  1. Maybe hire a coach & GM that will actually go out and make obtaining these players the top priority, instead of wasting time drafting DBs. I agree with all of the Allen points, however... maybe time, draft capital, and cap resources should have mostly been poured into the offense, so that the very-limited rookie QB that is literally going to make or break this franchise has a solid group to work with from day 1. Between the situation they dropped their most important asset into & the bizarre devotion to Peterman, I think very serious discussions concerning McD & B's future with the team are absolutely warranted. If I'm the owner -- It's game over for McD & B unless there are several legitimate signs of improvement between now and January.
  2. Which immediately proves they have no idea what they are doing in the modern NFL.
  3. Yes, waiting 15-20 years for the Bills to be innovative & entertaining is soooo "entitled millennial". Fixed it for you.
  4. The Bills happen to still be at the top of that list.
  5. Your point here does not say what you think it says.
  6. The fact that it is 2018 & not 1985. The winner of the game is determined by who scored the most points. So, build a team that is designed to score as many points as possible. For ****'s sake, I've had it with the "DEEEEEEFESNE WINZ CHAMPIONSHIPS" & "RUNNNNN THE BALL" nonsense. Throw quickly & often, score 28+ every week & you will beat the stupid teams like the Bills that are busy calculating "field position". Well, the solution is to stop hiring bad ones that don't have any idea how to run an innovative, modern offense. The real mistake is to waste another year or two on a clueless fossil like McDermott. With the wrong people, all "continuity" gets you is more losses.
  7. Those are "exceptions", not "the rule". Sometimes parity wins and teams get fortunate at the right time. To put yourself in position to win games and establish sustained success -- you have to be able to score more points than the other team. So, score lots of them.
  8. They were right to see what they had in NP last year. Taylor was a mess and something had to be done. I don't blame them for starting NP last year. However, after what we've seen since then -- it's inexcusable that NP is still on this roster and when considered in the context of the current state of the QB position, it should really give the owners reason to start to seriously consider dismissal.
  9. Just to be clear -- I still don't want TT back here & I'm glad he found his spot on the bench in Cleveland. He's a career backup with a very low ceiling. However, at least he belongs on an NFL roster and is probably in the 35-40 range at the position. DA & NP are best suited for retirement & Hunt Real Estate, respectively. Like I said, I was wrong about how bad it could get -- not my assessment of TT as a QB. He is what he is. With Tyrod, you probably lose 17-5 instead of getting blown out. Taylor's blowout losses generally came against the teams with winning records. However, at least he kept the team from total humiliation. DA & NP are punchlines. That's how low the bar is around here. Taylor was a bad starting QB, but he was at least a somewhat respectable -- yet, desperate -- option for a struggling team.
  10. Draft another QB. Every other position is irrelevant until you get the QB. Have Herbert & Allen fight it out and then trade one of them later on. If they draft D with a top 2 pick, Terrence needs to fire people on the spot.
  11. Bring Tyrod back and run the wishbone. The Bills could be the Naval Academy of the NFL.
  12. Is this a serious question? For the past 15 years, there are teams that are always "in the hunt" for a title. New England, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, etc. There's a reason for that -- they don't "hope" to win games. They have offenses capable of taking the game over and ensuring the desired outcome. The Bills are once again doing it backwards.
  13. It's not. You'll get a team that catches the right breaks and makes it work for a season or maybe two -- ie, Denver & Seattle. However, for true sustained success you have to build an offense that can light up the scoreboard. It is the only way to win consistently. I know, I know... it's an odd approach to put your resources into scoring for a game that determines the winner by who has the most points at the end of the game.
  14. Exactly. I'd like to see the guy they identified as the "franchise" QB at least execute a real NFL passing play once or twice every game. Our standards aren't exactly high around here.
  15. I think people are misconstruing my original post to mean that I was expressing regret that they let TT go. That's not the case at all -- Tyrod definitely sucks and is not a starting QB in the NFL. He is a very capable & competent backup and very much has a place in the NFL. You can't say the same about any active player in the current Bills QB room. However, I was very wrong in thinking that it couldn't get any worse than what he did last year. Clearly, it's possible for it to be much, much worse.
  16. Right -- which is why Beane & McD should probably have one foot out the door right now. You can't mangle the QB position as badly as these two have & stay employed as a head coach & GM. Nothing else matters until you get that position stabilized. Let them go and try again until someone figures out how to get a productive starter under center.
  17. Oh -- I don't want him back either. No thank you. I couldn't stand the thought of watching him take another snap for the Bills. I'm just saying I was wrong about saying it was impossible for them to be any worse than they were last year. The two active QBs that dressed today don't belong on an NFL roster.
  18. Listen, the Ty-Gun Offense was BAD. It was non-existent at times and definitely lost the Bills games. Amazingly, they have done what I thought was impossible: The 2018 Offense is even worse. McD & B found a whole new level of inept performance that is so terrible that I am at a total loss for a word that adequately conveys just how bad it really is. They have a roster spot filled by a player who is so detrimental to the team that he can't be put on the field. This is at the most important position in pro sports, by the way. As for TT -- his stats would probably be exactly what they've always been. Most days under 200 yards and maybe a TD. But at least he's a professional-caliber QB that belongs on an NFL roster. The Bills do not have a player at the QB position right now that fully fits that description.
  19. No. Their abject mismanagement of the offense and specifically the QB position is borderline negligence (hyperbole on my part) & warrants dismissal (not hyperbole). The fact that they have an unplayable option as the #2 QB still on the roster warrants dismissal. This is all about trends -- and nothing on this team's offense is trending in the right direction. These guys haven't done one thing in the last year & a half to demonstrate that they have any grasp whatsoever about how to build/develop an offense in the modern NFL. When it comes time to interview candidates, any coach or GM who comes in and mentions "ball control" or "field position" should be immediately escorted from the premises by security.
  20. Last year, I said that the passing offense couldn't get worse than it was under Tyrod. Boy was I wrong. I honestly didn't think it was really possible for a collection of professional coaches & players to perform as poorly on offense as they have this season. Beane & McDermott deserve to be fired at the end of this season.
  21. Unfortunately, I think you're right. It's the only explanation I can come up with at this point. I couldn't care less about the religious beliefs of players or coaches, but I do think it's a factor in this situation.
  22. Ok, then explain why CJB's production was worlds better than Allen's last year when he was at the exact same point in his career that Allen is right now. You really are missing my point. CJB just happens to be a good current example to use as a comparable. My point is that Allen isn't even close to performing up to the standard of a probable career backup. That is what should really concern Bills fans. Allen hasn't been "franchise" good at any level of football yet.
  23. "A lot more?" He was drafted last year and has played in 3 more NFL games than Allen. Last year, he put up decent rookie numbers throwing to Marquis Goodwin, George Kittle, Aldrick Robinson, and Louis Murphy -- Not exactly Rice, Moss, Gonzalez, and Owens. You have to be trying to troll at this point, because there is no possible way you really mean what you are arguing.
