    I disagree there were a ton of quality safeties available in FA and for a little more we could have brought in an actual starter That is Mike Edwards the Gaurd. The safety signed a 1 year $2.8M deal.

    I'd be shocked if Cooper didn't play. We only have 5 WRs on the roster. What's the point in bringing up Shavers and having him play 5 snaps? Cooper can do that this week if he's not ready.

    Zero $ savings so the release is interesting. Could have kept him as a #6 for free, he could have also asked to be released. Whatever either way. $5M in cap space between him and Edwards lit on fire.

    Not sure why people think that teams in playoff contention would trade the only good WR they have (Pickens, Sutton)?

    Money wise Cooper is basically free, and I doubt he goes for more than a 5th. Almost zero risk and hardly a gamble. If he's trouble you just cut him.
