Have you ever had any take in any thread on this board that wasn't coming from a negative view point?  The moment I see a thread that doesn't directly have a negative tone, I know with 100% certainty 2 people are gonna use the roll eyes or laugh emoticon to it...you and @Airseven.  Its as sure as the rising and setting of the sun.

First...You don't draft anyone over what their ROOKIE year might yield.  You know Kincaid is here at least for 4-5 years right?  What he does or doesn't do as a rookie does NOT indicate whether he was a worthy first round pick as his career spans more than his rookie year.

Second, why are you even attempting to mention Flowers or Nacua when neither were options when the Bills were on the clock and took Kincaid.  Flowers was drafted BEFORE our pick, so couldn't have taken him.  Nacua?  I guarantee you had never heard of him until his week 1 game with the Rams and you put in your free agent bid in fantasy to get him.  So lets not pretend Nacua had any shot for any team to take him in the first round, he was a 5th round pick.  You know like Shakir...a guy I am pretty sure I have seen you dump on and be negative about because he was a "5th round pick".

Bottom line is simple...Kincaid has the talent, but opportunities here are limited by his role and usage.  Plug Kincaid into the Lions offense and he has the same kind of season, maybe better, than LaPorta.  He will be a legit weapon for years to come and has the potential to be special or elite.

For the record, I don't disagree that we need a better WR2 as Davis isn't it.  But that doesn't make the Kincaid pick a bad pick either.

    Everyone loves LaPorta.
LaPorta averages 4.2 YAC per reception.

    Kincaid averages 4.3.

And for those reminiscing about the great Cole Beasley, his last full year in Bflo he averaged 3.7.

Everything points to the Bills going pass heavy in this,  the Dolphins are banged up in the secondary and missing both Phillips and Chubb their best Pass Rushers. Lamar Jackson had all day to pass in their game last Sunday, not surprised to see the Dolphins  drop 7-8 guys and force Allen to be patient.

    I agree.

Moreover, the Dolphins strength is their DT. Best way to destroy a pocket is up the middle.

I see Bills rolling Josh out, and also running QB draws to combat the interior rush.

If Dolphins are still using a wide 9, then Bills may need to use a TE to help break contain on rollouts. So I think Knox blocking ability comes into play this game.

Who said McD has no responsibility for building the Bills into a top franchise? I didn't.

When you land a Josh Allen it's pretty much a given you can sleepwalk into a top 10 franchise. He that good.

The issue and the debate is why the Bills haven't been able to even sniff a super bowl. Frankly, they haven't even been close!!! There are several reasons why and one IMHO includes McD. Of course, you disagree.

Should this fan base accept a good regular season as a success, playoff appearances as a success? One playoff win and out as a success? This is what we've gotten under McD. Success can be measured and interpreted in many ways. I'd argue the goalpost have dramatically moved for at least a couple of years.

McD continues to fall short. Not sure how Bills fans nonchalantly dismiss the 13 second nightmare and the Bengal thrashing as hoe hum. What's the next occurrence of failure? Can't wait to hear your excuse.

I’ve noticed that with Kincaid as well. In fact it’s been my only disappointment with him. I’ve mentioned this lack of playmaking ability when folks compare him to other elite tight ends. However, that’s not what I saw from him as a college player. The NFL is obviously a step up with faster defensive players, but I’m not convinced his RAC ability is as bad as appears. I don’t think the routes he’s asked to run put him in the best position to make plays. He’s taking on a role that’s similar to running backs as outlet receivers.

    What???

Kincaid has 282 YAC this year. Good for 11th among TE.

I have no clue where stupid statements like this come from.

Why? What has Isabella done that you’ve seen that makes this change necessary?

    C’mon dude, don’t be obtuse.

OP is pointing out that in 16 games, Harty has been disappointing. There is another guy (Isabella) siting on the bench who has shown some ability in college and aNFL. What do you have to lose to give this guy a chance?

Yea that’s what I think as well. He makes a lot of wow plays. He also make a lot of mind numbningly bad plays. And he doesn’t make the routine play routinely. I think the last item is fixable.

I also think the bills have never been close to being a legit Super Bowl contender. Looking at the eagles , sf , kc , Brady bucs , la rams…….. those teams had NUMEROUS impact all pro players. BOTH sides of the ball.

we don’t / haven’t. Allen was all pro ONCE. Second team in 2020

we were/ are a historically losing / hopeless small market franchise that ascended quickly with an unlikely good qb

It's a constant balance between being certain of the play-offs and still winning the division... Analysis is correct: the main team to root against is the Steelers, and the likeliest "unsuspected help" in the last two weeks has to come from the totally unpredictable Titans.

Here's one for you all: which scenario would you prefer after the week 17 games, assuming we have beaten the Pats:

1/ Bills mathematically certain of play-offs but Phins beat Ravens so the division title is gone.

2/ Phins lose so Bills play in Miami for the division title but a loss could spell no play-offs alltogether.

Where would you rather be next week ? Apart from right here right now of course....

After playing around with the playoff simulator, there's a plausible way the Bills miss out that involves only one potential underdog having to win in a group of 8 games over the next two weeks.

    Week 17

    Bills over pats

    Colts over Raiders

    Jags over Panthers

    Texans over Titans

    Steelers over Seahawks

All the teams above are home favourites except for the Steelers who are a 3 pt underdog on the road

    Week 18

    Dolphins over Bills

    Jags over Titans

    Steelers over Ravens

Bills likely a small underdog next week. Jags on the road but will still be favoured. Steelers likely playing Ravens backups if Ravens win this week in Miami and will be favoured if so.

Hopefully they take care of business in Miami so all of this is moot.

And before anyone asks, yes I'm fun at parties.

    Thanks.

The way I see it, the team that is playing the best football, with fewest NEW major injuries, at playoff time is the team that wins the Super Bowl.  Early season wins and losses are irrelevant. We’re now talking about teams that have meshed and found their identities, tweaked coaching and playing styles, have replaced season ending injuries with quality depth.

Personally, I don’t really care if the Bills make the playoffs and lose a first round game. I want a Super Bowl.

So if Bills lose to Miami, that means that this edition of the Bills isn’t Super Bowl quality.

I think this edition has overcome injuries and coaching snafus and is now beginning to play their best. When this Bills team brings focus and their A game they’re outstanding.

Playoffs begin on Sunday. No more mulligans.
