  1. Stop looking back at where we've been & start looking where we're headed. Did you watch the Rams & Saints? Are you watching the Pats & Packers? The running game is complementary to the passing game. It's a secondary feature for modern NFL offenses. Now, the Rams & Saints are statistically more "balanced" towards the run, but they are still capable of throwing for 400+ and 4 TDs when called upon.
  2. You miss the point. The ENTIRE McD philosophy and approach was backwards and broken from the very start.
  3. No, they really don't anymore. You have one-offs here and there, but continuous, sustained success is driven by stud QBs with innovative coaches who can light up the scoreboard.
  4. You won't get any argument from me on that one. I am all aboard the "Draft Justin Herbert or Drew Lock" bus. Keep drafting QBs until you find one.
  5. I don't claim to know who the up-and-coming offensive coordinators are or who the hot college prospects are. All I know is that the next Sean McVay is out there somewhere and that there are people at OBD who are paid a TON of money to go find out where that person is. I will humor you though with a previous post of mine which should provide further clarification on my position.
  6. I don't, but they definitely got this one wrong. So there's really no other option except hoping they trip & fall into a good decision next time.
  7. Exactly. Don't be the Browns. The Bills need to recognize that they have the wrong people with a completely backwards philosophy & vision in place currently. Those people need to be removed as soon as possible so that steps can be taken to point this team in the right direction. Don't be the Browns.
  8. That's not entirely false, so I'll give you that. What exactly has McD & Beane done so far to give you hope that they can "play their cards right" and overhaul the worst professional football offense in recorded history in one offseason? Was it hiring Rick Dennison? Maybe it was hiring Brian Daboll after Dennison was fired. Was it the addition of Jordan Matthews? Maybe it was the trade for Kelvin Benjamin. How about signing Mike Tolbert to really give the offense a spark last year? I'm sure willingly going into the season with Nathan Peterman & Josh Allen at the most important position in professional sports really earned them some serious credibility with you. If we're being honest, it's building a modern team around a solid, MANLY defense and establishing the line of scrimmage in order to win every game 17-13 that shows that THESE GUYS know what they are doing, right? I'm saying it's irrelevant when used to support McD & Beane as an example of one of their "accomplishments".
  9. Exactly. So the $90M in Free Cap defense for McD is kind of irrelevant, since it does not really give them any advantage. That's my point. It's been difficult in the past to sign guys and now the situation is even worse. Great. Couldn't care less about what Chubb & Johnson are doing. The Browns didn't acquire any other offensive player of note in Free Agency. That was my point. As an aside, "Chubb & Johnson" is a hilarious name for a fantasy team next year. You're welcome, and remember -- this website is FREE.
  10. Big difference between trades and free agency. Best player the Browns signed was Carlos Hyde, who is no longer with the team.
  11. So you don't think that the Bills will have any problem signing quality FAs?
  12. It is a good idea when the person is terrible at the job. It is a GREAT idea when that person is constantly talking about "field position" and "establishing the line of scrimmage" and "the weather" after getting blown out regularly while fielding an offense that is securing a place in history as the worst ever.
  13. I hear a lot of the #TeamProcess guys touting how much cap space McD & Beane created & will have available to them to "rebuild" the offense. Apparently that is supposed to serve as evidence that these guys know what they are doing. Do you McBeaners really think ANY free agent of any offensive worth will willingly come here for the going market rate? Do you have any idea just how much you're going to have to overpay to even get one of those guys to return your call? There is going to be a MASSIVE tax on Free Agent signings for the Bills during the next offseason. That $90M is going to go pretty quick on the marginal-to-mediocre talent that will inevitably sign here. Not to mention that they are only going to bring in guys that know their Scripture passages as well as they know their playbook, so the talent pool is limited to begin with. The intelligent & rational among us will soon realize that Free Agency might as well be seen as irrelevant moving forward. McD's ineptitude and arrogance has set this team back 5-8 years, at least.
  14. Allen has all that physical talent and hasn't been much better than the dumpster fire. However, after today I've decided that the problem is McDermott & Beane. No QB is going to succeed here until a new coaching staff is in place.
  15. My plan? I'm glad you asked. I would assemble a list of candidates and the ones that utter the words "field position", "establish the run", "hard nosed", or "weather" will be immediately escorted off the premises by security. Of the remaining coaches, I would look for the guy who comes in and says "My vision is to score many, many, many points and here is how we are going to exploit the current rules to do it". That cat immediately gets the job. This really isn't hard. Stop hiring backwards coaches who are brainwashed by their own BS. Hire smart, innovative coaches who are aware that when the announcers say "and it's 4th down and the Bills will have to punt", that you don't actually HAVE to punt. Someone tell Terrence that even though I am very happy in my current career, I'd be more than happy to consider a generous offer to come and take over for a few months to sort this mess out for him. Ok, that's fair. What exactly is a "large enough segment"? What percentage of the Bills fanbase do you believe they feel is racist? 20%? 40%? 5%? I don't want a link. You may not be wrong. I want you to expand on that opinion and give me a % of the fanbase that you believe is intolerant of a non-white QB.
  16. Was he? You are saying that McD & the Pegulas are racists, correct?
  17. So then you must be all for giving Nathan Peterman at least another year, right? I mean, he has fewer starts than Allen does.
  18. No. However, I could be talked into a 2019 2nd or 3rd & McCoy. But that's all I would spend on Carr. For the right price, I think it would be a smart move to get him for a year or two.
