  1. I wouldn't say "easy". Plenty of work will need to be done. But I'm sure plenty of people said Josh Allen couldn't learn to be accurate and I would say he has done well with the accuracy issue because of putting in the time and work. The reason I am not concerned is I do believe that Ariza will work and put in the time. Just like those videos show him working on hangtime and hitting 5.5 seconds hangtime on 50 yd punts. I get game days are different but still, there is promise. I mentioned McAfee because he brought up Ariza and his lack of holding and he kind of had the same situation coming out of West VA. But believes since Ariza is athletic that he will pick it up without issue.
  2. Pat McAfee mentioned in his podcast that when he was drafted by the colts. He lied and said he could hold but at West VA, he did the same as Ariza in terms of kicking and punting and never held. He said he had to learn it but if you are athletic enough it is rather easy to adjust and learn. I have little concern about the holding, he will work on it all off season to come in and be able to do it from a general standpoint. Then, working with Bass, they will work to get on the same page about tilt, direction, etc.
  3. The thing is, our draft was really only for depth and 1 need (well 2 if you count the punter) and we got both high quality players for the punter (if he can hold) and the CB as well. Both immediate players. All the rest is depth.. It feels so good to draft for depth and development instead of need all the way. Last years draft, with time, I have a feeling will turn out to be above average players or even great players. No longer are we needing players to come in and play immediately or expect them to be amazing out of the gate. We can give them time and trust our coaches and staff.
  4. Day 2 draft picks should only be starting if the team has needs. The bills do not have needs after the CB on Day 1 so Day 2 and on is all just for depth. No starters except a punter if they take one.
  5. its weird that the Jets are acting like their offensive and defensive line are good.... Only 1 draft pick for the trenches with such high picks. their OLine got Zach Wilson killed last year. Don't see it changing next year.
  6. Ah ok that makes more sense lol and agreed, singletary is a good back for subbing in for a primary back.
  7. How do you know this? You, and anyone else outside of Dallas, have zero idea if they would have taken Elam.
  8. He is fast, quick, and long. His biggest downfall was/is tackling, but hell so was Dion Sanders issue was tackling. We needed speed in the DB room, and we got it.
  9. Elam is the pick to try and counter Hill being on the dolphins and any other speed receiver because lets be frank, speed (especially hill) has killed this team in very important games.
  10. He did, a quick google shows the time. so you like him more now. https://www.nfl.com/videos/kaiir-elam-runs-40-yard-dash-at-2022-combine
  11. Unless Zach Wilson becomes a star, its all for nothing We all know it is a QB driven league.
  12. lol these are the times im glad i live on the west coast.
  13. They are "safe" picks though.. great picks yes!! but they are safe. All GM's are measured by who they draft for a QB or who they bring in for QB. Bean and McDermott took a high risk in drafting Allen and it is certainly paying off. Not every coach/GM is that... lucky I should say..
  14. Ha! I grew up in Englewood,FL and graduated from the local high school there (Lemon Bay). we were at those beaches all year around and boating in ski alley.
  15. And sometimes it’s as if we are visiting a mental asylum lol. Oh the Ebbs and flows of the bills message forum. good times
  16. If he agrees to leave to play for the panthers just for the "business side" then he only cares about money. And for him to say he loves people like a brother and convinces Miller to come here only to chase $$$$ then he basically talks out of his '@ss'
  17. I think this move forces the bills to draft a CB in the 1st round with a lot of speed/agility. Beane himself said the first goal is to win the division. And now with miami having significant speed, we need to match that on defense. just an opinion but wouldnt be surprised.
  18. haha so someone else decided to use the whole Cali thing against you. Talk about Statesism or how ever you want to call it. Same thing happened to me and I got suspended from the board for telling the guy off. You definitely kept it cooler than I would.
  19. Just curious of when he didn't own up to making a mistake? He has always stated it starts with him and he has to do better.
  20. THAT is how you know the NFL slightly alters games.....
  21. My take. right or wrong. Rooney rule was put in place so minorities could have a chance to at least interview. Because that was the agreement about 20 years ago. I do think the initial reasoning was on good intentions but over time, not so much. Now did/do the Owners and GM's go in a head coaching search completely blind and have no idea before hand who they would want. Hell no. They already have a list of coaches, white/black/mixed that they want to interview. Then they have to go through the motions to interview minorities to fulfill the rule if their original list did not have a minority. The Rooney Rule, in my opinion, is almost degrading at this point to both parties. Teams are just going through the motion as I mentioned and as Flores mentioned. Maybe conduct interviews randomly through a third party that sets time/days and the interviewee is blacked out or an avatar placed over them in video chat and voice is distorted for the initial screening. And then based on that interview, the ones selected get to meet face to face. I know it sounds crazy but it might be the only real chance that race or age isn't a factor. Imagine if this was every job out there. Companies would do what the NFL is doing and just having it as a check box.
