Just got off the phone with my wife, she is at a conference in Tampa. We both agreed that when she returns we are calling the attorney and getting a "Living Will" done. I told her this, that even though I know she would not want to "live" like this poor girl, if we didn't take the time to get this in writing and make it "all legal like" I would have a very hard time going against her parents if their wishes were to keep her on a feeding tube. I also got to thinking about our kids and what their wishes might be? There is a lot of selfishness here with all the parties, including congress! MOVE THIS TO THE PPP

I just had some work done on my house that required a master carpenter, I'm not sure if this guy is a master carpenter or if your work requires a master carpenter, but here is what I am thinking; I paid (after shoping for bids) $68.00 per hour plus materials at cost, which was also very good considering the receipt copys enclosed in the bill where 90% from wholesale outlets, and much cheaper than prices I had earlier shopped at Lowes. So if the pricing in your market is similar ($65 -$70 per hour) The question you need to ask is: "Can this work be done 12 - 14 man hours?" Assuming he is insured, has a good reputation, member BBB, set a deadline for work to be completed and when it's done pay him and then sell him the projector for the $900.00 Bottom line is, what is the going rate per man hour?

R. Rich - Wegmans in Fairfax has ALL of those things and more! It is easily the biggest Wegmans to date.....I even went home with 30 pack of Genny Cream Ale. Bought Zwiegles, too! The best route for a day on the Mall that we have found to take visiting family is starting at Union Station, walk to Supreme Court, Library of Congress, US Capitol. Then make youre way down the mall (center) and choose museums of your liking/s; Air and Space, History, Art, Natural History, you can't do them all, walk by the Washington Mt., you are now on top of the WWII Memorial, (DETOUR to the White House if you like) then make your way to Veitnam memorial and then Lincoln Memorial and then finish at Korean memorial. At this time you'll want a cab to take yourself off the mall.

This argument goes in complete cirlcles and those of us on both sides know it. I for one am against it, many of you are for it. Primarily I am against it because I do not think it is our job to do. Secondly we have NEVER proven that we can apply this sentence fairly. I often think back to when I first moved to Virginia and three women (two white, one balck) violently killed another of their roomates. All the evidence pointed to all three playing an equal role in this horrible murder. All three where tried seperately, the two white women got life, the black woman got the death penalty. The judge in the black womans case change the sentence to life. One might argue that the system worked, but these sentences are based on emotion and just is not, well, just.

It is proposed each year...kinda like increasing taxes on cigs......it always falls short. They have eliminated tax on Rx and the Car tax is now nearly all but gone.

I've done quite a bit of research on this, as you can imagine, and yes the taxes in WNY are saddly very high but 200,000 in Western Henrico County VA will buy you a nice house but that same 200,000 will buy you somthing very special in WNY. Sales taxes are another issue yes, but in Virginia we still pay that 4.5% on groceries, not so in NY. Yes, I know that it may wash out in the end, but in the end I most likley will be in a much nicer/bigger home in an area with a feeling of community. We love Richmond, but to live in a nice "small" village in upstate NY is verrry attracvtive.

Thank you Alaska....I pray every night that my wife gets the job at the University of Buffalo and then I pray that the Bills will still be in Buffalo once we move to western NY. The cost of living there vs. Richmond VA is sooooo much less I salivate at the propertyy potential for us to buy after selling our home in Richmond. I guess I would then be praying that we stay in Buffalo a looong time 'cause their won't be anyone to sell that house to!

For all the economic talk, please remember this IS about the SOUL of a community. I've said this before, but to lose the Bills would tear us up to lose the Bills due to some politicians shortsightedness would be....well lets just say the only scout team needed would be the one one looking for the tallest trees.
