I think our playoff run depends more on our defense in the playoffs. As they say, offense wins games, defense wins championships. I'm encouraged the way our defense has played this past month.

At the start of the season, I would have considered this at least a triple, perhaps even a homerun. Then I wanted a win in the playoffs and we don't have that yet, thus a triple. But the team have exceeded everything else, up to this point, exceeding any expectations I could have had. The way they're playing, the MVPs and Pro Bowl selections, the franchise records, etc. Hard to say it hasn't been a homerun at this point. That said, we still don't have that playoff win. Hopefully that comes Saturday. And then of course, the goalposts are "a-moving" right? It's going to be a let down when this season comes to an end, unless of course, ..............

I think the Colts will be most like Pittsburg because the QBs aren't very mobile. With Miami and Denver, and even the Titans, their QBs could run when they needed to (and did). Bills knew Big Ben wasn't going to take off and didn't have to defend that. I think we've got the same thing with Rivers. We defend the run from the RBs and River's short passes, I think we'll be OK. He can try to go deep but that is when his accuracy decreases.

While I love Davis, he's benefitting from the attention the other WRs are getting. Davis still struggles running the routes and creating separation. He doesn't always know where to go when Josh scrambles, looking lost at times. He doesn't sell PI well at all. I see it multiple times each game. Billls can plug and play Stills into this offense. It will be interesting to see how his signing impacts the other WRs. McD has got to manage this.

Not sure if this belongs here or in the Beasley thread, but what is the latest on Cole? I'm guessing he won't be ready for this Saturday. Hoping for the following weekend???

I don't like relying on "another team" to get me what I want. If I don't have the 2 seed, and I want the 2 seed, I do what I have control of to get the 2 seed. If we played after the Browns Steelers game, and knew we had the 2 seed wrapped up, I can see playing it safe. If we rest our starters, we don't care about the 2 seed. This is the way I see it. I guess the follow up question to this opinion is, do you think our starters stay in if we and/or the Browns do not get a big enough lead?

So might be the Titans, Browns, Dolphins as well as the Colts on any given Sunday. Injuries, the Nova, weather conditions, etc are also factors. I think we need to respect every team we face in the playoffs. Each can beat us. While I do understand your point, I'm willing to accept any and all challenges as I think we will be the better team in any game.

Miami is in draft heaven this coming draft. There's the good chance they don't see a draft like this one for another decade or so. I think Tua could have convinced the owners & mgmt to not draft a QB this year. I don't think Tua's convinced them. Tua or another first round QB this time, would carry some trade value for Miami. That said, Miami will have to choose the right one.

I don't think there is one case, high school, college or NFL traced to being transferred in a game. If you're asking for an absolute here, I don't think that exists.
