  1. There is no proof any of this has happened. It's a neck injury. He went to the hospital and was examined by doctors. He then, no doubt, had those results reviewed by the Bills staff. Now he is going for another opinion. None of us know what any of these people have said about his injury. Anything more than that right now is speculation.
  2. The Bills offense seems pretty good to me. With the limited resources Beane has it may be better spent on a DB with the injuries to that unit. It's only week #3. No need to do anything yet.
  3. After the Milano TD the offense was pulled and didn't score another point. We can always second guess, but pulling both O and D starters halfway through the 3rd quarter (like they did) is an extremely rare occurrence.
  4. Before the Milano INT (halfway through the 3rd) the Titans still could have got back into the game.
  5. Wow, it's crazy how we fans see things differently. My first impression is the Bills staff may not think it's that bad and he wants to get it checked out to be sure. Now you could absolutely be right. I just hope I'm right.
  6. He still has 3 more days. He may not be 100% but I'm betting he's good to go.
  7. Our "Daddy" still can beat up their dad.
  8. Injuries are disconcerting. Bills fans are like Gene Kranz in Apollo 13. Gene Kranz : Let's look at this thing from a... um, from a standpoint of status. What do we got on the spacecraft that's good? [pause] Sy Liebergot : I'll get back to you, Gene. As much as can be guessed we got something like this. OFFENSE: Thing looking pretty good. Maybe all the starters are playing, and Bobby Hart is out. Bills dress 8 OL and that is what they got. Maybe a call-up of Mancz or Anderson. Davis, Morse and Knox may not be 100% but it's trending they play. DEFENSE: DL - Phillips is probably OUT. The other 8 will dress. Once again, Oliver and Settle may not be 100% but it's trending they play. If one of them can't it's another call up. I hope this doesn't happen due to the fact these PS guys only get 3 call-ups a year. LB - Milano is looking like he can play. The rest are good to go. DB - Scary as it stands right now. Looking like both Jackson and Hyde are OUT. Cam Lewis will dress and Ja'Marcus Ingram probably gets a call up. From what I read about him he does have some S experience. I got to think Poyer plays but if he doesn't it will be a real concern. Kyler McMichael gets called up. It's trending that the game could easily turn into a shootout. I still would have to give the advantage to the Bills. Not only in the sense of the Bills offense with Josh but I think they have the ability to methodically move the ball and protect the D minutes better than Miami. Special Teams, I give a slight advantage to the Bills. Am I missing something? What is the other possiblities?
  9. Dean Martin always had good-looking, hired help around him.
  10. The NFL competition committee sites by doing what they do, they do not unduly penalize a team with a lot of injuries. That knife cuts both ways.
  11. Remember when so many fans laughed at "The Process"? Remember when McDermott only wanted "Choir Boys"? Remember when Brandon Beane didn't know wide receiver talent?
  12. I totally agree. The thing is a PS player can only be called up 3 times in a season. Calling him up 2 times by Week #3 is not ideal for me.
  13. As much as some fans overvalued Blackshear there are just as many who undervalued him. He made the PS and that's a tough thing to do with this team. I miss any PS player poached. He had a lot of time with the club and may have been useful during the season.
  14. I'm not 'expecting" Ed back but being elevated from DNP last week to Limited is a trend in the right direction. IF it ends up that Phillips is the only No Go, it's pretty good for the Bills. They probably dress the other 8 and skip elevating any PS players.
  15. I personally would have thought Duke Johnson would be getting poached before Blackshear. Always a chance that Baa Baa gets signed to the Bills camp next season. I'm still not 100% convinced that Devin will not be extended next season. If he willing to do a 3 year for reasonable money.
  16. I wasn't back tracking to your post. I was commenting on the "Bills are playing offense too" aspect. There was all kind of "concerns" about the Bills D against the Titans and no real offset with the offense. I'm starting to see the same thing with Tua and the WRs.
  17. Agree, but I would add that so far, the Miami RBs are just as potent in the check down/screen passes as actually running the ball. The RBs have averaged 62 yards in their first 2 games. Pass rushing and quickness might be more important this Sunday. Edmonds and Mostert are both smaller, quicker RBs. They are the opposite of a Henry.
  18. I'm so glad someone opened up the subject of McDermott CBs vs how these CBs perform out of his system. Levi Wallace was a more than capable CB for the Bills throughout his 4 years with the team. While I'm not a fan that takes stats too seriously this is one stat I'd like to share. During Levi's 4 years in Buffalo, he had a passer rating under 80. Not a bad 4-year statistic. So far in Pittsburgh Levi has a 101.3 passer rating. While on its own it doesn't prove much but it's another notch in the "McDermott gets the most out of his CBs" holster. My Dad used to use that term. A good one from the WW2 generation!
  19. I said this in the Titan game posts and already have said the same thing in the Dolphins game posts. The thing is there is a contingent of posters that together post about 10-15% of the replies on this board who will not listen to anything positive about this team. I have learned to not take the bait no more. You know you need that bait to troll. The Bills have a tough game ahead of them on the road, especially with some injuries. They will be favorites. After that being said, there is no logical argument that can be made to these "fans".
  20. I'm not sure of those stats. I can believe them. It needs to go down IMO. Every year he gets older. He needs to save those rushes for playoffs.
  21. Exactly. Yesterday the Titans filled the box a lot and had the football thrown down their throats. Let's see what next week brings.
  22. ...over the septic tank.
  23. It was evident yesterday they don't want Josh running the way he has in the past. That's OK with me. Seems to me the team has put the emphasis on the pass pro for the OL which can be confirmed by the fact they can throw the ball anywhere they want to. The weather is fine and passing the ball all over the place seems to be the smart move. They got plenty of time to bring around the running game as time goes by.
  24. After the Milano TD it was time to sit some starters anyway. You answered your own question. Let's see tomorrow where all the guys are at.
