  1. I'm pretty sure that mental illness and/or emotional instability was a driving factor that motivated many of the people who stormed the Capitol. As it probably was with many of the people who burned buildings to the ground during the BLM protests. I went on to clarify that no, I don't believe mental illness was the cause of death. While a bullet to the chest is quicker and clearer than a knee to the neck, it is a similarly absurd argument as saying the cause of death in George Floyd's case was his pre-exisitng heart condition and substance abuse and not the knee to his neck for almost 10 mins.
  2. There are other ways to watch, but here is a link to a documentary about what led up to and happened after four LAPD officers were acquitted for using excessive force during the beating of Rodney King. Using only archival footage, this is as compelling as it is difficult to watch (extreme violence warning). I am praying that history does not repeat itself.
  3. I get it. Criminals shouldn't be afforded the rights of citizens. And the police know who to target just by looking .
  4. I think Ryan Bates is ready!
  5. I'd say what she did, attempting to breach the inner Capital with 100's if not 1000's right behind her was a sad but reasonable justification for the use of deadly force. Shooting her right then may have saved lives that day.
  6. I don't really believe mental illness is the cause of her death. The gun shot is...
  7. She was clearly suffering from some form of mental illness that drove her to climb through a broken window into the inner Capitol chamber while federal agents pointed guns at her ordering her not to come through... And that's how ti works, right? Police don't kill people, people kill themselves?
  8. Unfortunately her pre-existing mental illness was the cause of death.
  9. Idk, I think he has top end acceleration. While his top gear isn't break away, he gets to his top gear as fast. He has a better 3 cone and shuttle than Alvin Kamara (at Kamara's pro day) and the same 40.
  10. Meanwhile, "Dr. Bradford Wankhede Langenfeld, the Hennepin County Medical Center physician who pronounced George Floyd dead, previously said that Floyd’s cardiac arrest was likely a result of a lack of oxygen — a source of information backed by Dr. Martin Tobin, a pulmonologist and physician with experience in critical care medicine, who explained that Floyd’s insufficient oxygen levels “caused damage to his brain” and “caused a PEA arrhythmia that caused his heart to stop.” I'm not surprised the Defense was able to pay an expert witness to say that Floyd's death was caused by Floyd himself. But you have to be a sadist to believe that argument aquits Chauvin.
  11. So the pathologist testified that Floyd had cardiac arrest after he was found pulseless while Chauvin continued to kneel on his neck? Otherwise, you have a cop kneeling on a dead man's neck who had cardiac arrest.
  12. So we are to believe that it's legal police policy to kneel on the neck of a man having a heart attack? Sadistic.
  13. Yeah, he could play Strong Side in 4-3 alignment, DE in rushing situations, be Edmunds backup.... And if he's crazy good potentially make them question the need for an Edmunds extension. Which could also light a fire under TreMaine's ass. I still think like trading down as the best option if the board falls like this.
  14. I wish there was a "fair enough" button.
  15. I'd love it if the Bills were able to trade down this situation and grab Javonte Williams and Ossai or Payton Turner in RD 2. Then get CB 2 in RD 3
  16. And George Wallace as Governor of Alabama stood in the door of a school building proclaiming "segregation now segregation tomorrow segregation forever." Alabama state law was on his side. You're making it very clear what world you want to live in. It is truly sadistic.
  17. I think most people have trouble breathing when anxiety kicks in. It's actually a physiological response to panic, the diaphragm muscles that need to expand to take a full breath tighten and you actually can't get full breaths. But even if Floyd was lying about not being able to breathe before he was put on the ground, suffocating him to death is an extreme form of "I'll give you something to cry about."
  18. Isn't there a trade in the mock draft thread, Bills w/ Jax?
  19. What about the other SU CB, Trill Williams? Will he last until we pick in the 5th?
  20. Yes, the medical examiner ruled death due to lack of oxygen and homicide. Many fellow officers and law enforcement experts testified that Chauvin killed him. He continued to kneel on his neck area for almost three minutes after his fellow officer was unable to find a pulse. Fellow police officers testified that Chauvin was required by law to proceed CPR when Floyd became unconscious. An off duty Minneapolis EMT offered to provide CPR. Chauvin refused the offer, and continued to kneel on his pulseless neck. When the paramedics arrived, Chauvin slowly got off of Floyd's neck and dragged his lifeless corpse across the street by his handcuffed arms and throw his lifeless body on the stretcher.
  21. Chauvin has a right to a fair trial, and the defense is doing the best job it can for what they are paid to do. I'm sure there are commentators who would take a still frame representing 1/30th of a second and try to claim that it is represenative of the entire 10 minutes. It's also true that a knee and leg and be on the shoulder and neck at the same time. The medical report was ruled death due to lack of oxygen and homicide.
  22. You seem to be focusing excusivley on the defense narrative that has been refuted by expert witnesses and piles of video evidence. Was there a still frame that showed Chauvin's knee on Floyd's shoulder? Absolutely. Are there many many minutes of video that show his knee on his neck? Absolutely. If you watch the video and do not see a man being slowly suffocated to death, I don't know what to tell you. Do me a favor, watch how Chauvin picks up George Floyd's pulseless body by the handcuffs and drags him across the street when the paramedics arrive and let me know if Chauvin is a man that seems to respect George Floyd's basic human right to life.
  23. There wasn't a video of OJ killing Nicole and Ron. But yes, everyone gets due process. I stand by the claim that it is a sadistic and murderous act to kneel on someone's neck for almost 10 minutes until they die. And it is sadistic to blame the person who was killed for their own death.
