  1. You have 91 spots that need to get down to 53 (+ Practice Squad) You have 38 guys who won't make the roster. Do you allocate spots to 38 guys who have college and pro tape that you know likely won't make it? Or do you allocate 37 spots to guys who have college and pro tape that you know likely won't make it and then 1 to a World Class athlete that is a complete wild card? It's extremely low risk and with way more upside than any of the fringe NFL level players with a lifetime of experience. The lack of experience is the selling point here.
  2. https://youtu.be/WuGO6Krnkdg?si=CRP_JH8lgWCfP98b 6'1" 275....
  3. I cringe every time I read something as unaware and ridiculous as this. You don't think there is learning required to play CB in the NFL? There is a reason they get paid millions of dollars to do the job. It's really hard, when something is really hard, it requires learning. Nobody is disputing that the team won't move on if he doesn't improve, but I'm not sure why you're "cringing" at the prospect of learning from failure when science backs up it is a prerequisite for success.
  4. Yeah, that’s not how that works in most draft rooms either. In a healthy organization the coach is involved.
  5. Alright, go ahead and make the argument that Rodemaker, Travis and Thorne are objectively better than Richardson and Ewers...
  6. They’re objectively better players than Thorne, Travis and Rodemaker.
  7. Quentin Johnston and Jonathan Mingo also played on two absolute dumpster fire teams, with dumpster fire offenses and QBs that have shown zero capability of elevating the players around them.
  8. One thing that remains funny to me is how often people on this board paint McDermott as a control freak, while simultaneously giving him no credit for having a massive say in the selection and development plan of our "Parody of a QB Prospect" Joshua Patrick Allen.
  9. Payton Thorne Jordan Travis (2024 5th Round Pick) Tate Rodemaker vs. CJ Stroud (2023 1st Round, 2nd Pick) Anthony Richardson (2023 1st, 4th Pick) Jayden Daniels (2024 1st Round, 2nd Pick) Michael Penix Jr. (2024 1st Round, 8th Pick) Quinn Ewers (Projected 2025 1st Round Pick) 🤷‍♂️
  10. I don't see a problem with signing a guy who can play 75% of Gabe Davis' role for 1/8 of the cost.
  11. Let's also ignore that he handpicked QBs twice and botched it. He's lucky he's been able to get something out of Purdy. Not many coaches get the chance to take 2 shots at finding their guy... You're mixing up your years, dude. 2017 was the Jaguars playoff game. The one where they held the Jaguars to 230 total yards and then the Jags went on to post almost 400 yards against Pittsburgh the next week and 300 against the Pats in the AFCCG before Bortles choked it away. LOL
  12. Long snapper or shotgun snapper? I haven’t seen anything about him being a long snapper…
  13. If we’re just talking about that year, yeah it’s close. Otherwise Newton really wasn’t the good in comparison to Josh. Josh is consistently putting up Newton’s MVP numbers… Cam never came close to that type of production before or after 2015. I feel Cam was and is pretty overrated.
  14. It’s funny because Cam’s MVP season is pretty much what Josh has put up on average the past 4 years. People just get all hot and bothered by those 3 little letters. Same thing with Tyrod’s MVP season this year.
  15. This is true, unfortunately many here don’t want to understand the reality of how this all works. They have their own idea and stick with it. I equate arguments on this board to arguing with a 5 year old - you’ll never win. Why? Because 5 year olds don’t use logic when they argue.
