  1. Ike was mixed in in the 2nd quarter and had a solid block on a Murphy run. I like IKE!
  2. Can we give Proehl his due tonight? I wanted to see who would step up tonight at WR and TE. It was clearly O'leary, Proehl and Streater.
  3. 100% agree. Teller and Groy and Allen should be on the 1s next week.
  4. Not to mention Clay is the first TE in Bills history with more than 500+ Yds receiving 3 years in a row. Pretty good considering his last QB couldn't hit passes over the middle. I like having a veteran TE to help a young QB. Clay is no Kelce or Gronk, but he is a solid Tier 2A or 2B TE.
  5. Did you notice the Bills seemed to focus on shorter passes with Allen today? No deep shots. And Allen looked solid in that aspect.
  6. Disagree with you 100% They want to see what Lee, Thomas and Croom have. Nick O'leary is not great, but makes a lot of big plays for a depth guy.
  7. I'm thinking 4 TEs too. Clay, O'Leary, Lee and Thomas. Clay has avg 50 Rec and 500 yds since coming to Buffalo. Solid. O'leary just makes plays when needed. Lee and Allen have a connection early Thomas is blocking well Croom looks as the outside TE looking in
  8. The assumptions of O'Leary's early demise were premature. All this guy does is make big plays for Buffalo. Clay (what has he done in pre-season?) O'Leary and it looks like Lee aren't world beaters, but are solid. Logan Thomas has been a terrific blocker. Maybe they go 4 TE. I feel bad for Croom. Is Croom eligible for the PS? I'd like to see what Clay and O'Leary can do with Allen. Lee and Allen are developing mojo already.
  9. Let's chill a bit on the OP. I don't think he was saying Edmunds stinks. His first game was bad, and the first drive was bad. Then some kind of light switch went on. He looked terrific after. I can't find it again, but I watched a video about Edmunds being a hit or miss draft pick. We all know the positives. The negatives were that he can be misdirected, often gets caught up in garbage at the line etc. This is what I saw in game one and the first drive. Wrong side of the field, chases receivers in motion etc, poor at scraping along the line. The same video showed that Edmunds very rarely made the same mistake twice, even in game. Fool him once good on you, rarely fooled twice a game or as a season goes on. He is so young. I think the game is a bit fast for him right now. He is being asked to come in as a rookie, learn Farzier's Defense, make the calls, and then make plays. That is a lot to diagnose and perform in year one. I think Edmunds may have a few bad games early on, but as the year goes on we will see a player mature and develop. The game seemed to slow down for him the second drive on. The OP was right to worry. He didn't look good in game one, and looked bad in the first series. Was out of the play, got caught up in garbage etc. His known weaknesses. But we saw his sideline to sideline ability in the rest of the first quarter. Everyone needed to see that. Maybe they should have Lorax call the plays and just let Edmunds play in his first year. He can be a beast just reading and reacting. Let him just play football in yr one. In yr two make him call the plays.
  10. Agreed as much as I want Allen to be 'the guy' I want these QBs to all do well, ok maybe not Darnold (because he is a Jet, not because he is Darnold)
  11. I thought Wallace and Johnson looked much better tonight.
  12. Against third string... but I like Mayfield. I think he has moxy too.
  13. Reminds me of Alex Van Pelt. Good football IQ, could get it done in college, but not an NFL arm. Keep him as a 3rd QB and have him help Allen and AJM in the QB room.
  14. initial prognosis is a strain or pull, no tear.
  15. One of things I was looking at. How did the backup CBs look? Looked better with Johnson ans Wallace.
  16. Steven Hauschka was 7 of 9 on kicks over 50 yards last year??? 7 of 9. Let that sink in. With Allen's arm and Hauschka's leg this team can score at any time they approach the 50.
  17. Allen is freaking dealing it tonight.... let him roll.
  18. I'll take a twist, sprain or strain all day. I love KW but he should be situational now, and let Horrible Harry in there.
  19. Young DL standing up. Fede, Phillips and Yarbourough all have had some good moments.
