  1. I still think a Reilly Reiff type could be had cheap. Can play LT, RT and guard. And I think he would be a positive presence as a vet and chase a ring. Depth is a need, but there is a lot of depth in the draft and there are still a bunch of cheap vets out there
  2. @GunnerBill the more I watch Booth the more I fall in love
  3. At this point I would do the Bradberry trade. It feels like we are going to get locked out of the good corners and I think the move would be a salary dump for the Giants anyway.
  4. This was great. Thanks @Virgil
  5. Man I really thought you were gonna take the punter here 😉
  6. Oh yeah there is definitely much too much space in my brain being spent on draft stuff. There is some truth to that for sure. Totally get it. And I know what you meant there. I am interested to see how this draft might go in the middle rounds. Seems like it could go in a million different directions
  7. I appreciate the take for sure. I just don't love this draft very much. Feels very meh to me, and as we go through the mock draft it feels even more meh. I do think that will add cheap veteran depth at those positions.
  8. No offense taken. People have opinions. To me, with the choices available, it makes sense. I get what you are saying, but there is nothing that I am seeing that is telling me Walker is any better than Doyle. What does Metchie really bring to the table that is that much more interesting than the depth guys in house to justify using a third? With our offense, and defense, a punter who can flip the field, honestly, could make the team impossible to stop. Teams already have to play catchup with the Bills offense, if they have to go a longer way it makes the team that much more dangerous. Let's see what happens, but I think Araiza is going in the third.
  9. I would say third after James and Bates. The thing with Poyer is that i think he is scheme dependent. If he goes somewhere else, I don't think he will be as good.
  10. They also had Lewis Cine and Nick Cross in for a visit
  11. But they are both under contract for just one year, so TE is a sneaky need
  12. I agree. But neither Walker or Metchie would be close to starting for this team. I am saying, based on the strength of this draft and the options that are on the board right now, I would really consider the punter. Call me crazy.
  13. So I understand what Walker brings to the table and what he provides. What does Metchie really bring? As we matriculate through this draft, you can kind of see why someone is going to take Ariaza in the 3rd. Especially all of these teams with multiple picks and all these comp picks at the end of the round. I voted Walker, but I’d rather have the best punter in the league than John Metchie
  14. off the top of my head: maybe LB Brian Asamoah LB Damone Clark S Nick Cross CB Cordale Flott
  15. Epenesa took a lot of time to really get going at Iowa, so I am hoping he burst on to the scene a bit this year. He might just be a guy who needs time to adjust.
  16. Also, there are guys on that list who are contributors for other teams as well. Wyatt Teller is an all pro guard Tanner Vallejo turned into an excellent special teams guy Ray Ray is a starting return man in the league Phillips got big money from the Vikings Daryll Johnson was traded for a pick Peterman has hung around the league somehow Fromm, Wildgoose, and Jack Anderson were plucked off our practice squad and put on main rosters Not to mention UDFAs like Levi Wallace who became a starter and turned it into money. Or Ryan Bates who came in a preseason trade and as just extended. They likely wanted him as an UDFA for them to make that move. They have done an exceptional job.
  17. Browser history joke was just so underrated and subtle. I loved it.
  18. Oh that's a good one. I thought about him for the Eagles.
  19. With the 83rd pick in the 2022 NFL Draft the Philadelphia Eagles select Brandon Smith, LB, Penn State. This is certainly a need and Smith is the kind of huge upside player the Eagles have not had in a long time. Smith oozes athletic potential and he is long. Some measurements for, uh, good measure: On top of all that he is typically all over the field. He has some rawness to his game, but I think he is a great fit and really happy he was here in the 3rd. With that, in the first three rounds in this draft 1.0, the Eagles came away with Jordan Davis, Jermaine Johnson II, Drake London, Breece Hall, and Brandon Smith. The Steelers and @Virgil are now on the clock.
  20. Fuller is still a FA. I am guessing he wants something close to what he got last year and pricing himself out. The guy is fast, but seemingly always hurt. He’s an enigma. He should take a super cheap deal to play with a top qb, like y’know Josh Allen. Also a lot of rumors linking Fuller to the Browns and Watson.
  21. Any other thoughts on Emerson? In that second tier of corners, he seems like the best fit for the Bills.
  22. I really thought the Bills were going to take Dak that year. Apparently David Lee wanted him and Whaley did not: https://billswire.usatoday.com/2020/07/22/buffalo-bills-david-lee-claims-wanted-draft-russell-wilson-dak-prescott/
  23. G/T Logan Bruss Wisconsin TE Cade Otton Washington
