I’m not saying we force it. I’m all for passing. But they have 3 excellent corners and I guarantee Baltimore is thinking they will out muscle us in this game. We shouldn’t change who we are or what got us here, but in a snow/wind game on a slick field, you need some production from the running game. As I said in previous posts this week, if Motor (and/or Yeldon) has a similar YPC and overall production that we had in the Texans playoff game last year, along with a solid game from Josh, we will be in excellent shape and likely win the game barring a complete defensive meltdown.

Ugh. Wind and snow will suck. I hate snow games. I just like seeing your best vs. the other team’s best to determine winner. Not who wore the best cleats. With that said, Ravens will try to out physical us this game. Punch us in the mouth. I’m not suggesting we go against what brought us here (passing), but I think we need a physical presence in the run game to punch back when we need to and grind out some tough yards on the ground. With Moss out, I think that has to be Williams. Particularly, if we get to a situation where we get up and need a 4 minute drive to bleed clock.

Meh. I guess you can’t discount his experience, but I’d rather roll with the younger guy in Williams. But I know there’s no guarantee Freeman ever sees the active roster.

I’m just as nervous about this Ravens game as anyone. Not because of the opponent but because of the stakes. With that said, we played some great teams this year and the defense was fine. 13 and 3 (shoulda been 14-2) fine. Colts are a balanced team and had a great game plan. It happens. I think people/media need to relax a tad.

No, I believe the play he was injured and out on IR with the Giants was him getting lit up in pass pro.

I agree that we have to be more effective at running and stopping the run if we want to move forward to the AFCCG and beyond. Not world beaters, but better. On the defensive side, I think it mostly comes down to better tackling. That’s fixable. However, I think we’re also size challenged up front on the D line. Not much we can do about that now. I just looked up Motor’s stats from the Texans game - 13 for 58 (4.5 YPC) and 6 receptions for 76 (he was actually our leading receiver 😢). Of course Josh also had 9 for 92 on the ground that game which helped. But, we’ll be ok if we can get similar production out of Singletary on a YPC basis. As much as I’d like to see Yeldon, this is a chin strap game, and I might lean toward the more physical player in Williams to sub Motor.

I don’t love Moss being out. Obviously. However, I think relying on one guy as the primary guy may be better to get someone in a groove. Not suggesting he’s going to run for 200 yards, or even have a chance to, but Devin played well in the Texans playoff game last year as the primary guy. Sprinkle in Williams or Yeldon and I think we’ll be fine. We are a passing team anyway.

Probably won’t happen, but I wouldn’t hate having Trent Murphy up for this game.

Buckle the chin strap and win the damn game. These games don’t get any easier. I haven’t forgotten that SOB Jerry Coleman and would love for this Bills team to make him eat crow. Based on what we’ve shown this year, I guarantee Harbaugh believes they can out-physical us. They are going to try to punch us in the mouth in the run game. I also think their DBs will try to bully our receivers. We must match their physicality with our defense against their offense. Get to the ball, wrap up, and tackle. This is a game I’d absolutely love to have guys like Lorenzo and Kyle (or even Star, Jordan, and Shaq).

Let’s hope he’s also the first to win 2.
