I would go down the Forrest Lamp road again. he is an interesting player with Athletic upside. Still young. He was in camp with us and pretty much hurt the entire time. But I have always been intrigued by the guy and he would come on at a minimum deal. If Bates goes, I would not hate a stopgap like a Trai Turner, who is only 28. I also like the upside of Will Hernandez. Swing tackle? I think they like Doyle. The best guy on the market is probably Germaine Ifedi. Good athlete, but has been pretty meh so far. A cheaper swing guy with experience is Josh Wells, former JAG and Buccaneer. But he has played quite a bit in spot duty. Corner wise I want Bradberry. Not sure if it's possible. I also like Kyle Fuller. But I would rather draft a young corner in the first. I still really like Kevin King. I have a thing for Washington Husky corners.

2022 Free Agency - Around the NFL Thread
MrEpsYtown replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Hollister situation last year was weird to me. I thought he looked good and then he was cut and we played the entire season with pretty much no #2 tight end. Plus he had that connection with Josh. Good luck to him. -
The first round pick almost has to be a corner. McDuffie is the guy to me. But that probably requires a mini trade up. I think the value at LB is there in the 2nd. Maybe PSU's Smith or Andersen, Leo Chenal. Then I think you go IOL. Do not draft a guard in the first round. Please! Don't do it. Don't draft a receiver either. Drafting a corner right now is the move. White is under contract for 4 more years, during which time you could have a cheap 1st round corner playing on that rookie contract. When that 5th year option comes up, White will be a free agent. Hopefully things worked out with your new corner and that point you don't necessarily have to extend both. You extend the younger guy and rinse and repeat.

Not a Crowder guy, but he is a good player and this deal is a steal

If the Falcons are really going it full on re-build I am calling them on Chris Lindstrom yesterday. Speak it into existence! -
I like it. he will have a role on offense here. Still doesn't have that break away speed, but I guess he is a cheaper McKissic.

I agree. So I don't think that Kenyon Green is going to wind up being in the conversation, but maybe. -

This is a useful chart to see RAS numbers on the guard prospects this year. Strange is the high RAS small school guy this year. -
Gotta love that late nineties goatee

At least he turned into a draft pick!

Bills trade 7th rnd pick for backup Case Keenum
MrEpsYtown replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Marquez Stevenson giving it up? Keenum also wore 7 in college. Barkley I believe wore 7 in college but 5 in HS. -
Cheap cheap interior backup.

Really bad lisfranc injury in the preseason. He may not be 100% for awhile

My bad! I agree!

A poor man's Patterson (Laviska Shenault Jr.)

He looked like one of those guys who wears a T shirt in the pool. -
I never wanna be the guy who makes guarantees, but there is no way they keep two punters so one can hold. If Bojo can’t figure it out he will be out of the league. Drew Kaser had a huge leg for the Chargers but he could not hold and he is now out of the league at age 29. I believe we have seen the last of Bojo professional football player. He may hang around the back end of some rosters when someone gets hurt, but he won’t be the guy for anyone imo.

Yeah this I would love. Makes a ton of sense for him and for us.

I have my eye on Carolina. All accounts seem that they are changing over to a more power oriented run attack. They added Bradley Bozeman, a very unathletic road grader. Rumors say they are in on Duane Brown to play LT. The also signed Austin Corbett, who is big but athletic. They also have Deonte Brown, Michael Jordan, and Pat Elflein. Their third round pick last year Brady Christensen got jerked around quite a bit last year and seems like he may not have a spot. I wonder if they would do something like Cody Ford and a pick for Christensen? He’s older, already 25, BYU guy. I would prefer to keep Bates, but Christensen scored a high RAS last year, is cheap, and might fit nicely at RG if we miss out on Bates.

I am taking a flyer on Dante Pettis. He was just a ridiculous return guy in college and ran 4.32. He is a weird dude, and I think he may have had some trouble feeling things out in the NFL. Buffalo is the place ere you can come and be yourself as Shaq and J.Phillips can attest to. He had a nice rookie year then fell off a cliff and had some injuries, but at a league minimum type deal, there could still be upside there. That’s my guy I’m taking a shot on. -
I hated the idea. But it was a unique situation in that Etienne is really a really good receiver playing running back. So he gives you that unique chess piece that can make this offense that much more dangerous.

I think he is a good player, not sure he moves the needle, but he offers some cool upside. -

If Robert Woods is getting a 6th, I’d offer them a 7th. -
Its going to be awhile. He is supposedly visiting the Bears this week.
