Yeah and I just can't see Allen putting up with it. Allen has an out after 2025.
?? How does Allen have an out after 2025??

How about I blame the GM/coach. That is the only in the league to not draft a wr in the 1st 3 rounds in 5 years? They will go down in history and discussed decades later as "Mcdefense" and a failure for having the most talented qb buffalo has ever had and never even sniffed a SB
So, the facts are that Bills spent 1st round draft picks on both a WR and a receiving TE in the past 5 yrs.
You can argue this for the next 5 billion years, but its still a fact.

Well Penn State is hundreds of miles from Pittsburgh so they're really not the same area
And Terry Smith has been the cornerbacks coach at Penn State for years now
Respected guy.. he runs a disciplined system... We're looking for scheme fits late in the draft at defensive back
Penn State and Pittsburgh run DB friendly systems that translate to our system
Hardy graduated from Penn Hills high school, about 10 mile away from downtown Pittsburgh.

Actually returned 3 punts for TD; one was called back on penalty.
Reminds me a lot of Nickel Robey. Good slot corner. Different skill set than Taron Johnson.

Not a draft guy at all, I don't do mocks or anything but I trust this front office.
I trust Beane and Co and Josh carefully concluded on Coleman and he adds a dimension to Shakir,Kincaid, Samuel that was missing.. we'll see
There is no doubt whatsoever that Keon Coleman has a different skill set thatn the Bills current receivers.
The big concern is whether his skill set transfers to the NFL and whether he can separate from defenders sufficiently for Josh to trust his eyes.
Im optimistic that Josh learns that Coleman is open even when he doesnt have separation, given his ball skills. Well learn a lot in 6 months.

Still salty that there were 5 3rd round comp picks and Bills didnt get one.
Someone please let Goodell know that id like a word with him.

Keon Coleman is plenty athletic. You don’t play high level D1 basketball and football being a subpar athleteAhh, read what I wrote. Hes' not super athletic. I dont know what his RAS score is, but I'm sure its <9. But his film is better than his RAS score might suggest.
As a bunch of others have written, I'm not sure he will get the separation that Josh will trust. time will tell.

Yaaaay the big guy who runs one route and can’t separate against college defensive backs wooooo
This fits our draft philosophy to a T though, it’s just like Edmunds
Literally the opposite of Edmunds.
Edmunds was super athletic, RAS score of 9.5, but played worse than his athleticism.
Coleman is not super athletic, but plays better than his athletic traits would suggest.- 2

I'll allow it then.
But here's the thing even if you add him to the list of successes, the hit rate is pretty low.
Aiyuk isn’t listed as a success.
The list is useless.
This isn’t a difficult concept.- 1

Diabetes is very manageable for elite athletes with world class athletic trainers. Yikes, numerous athletes are diabetic that you aren’t aware of. This should mean nothing to his draft position. I would be more concerned that he takes plays off if that is accurate.
I’m not sure I agree that numerous pro athletes have type I diabetes. In fact, I can only think of one—Ron Santo from the last century.
Im sure you can do a google search and come up with a few more. I doubt more than 0.1% of pro athletes have type 1 DM.

To be going into this season paying their most expensive receiver $8m is crazy … if this is the plan… they better hit on two big names in the draft …Picking a guy at 28 and the fourth round isn’t good enough in my view
Hmmm…
Did the chiefs pay any WR >$8 million last year?

I’m not debating the number of draftable players, but the Covid rationale doesn’t make any sense. If players stayed extra years since 2020, that wouldn’t decrease the pool available in 2024.
I think a better explanation is that NIL now allows the best players to get paid 6-7 figures to stay in school.

So my take away from this thread is:
we trade up for BTJ
& trade our 2025 1st to get back into the round for ________ (insert favorite choice)
😎😂
Please God,
let us have Nabers AND BTJ?!
🤯Allen A-BOMB offense.
28 & Spencer Brown to LV for 13
13, 128, 2025 2nd, 3rd to LAC/NYG 6/7
60, 2025 1st, 2nd, 5th to SEA for 16

For the most part, I think the top 100 picks are where you form the nucleus of your team.
I don’t like the idea of putting all your eggs (4 top 100 picks) in one basket.
If the guy gets hurt, or doesn’t pan out you have no backup plan.
it’s almost like the Ricky Williams draft.

