It appears there were three camps:
1. Make him play his last year under contract. Let him walk. Plug in a new RB as they are easily and cheaply obtained.
2. $15M/year is way too much. If they come up with a reasonable deal, let’s do it. Cook is a difference maker.
3. Pay the man. Give him the $15M and make him happy, he’s worth it.
I believe a very large percentage of Bills fans fall into camp #2. That’s where I fall and I’m happy with the deal they signed him to.
It’s all the people in Camp #1 grumbling at the moment.
