  1. Plenz....I PM'd you.
  2. With the number of "Richmonders" we have on teh site we ought to rent a hall, and a have a clam bake with all the fixens and watch the Bills on multiple sets......Hmmm let me think about this, we might be able to swing something like this.
  3. Expected heat index 115 today, and the power went out during last nights storm....Is it still out? I'll find out when I go home.....oouch!
  4. Anyone have a link (other) for camp schedules, activities, parade info, etc?
  5. Take them to Mecca.....The Ralph, early morning when the dew still rests on the grass, the birds are singing and the sun is just creeping above the horizon, stand still and listen, listen for the sounds of the past, a Rich history, a tradition of winning.....stay as long as you want, you might even find a gate open, go on in (no one will arrest a guy with his two kids) then take them out for a nice breakfast. Great food in Buffalo!
  6. SITTING BEHIND A COUPLE OF NUNS AT A BASEBALL GAME (WHOSE HABITS PARTIALLY BLOCKED THE VIEW), THREE MEN DECIDED TO BADGER THE NUNS IN AN EFFORT TO GET THEM TO MOVE. IN A VERY LOUD VOICE, THE FIRST GUY SAID, "I THINK I'M GOING TO MOVE TO UTAH, THERE ARE ONLY 100 NUNS LIVING THERE." THE SECOND GUY SPOKE UP AND SAID, "I WANT TO GO TO MONTANA, THERE ARE ONLY 5O NUNS LIVING THERE." THE THIRD GUY SAID, "I WANT TO GO TO IDAHO, THERE ARE ONLY 25 NUNS LIVING THERE." ONE OF THE NUNS TURNED AROUND, LOOKED AT THE MEN, AND IN A VERY SWEET, CALM, VOICE SAID, "WHY DON'T YOU GO TO HELL ... THERE AREN'T ANY NUNS THERE."
  7. You remain in my daily prayers.....good thoughts and prayers.
  8. Just curious who I might bump into. Anyone with general information as to how camp is run, what to do, links, etc. I'm coming up with our two daughters for the weekend, the wife gets a free weekend. I have tickets for th Saturday night practice. This will be my first camp since 1981 at Fredonia, before my senior year in High School.
  9. Suburban Richmond, VA Or of course that cool weather spot.... Alabama is nice
  10. I'm looking forward to actually meeting some of you this coming Sat. (I think?)
  11. OK I'll go along with that....Did I miss something? I understand that we have one of the better chances of getting the first choice and their has been talk that the NHL will secretly pulll the Rangers, Philly, Toronto, Detroit etc.........But come on the Smoking Man is dead isn't he????? opps wrong sport.
  12. Huh...translation please?
  13. Don Banks must think we'll be alright with Willis, JP, the "D" and Roscoe From CNN/SI 3. Who's the most exciting running back in the division? New York's Curtis Martin had a career year last season and led the NFL in rushing at age 31. New England's Corey Dillon proved to be the perfect teammate, won a ring and finished third among league ground gainers. But neither one generated the buzz Buffalo's Willis McGahee did in his first taste of NFL action. Despite starting just 11 games after bumping Travis Henry to the bench, McGahee rolled to 1,128 yards and 13 touchdowns, with seven 100-yard games, including six in his first eight starts. Henry, a pretty good back himself, was traded to the Titans. 'Nuff said. 5. Is second-year QB J.P. Losman ready to lead Buffalo's offense? It takes nerve to hand over the starting job to a guy who has thrown five regular-season passes, but the Bills correctly reasoned that they can't take the next step into the playoffs until they improve at quarterback. And Drew Bledsoe's skills are heading in the wrong direction at this point in his career. In Losman, the Bills believe they have a player who has the right combination of moxie, mobility and play-making ability, even though they realize errors of both inexperience and exuberance will occur. If nothing else, Losman should be fun to watch. 9. Is Buffalo's defense the best-kept secret in the NFL the past two years? The Bills fell one win shy in 2004 of getting to showcase their better-than-you-think defense in the playoffs, but coordinator Jerry Gray's guys are good. Buffalo finished second overall in league defense (264.3 yards per game), and was third against the pass (164.0) and seventh against the rush (100.3) in 2004. The Bills held 11 of their 16 opponents to 17 points or fewer, and only Buffalo's early-season offensive problems kept it out of the playoffs. Led by Takeo Spikes, Aaron Schobel and Nate Clements, the Bills' D is for real. 10. Who will be the division's impact rookies? In Miami, where the memory of last season's 31st-ranked running game remains painful, the Dolphins are expecting early impact from Brown. But the same could be said in New York, which made the bold move of selecting Ohio State kicker Mike Nugent in the second round. After all, it was a pair of Doug Brien misses that kept the Jets out of the AFC title game. In Buffalo, speedy second-round receiver Roscoe Parrish wowed them in minicamp, and though tiny (5-foot-9, 168 pounds, maybe), he's going to have a big role from Day 1.
  14. Goood thoughts and prayers
  15. I've copied and forwarded him this thread........
  16. Umm....SCABS But as my uncle has told me (he is a union mechanic for NWA at Seatle) yes some, maybe many, flights will be canceled but "managers" will be providing the items you mentioned and they will bring in "others" to service lugage, cleaning and the other things that mechanics do for the airline. The union needs the support of the other unions, which could include refusing to cross the picket line, slow downs, or sick outs by pilots and crews to fully ground the airline.
  17. There should not be a "major" problem if the mechs go on strike, although I would not check my lugage if they do. That said Northwest will have a major problem if the pilots refuse to cross the picket line. I would be looking for information (media) regarding the support or lack there of by the pilots union and/or the flight attendants union. Recognizing that NWA is king in your town, you might consider another airline, however the United flight attendants are threatening to walk soon too.
  18. Damn I thought this was a package deal.....admission and transportation
  19. I guess I'm going to training camp. Purchasing tickets for $1.75 was to hard to pass up.
  20. Will you be going to New Orleans by any chance????
  21. From what I was told yesterday, you are right! That said my 6 hour and 50 flight from Chicago to Richmond was in fact an On Time Departure. Well done United Another interesting tidbit the flight crew is paid their contract rate only when the wheels are up, otherwise they are paid (at United) $1.25 per hour. So yesterday the crew (not pilots) made a whopping $6.87 for the time we sat on the tarmac. They earned every cent!
  22. That's it....I've had it!!!!!!
  23. OMG I spelled something wrong....now thats something new here!!! Let me try again: When preparation meets opportunity = LUCK How did I do?
  24. I'll go with Lucky..... When preperation meets opportunity = Luck Well done TD!
