  1. I agree, when Freddie comes back I expect to see them both on the field at the same time, with one of them (most often Spiller) in the slot. Articles like those are like catnip for me.
  2. That would have to be an extremely satisfying moment for Buddy.
  3. Thanks for researching. You know, the masses have already determined that Fitz is terrible so I'm not sure your analysis is going to change any minds. People seem to forget the good plays and focus on the bad, especially when we lose.
  4. I missed the mission statement part.
  5. Cool. They are also #1 in rushing yards per game.
  6. Fitz had some bad thows but he had good ones too. How about the TD to Chandler - that wasn't bad was it? I think they credited us with 6 points for that. I think Wanny DID send extra rushers on occasion. Check the stats and I think you'll see Sheppard got a sack.
  7. You are exactly right about the sheriffs. I pulled out of Hammers onto Abbott headed south and it was obviously bumper to bumber. Suddenly, people ahead of me drove into the northbound lanes and it freed up traffic so I followed them. At one point when I was stopped, a sheriff knocked on my window and yelled at me to "get over to the right, you and "all the other idiots" who pulled into the wrong lanes". I was thinking, sure thing, but why weren't you out directing traffic BEFORE the traffic got crazy. Then this never would have happened and you wouldn't have to go car to car calling people idiots, idiot.
  8. Exactly. How hypocritical is that?
  9. Great to see the Pats* lose on a last second play AT HOME.
  10. I was thrilled when we picked him, and even happier now. To date it looks like we have our franchise LT.
  11. Well played.
  12. What prize goes to the winner? (No need to answer, it was a rhetorical question.)
  13. Getting on the plane now! Section 131, row 37. 4th opener in a row for Billnut Jr. and I.
  14. The Bills haven't released the study they paid for, so all we know about the improvements is the price tag. Interestingly, the County seems to be parroting the same pricetag the Bills are - $200 - $220 million. Obviously, the County hasn't objected to the scope of work outlined in the study, which tells me the upgrades are relatively modest and justified.
  15. My question is, why could this not be corrected during the game? If you instruct a player in a certain way and he studiously ignores you or fails to carry out your instruction, put in the backup for a series and send a message that they better "buy in" and do it NOW.
  16. As I recall, it's the Bills and not the County who funded the engineering study that determined the needed stadium upgrades. Why would a cheap owner who has no intent on the Bills staying do this? What advantage does Ralph get out of this if he isn't dealing in good faith? Could it be that we can just take the Bills at their word that they are working to keep the team viable in WNY?
  17. 44, born in South Buffalo and raised in Clarence. Grew up with season tickets behind Bills bench in the late 80s-90s, but left WNY for career. Continue to live and die with the Bills on Sundays, and have imprinted my son with Bills fandom (for better or for worse). This will be the 4th year running we've made a few games each year. Flying in for the home opener is now a family tradition.
  18. Wow, 73 degrees - that's lower than the overnight lows here in Houston. Looking forward to the cool fall air and footballs flying at the tailgates. Billnut and I are flying out Saturday morning, can't wait!
  19. The forgettable Tony Hunter, TE from Notre Dame. I'm not exactly an old timer but that was around the time that my rabid fandom began.
  20. I agree to a point. But I got a Dareus jersey for signing a 3-year club seat deal so I may wear it Sunday as a show of support for him. Either that one or my new Fitz jersey.
  21. I'm wearing my new Fitz jersey to Sunday's game, but it's only because my Dareus jersey is too big. I want to believe but they don't make it easy.
  22. Do you remember where you read that?
  23. Contrast Cromartie's comments with what Mario said after the game. To paraphrase, Mario said "they passed out of formations we expected them to run in, and ran out of formations we expected a pass from." Bottom line, Jets coaches prepared their squad by changing past tendencies in their offense, and the Bills coaches stayed on cruise control from last year and handed the advantage to the Jets.
  24. Where does this stuff come from? Do you have a link for any of this?
  25. Interesting thread. When you see that the Bills end week 1 (of course with 2 games to go tonight) as the #1 rushing team in the NFL it kind of reminds you how statistics are truly for losers. That being said, I believe Potter DID have a kickof returned in the first half, separate from the onsides kick.
