Josh in that QB room podcast basically said for his commercials he's there for a couple hours and then he's done, so I'm really not sure how much of a distraction they could be for him.
Felt like inherited coach speak from McDermott where you never get too high on a rookie, because at some point they're going to have a rookie moment, and you don't need to put too high of expectations on them.
Internal trash talker makes me think he doesn't trash talk someone but you can just see in his eyes that he's just thinking the most terrible things about you.
Was really a "We know you're going to claim this guy anyway when we cut him, what will you give us so you don't have to worry about someone else claiming him ahead of you." kind of deal.
How would we have done that if we'd cut him to put him on the practice squad they'd have claimed him off of waivers. The only way this is a favor is that they didn't have to worry about someone ahead of them making a claim but they still had to give us a pick.