Top 15 - 1050 Value - #28, 2025 1st, and #2 next year from Diggs trade
If there were any move I'd be willing to make, it would be this one. I think we all know what holes this team will have for the next few years as the age purge is already happening. I want to keep my picks this year, because we could get that Top 4 WR, and still get a starting G/C, and DL/S with our top picks. Next year, we wouldn't have our first, but the value is here this year. We wouldn't miss the 2nd from the Diggs trade. So I view it as getting a top 4 receiver at the cost of our 1st next year. I'm good with that
#12 - 1200
Bills - #1 2024 - 660 + Bills 2025 #1 300 = 960
That math doesn't math at all
I dont know. Theres a chart, and then there are real life trades.
"The Chiefs moved up to 10th overall by sending their first-round pick that year (27th overall) to Buffalo, along with a 2017 third-round choice (No. 91 overall) and KC's 2018 first-round pick."

Whitner was 1.) overdrafted - would’ve been a good use of a second rounder, but at 8th overall, a safety needs to be a difference maker on the level of Ed Reed or Ronnie Lott, and
2.) NOT Haloti Ngata, who was right there and such an obvious pick
Lolz.
I remember that draft well. I was outside cutting the grass, when my son comes outside to tell me the Bills picked Whitner.
My reaction: "Who?" I had never heard of Donte Whitner.

No the Bills traded 10 for 27, a 3rd, and a next years first. Poster either misheard or Trapasso is off on his valuationThanks. I stand corrected. Forgot about the third, which is a big deal. I think more and more teams are considering the top 100 picks as the most valuable picks.
Thats why it irks me that Bills got a compensatory 4th not 3rd, when all observers (not just Bills-centric) were assuming it was going to be a 3rd based on past several years data.

They had Chris Trapasso on WGR yesterday. He said #28 and next years 2nd gets you right around the 15-18 range.
also said #28 and next years 1st gets you right around 10-12 range.
don’t shoot the messenger. Just going by what he said.
Could probably end up with Franklin and Sweat after a few smaller trades to move back up. Could probably have 44, 60, and 77 and trade that 77 along with something later (I don’t know the grades/chart) to move up. Getting 3 picks in the top 60. That would be huge.
if Mitchell is there at 28 I say take him because you don’t know what’s going to happen. But if you told me now Mitchell and xx as it stands, or I could have Sweat, Franklin, and xx. I’d definitely take the Sweat and Franklin deal.
If Odunze slips to 10-12, I wouldn’t mind this trade.
A few years back the Bills switched firsts (10 for 27) and next years first, right? I know there’s a few value charts floating around, but that seemed to be the one Bills were using a few years back.

ESPNs latest 7 round mock draft has 16 Wolverines being selected this braking the previous record of the Joe Burrow LSU team and I admit there is some guys here who’d I love in Buffalo to add especially some of those day 3 guys
1st Round: JJ McCarthy to Denver
2nd Round: WR Roman Wilson, DB Mikey Sanristill, and DT Kris Jenkins
3rd Round: LB Junior Colson and OL Zach Zinter
4th Round: RB Blake Corum
6th Round: DL Braedon McGregor, OLDrake Nugent, OL Trevor Keegan, LB Michael Barrett, WR Cornelius Johnson , LB Jalen Harrell, and Trent Jones OL
7th Round: OL Ladarius Henderson and TE KJ Barner
In terms of quality, I don’t think that prediction beats Bama.
in recent years they have had 4-5 in round 1 and 7 in rounds 1-2.

In the article, Damar tells his little brother there are no beaches in Buffalo. Sounds like he hasn't been here long. Now, if he said there were no NICE beaches - I'd get it!
The nicest beaches in Buffalo are in Fort Erie.
Which are actually pretty nice.
Had a memorable beach party on a private beach just west of For Erie a few years back.

K J Hamler the new speed threat?
in The Stadium Wall
Posted
Hamler was both fast and quick in college. Biggest problem he had at psu was drops, which I think knocked him out of the 1st round.
Year 1 at Denver he averaged 19 yds per catch on limited targets.
the cardiac issue he had seemed to be a viral myocarditis, which typically resolves completely.
Biggest issue I see is hamstrings and acl. If he’s recovered from these, he could be the deep threat Bills currently lack.
in any event,, a pretty low risk signing. Cost the Bills no draft capital and little salary cap.
