It was reported he wants "up to $20M per year on a multi-year contract". I laughed when I heard it. Leaving all that aside. He's doing his "tour" with teams and can't even work out yet. WTF is that all about?

I live in Bronco land. They love him as a past QB, but they don't want him anywhere near selecting QBs (or any other players for that matter). The "assigned himself" stuff is a joke out here. The fans knew he had to leave the front office.

@ngbillshad it right. They cut him when they signed Marlowe. The other factors were the DL and CB injuries. I thought they should have kept Hodgins (especially with Kumerow with a bad ankle) but it was a numbers thing. I mentioned in another thread I bet Beane thought he could get him to the PS and would bring him back full time after all those DL/DB injuries were done. I bet he has some regrets over that now. I've been down on Kumerow's WR worth, but he was running some good routes when needed this year. He was the recipient of some bad passes by Josh that could have gone for some decent yards. My hope is he can come back soon.

If Baker had any sense of humor, he could have still been making money doing those commercials. They would be hilarious, and he would definitely improve his brand name. I'd bet Progressive would love them! I know the fans would except for maybe people in Cleveland.

I've never "bashed" Lamar for his QB play. I do think he's a fool for not hiring an agent and playing at the end of his 5th season still without a long-term contract.

Elway has no official job with the team but if he did that, I would love it. I constantly remind Bronco fans that Elway passed on Josh Allen because he had Case Keenum as QB. Bronco fans are on the ledge, and this just might make them jump!

All true, but Jackson doesn't have a contract yet. He should have signed 2 weeks after Allen did last August. He was at his height of fame and could easily got $45M AAV with a little higher guaranteed % than Josh. If he had an agent, he would have told Jackson to take that. I now bet he gets tagged next year for $31M. He will have to hope his play doesn't drop off and he avoids a big injury. All this contract stuff has to be a distraction and he was a fool not to have signed last year. IMO.

Great! The Dolphins have to play in LA Sunday and will fly back after their loss only to fly into Buffalo Friday night to lose again on Saturday. Sounds good to me!

I agree someone is going to get hurt but I'm not saying it should be illegal. I will say I think the DCs will start to look at this and try to find a way to counter it. I got mixed feelings about it.

They had 3 days off. How they spend it is up to them. There were no scheduled practices during that time. They just went through a crazy 12 day stretch and I'm sure that everyone needed a mini-break. They get a full normal week with a home game. It's working out perfect for them.

If they think the Baker Mayfield is going to turn into a great mentor for the rookie, then they should do it. I think he would be a disaster in that role, and he may not want to do it in the first place. He's an UFA next year. If I was the Texans GM, I would pursue a Jacoby Brissett/Teddy Bridgewater type guy to mentor and play until the rookie is ready. Heck, I'd pay Cooper Rush $3M before I would have Baker on my team! As you can see, I'm not a big fan of the Baker Mayfield! LOL.

The Texans will have the 1st pick and will take the best QB in the draft. Why would they need Mayfield? They need the best backup QB who can help the rookie and that surely is not Mayfield. The only QB needy teams below the Colts are the Saints (who don't have a 1st round pick) and the Panthers. I think they would be foolish not to go for QB#2 in the draft. Keeping Matt Ryan will ensure that will happen. IMO.

The 4-8-1 Colts would be insane to pick him up. The last thing they need is to win a couple more games. Colts have a bye then play the Vikings, Chargers, Giants and end the season with the Texans. They should be in full tank mode.
