  1. what does this mean? We are talking about football here.
  2. I better not see another running play unless we have the lead late
  3. When Moss got 9 yards I said I’m still mad they ran it because here comes 3rd and 1
  4. I think McDermott is behind this conservative approach when backed up
  5. Hope we end up beating Brady in a “home game” in the same city as wide right. Have that many demons ever been exercised at once?
  6. Completely different teams and absolutely nothing are the biggest exaggerations I’ve ever heard
  7. Not afraid of them but they were the only team to blow us out. mcdermott even said if you go 13-3 you usually don’t have to play a 10 win team week 1 of playoffs
  8. Well I played all of our backups against the dolphins week 17 and put up 52 points. Fromm OPOW. but I agree I would like to avoid them. A very likely scenario has us at 2 and Baltimore at 6. That guarantees we don’t play them until AFC championship if at all.
  9. I wanted the Bills to draft Edmunds. So far his play has been terrible. The NE TD drive was play after embarrassing play by Edmunds. He could turn his career around, but I would have no interest in paying him before he shows a lot of improvement. Unfortunately, there are only 5 games left to evaluate before the 5th year option decision (hopefully). The option will be around $13mil. At this point I might look to trade him while his perceived value is high as a two time pro bowler. But I would only do that with a replacement plan. Otherwise, decline the option and hope he has a good 4th year.
  10. I was going to head back to New York next week, but my dad called and said we can go to the game. Needless to say I’m staying an extra week in Buffalo.
  11. Still needs to be faster than Mayfield and Daniel Jones. He had a faster 40 time than both.
  12. Do you think the Bucs have any coulda had Allen threads?
  13. One aspect of establishing the run is to set up play action. Apparently the data implies running before play action has little to no effect on the outcome of the subsequent PA pass. I wish I had a source, but I hear guys like Joe Marino and a few others reference this sometimes.
  14. Yeah, they showed the stat of 21-1 or something after halftime of the Cards game, and we know how that turned out.
  15. Interesting. At the 1 minute mark below Allen says it was ad libbed. I'm assuming he's talking about the same play. https://twitter.com/TheJoeDahlke/status/1343784925284151296?s=20
  16. I want to win against Miami for a number of reasons. Not only does it make Indy and Miami more likely 1st round opponents, but it could help us avoid Baltimore and Tennessee altogether. (Or KC if they are upset) Not to mention the AFC east sweep. on the other hand, injuries could be more damaging than a tougher schedule.
  17. I’m torn. I want to protect against injury. But I also would rather play Indy over Cleveland. Those are our most likely opponents in a win and loss respectively. Losing also gives us more chance to play Ravens (if Pittsburgh wins). Is the difference between Indy and Cle significant? Probably not, but in that scenario Pittsburgh would play Cleveland and BAL would play TEN knocking one out. Buffalo could then play Pittsburgh in round two while KC played Ten or Bal. IMO the worst matchups for us are KC, Bal, Ten in that order. If we beat Miami there’s a good chance we only have to play one out of those three on the way to TB.
  18. Tre got a 4 year 69mil extension. That's a 17.25mil/yr, but Beane paid him some of that this year and next so that his cap hit never gets over 14.6mil and is signed through 2025. Next year (2021) would have been his 5th year. If we project the same for Josh, assuming we can restructure/cut some contracts (Jefferson, Butler, Matakevich, Smith) to create more space in the offseason, he gets the 4 year 161M extension, but his cap hit could be lower if the 161mil is spread over 6 seasons instead of 4. Josh is set to make 6.9 mil next year, and the 5th year option will be around 27million (it will be equal to the transition tag which was 24.4mil this year and should go up a bit due to Mahomes/Watson contracts.) 2021 - 6.9mil 2022 - 27mil. Now add on the 4 year 161million. That's 40mil/year in years 2023-2026 OR 32mil/year from 2021-2026. My guess is Beane will do the same he did with Tre and in a couple years both will be underpaid compared to top players at their positions.
  19. Diggs is one catch from having 10 in 4 straight games. only Calvin Johnson has done that
  20. How the hell did Edmunds make the pro bowl? his 5th year option goes up because of that. How can we justify exercising that?
  21. Yep. GB will be right back to where Titans were easily.
