved so far, especially the balls he showed after being cut and coming back. -

Interesting stats: Sammy in 10 games - 40 rec, 519 yards, 3 TDs, with a longest catch of 50 Foster in pretty much his last 7 games - 27 rec, 541 yards, 3 TDs, with a longest catch of 75 Also, in 15 games with LA last season, Sammy managed 39 rec for 593 yards and 8 TDs. -
I'd like to see them really go after the O-line in FA, then use the draft for WRs, a TE and a RB, with a defensive pick maybe at 9 since the draft appears to be heavier with defensive talent at the top. Maybe get a C and G in FA and grab the best tackle at 9 (if he's still there of course). I wonder how hard it will be to get FA WRs to come when they assume we're a run team with a QB who is always having his low percentage talked about. Whereas O-linemen you would think would love the idea of playing in Buffalo since it's cold weather and we want to be run heavy, so they know they'll have the chance to plough defences and be a bit more old school. Whatever happens I'm really excited for the offseason this year, more than I have been for... as long as I can remember actually.

I'm loving Allen and am more excited about the immediate future than I have been in a LONG time. However, if the Bills were guaranteed that by making that trade Mahomes would continue to play the way he has been (which is highly doubtful considering the lack of a supporting cast) then of course they'd make the trade. Allen is still in the 'potential' bracket, whereas Mahomes has proven he can do it consistently over a season. But (and I was thinking about this yesterday when reading the QB carousal thread), if the Bills for some inexplicable reason were to release Allen tomorrow, how many teams do you think would be fighting to snag him? I'd say a hell of a lot of teams, including the likes of Denver who passed on him in the same way we passed on Mahomes. I think Elway would trade both his testicles for the chance to get Allen on his team now. The moral of my post is, in hindsight we did pass on a very, very good QB, but after seeing every single Josh Allen play this season from preseason all the way to the Dolphins game, I'd say there's a damn good chance there will be plenty of teams who regret on either passing him over or not making a move for him themselves.

If The Bills Win The Super Bowl Who Do You Want To Beat?
RobbRiddick replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills are down to the cowboys by one or two points with 8 seconds left and win it on a 47 yard fg. At the parade in Buffalo they bring kelly, Reed, Thomas etc. onto the stage and let them hold the Lombardi trophy. Then Norwood walks up and gets a cheer from the crowd. It would make more sense for them to beat the Giants in this fashion but I don't actually hate them, whereas I still despise the Cowboys. -
As an avid porn watcher who tends to view classic Ron Jeremy films while posting here, I believe it will take me twice as long to reach that milestone since I am limited to one free hand. Hopefully the Bills have won a Super Bowl by that time (and God willing I'll still have enough eyesight left to witness it)

I'm giving you a thumbs up but I do wonder how many posters will know who Cliff Richard is!

Andy Isabella: Josh Allen's potential new toy
RobbRiddick replied to FeelingOnYouboty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just read "Josh Allen's potential new toy" and was convinced it was going to be an image of a flesh light in the shape of Kiko Alonzo -
I agree, it should be on a Saturday. And Superbowl Saturday would still alliterate. Failing that they should switch Saturday and Sunday around, so Sunday would be on the Saturday and Saturday would be on the Sunday, so Monday would become the Sunday and everyone would get the day off anyway. How about this as a solution: at the age of 16 you register which team you support. If that team wins the Superbowl you get the Monday off. It'd be a bit like how some companies let their employees have their birthdays off. I also propose that the government signs off on this as soon as Tom Brady retires.

Von Miller’s mom wants a trade, blames Elway
RobbRiddick replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only mom I'd trade for is AJ McCarron's -
One of the podcasts I used to listen to would always talk about The Hall of Very Good rather than the HOF, and there are a lot of players I think belong in there. As you say though, maybe when you see these guys as an adult it takes away some of the mystique.

Offensive Line: Who Stays Who Goes
RobbRiddick replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone like Mills I would keep for depth but no way would I keep him as a starter. -
I guess people like lots of points. Couple that with the new QBs that have entered the league and you've got a lot more interest overall. I'm excited about the new breed of QBs like Mahomes, Allen, Mayfield, Goff, Darnold etc. because I've grown tired of the old guard like Brady, Brees and Rodgers. The insane amount of points does annoy me, but I guess I'm just old. When I was first watching you probably had people who grew up in the 60s saying there was too much passing and points in the 80s. I totally get that times change, and I understand they have to protect players, but I wish they'd ease up on some of these penalties. A defensive struggle can be such an exciting thing to watch, especially come playoff time, but I guess most people now want to see offenses moving up and down the field with ease, especially when they're watching redzone and checking how their fantasy players are doing.

Josh Allen named AFC offensive player of the week
RobbRiddick replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can definitely see him on the cover of Madden in a few years -
Well, the season is done. We've discussed every aspect of Allen's play. We've argued about whether we should have passed on him and taken Rosen. So as the Bills head into the offseason, sit back, crack open a beer, and relive the rookie's best moments of 2018:

Great hit. Love it. I also still quite like Kiko. Loved him when he was a Bill. Yeah he's dirty, but he's old school and I like watching him play.
