I understand Empire is on life support but as I read the programing schedule for them I see that there is no pre game or post game show for the Bills. I am hopeful that this is an error, but my gut and the fact that Howard Simon is doing the post game on radio, tells me that my gut is most likely correct. It does seem somewhat odd that they could not sell (advertising) for such programs. It saddens me to say that I'm paying for the DirecTV regional sports package only for Howard Simon's show. Go Bills!

But it does seem kinda strange that if the game had to be moved due to possible hazardous weather, the NCAA would certainly understand that, then why oh why would their be an issue about fufilling the contract DTV (read the NFL) has with it's viewers........oh I forgot we are talking about the NCAA.

How is this a benefit? All schools can recruit smart top athletes, ND can recruite smart top athletes ONLY!

When your athletes are expected to be on the same level in academics as the military academys it is going to continue to be long seasons in South Bend. ND is no longer the school that all the best athletes want to go to. The best HS football players in the country are looking at what school is going to give "me" the best shot to make the pros, so the athlete that would have said I want ND in the past, now says I want X, Y, Z school (you fill in the blanks) the talent pool is much smaller for the ND coaches, when the pool was the largest in the country and they had their pick of the liiter, the higher academic standards at ND never came into play, now they do.

I just forwarded Jerry an on-line job application for the Miami Herald.

...well acting very strange. First a little background, he is going to be twelve years old has always been very healthy and very active. He has never caused us a minute of trouble. So here is thing, the last three nights we have come home to find that he has been eating crayons. After the second time we (thought) we hid the crayons but he found two and ate them, paper wrapper left for us to pick up. He does not appear to be suffering any ill effects from his new diet, but I was just wondering if anyone has heard of such a thing, should we be concerned? Obviously we will take him to the vet if we see a change in his physical health.

Well maybe not eight months.....but I do understand. After this last go around in Richmond on Monday i was ready to pack for the great white north, snow shovel and all. Stay safe.

I'm starting to feel those good vibes, on this board.......What a feeling! Just few weeks ago this post would have been flamed regarding the line, especially Teague and Williams.

with Jennings and L. Smith on the left side, Teague at Center, Villarial and M Williams on the right side, and Tucker as a very good utility man, the longer they work as a unit the the greater comfort I'm having with them. Looking at each player: Jennings is very solid, L Smith has been the suprise of camp, Teague has had a better pre-season than anyone on this board ever thought, Villarial brings the leadership by example that was lacking the past few seasons (yes he is better than All-Pro Ruben Brown), and Mike Williams, in spite of his weight and emotional issues has started to come around as evidenced in his solid performance against the Colts. Now with all that said, I'd like to see us score some points with the first O. However it is very unlikly that we will see much of the first unit this Thursday against the Lions.........I guess we'll see what we have on Spetember 12th.
