The Super Bowl criteria is tough.
Bills are up against an alltime great coach/qb combo.
Reminds me of the 1970s Oilers who were always blocked by the Steelers.

Weird.
Article makes no mention of his wife interning for Walz.
Or who exactly gets appointed to the positions they do and why.
Walz knew him.
The questions are all fair - all of them.
Pretty hypocritical of you and PBS to be upset about freedom of speech and the press during No Kings weekend.
Apologize? From the morons that call Trump literally Hitler everyday.
“The Vice President candidate for the Democrat party is directly connected to a domestic terrorist, that is confirmed, the only question is whether Tim Walz himself ordered the political hit against a rival who voted against Walz's plan to give free healthcare to illegals," Cernovich wrote.”
This is a fair statement?
Oh, and congrats for hitting Godwins law in record time.

What is the likelihood any of these clowns apologizes to Walz for smearing his name?

I think cook is a great talent and I like him. He's a good kid. I'm hoping he signs for a reasonable deal at some point.
I don't know necessarily if cook is worth it. I just look at the trade-off and what we were in the past before cook. We're basically achieving the same benchmarks, although I think the nature of the offense has changed.
He's a playmaker that teams have to game plan around but he's also a platoon player and I think if we used him more often as an every down running back he would get hurt.
The Bill's system is a platoon system. It just doesn't afford paying big bucks to one of the running backs.
So my ultimate response is no. Not a big multi-year contract for 15 mil per year. What I would do is make him play this year at $5 to 6 million per year, worse comes the worst. You could franchise him at around 12 to 13 million for the next year.
Contrary to popular belief he can't hold out this year. There's really no pathway for him to do it and get vested. This was explained the other day on one Bill's live.
I just want to also add that you're going to have to sink some more money into the o-line in the next couple years. Ocyrus Torrance is a stud. Connor is coming up too and a couple others. We've struggled to get a great o-line in Buffalo for years. I hope we maintain the commitment.
Is that correct about vesting?
I seem to remember another player (not Bills) holding out until game 8 or so, because that was the latest he could wait and still get pension credit.

Imo, Parrino is the worst Bills podcaster. So damn full of himself yet obviously wasn’t good in any sport. The dweeb who became a sportscaster out of spite.
So you know what type of athlete Parino was by listening to him talk?
Thats quite a talent!

Cool. I’m curious if any dads who have actually hosted a daughters wedding agree with that opinion.
In my experience, brides want every thing to go smoothly on their wedding day.
Don’t get me wrong. I think todays weddings are very much “over produced”. My girls were both strongly encouraged to hire a “wedding planner” for another couple thousand on top of other costs. To their credit both girls figured that they didn’t need a planner.
But a quick run through so everyone knows what they do when? I think that’s a good idea.

I have never understood, and will never understand, the concept of a wedding rehearsal.
You don't have to remember your lines. You just repeat after the celebrant. What are you rehearsing? Walking?
There is a choreography to these things. Who moves when, who walks with who, who turns left and right, etc.
it’s not rocket science, but it’s not trivial either.

McDermott throwing bombs lol. Honestly I have seen a difference this offseason in him. Calling out Coleman, saying he realizes changes needed to be made on how he approaches the defense ( see bigger DT's brought in) and now this.
That’s not really true. Yes, they have positional flexibility, especially for injury, but when they played single high, Hyde was almost always high and Poyer at LB level.
Bills played Hamlin in the Hyde position but he really isn’t fast enough. Thats why I think Bishop, who may be more suited to the Poyer position, takes over for Hamlin this year. Hamlin is not fast enough for the Hyde position.

Mailata isn't elite? Are you serious? Wow. He is the best left tackle in football right now.
Well, I guess it depends on how you define elite. Is it top 25? Top 50? Top 100? Or some completely different metric.
For what it’s worth, ESPN and NFL each put out a top 100 list. Base on a panel of experts or NFL players.
Mailata wasn’t on either list.

The Chiefs currently have 3 - Mahomes, McDuffie and Jones. I don't think Kelce is anymore but at his peak may have been the greatest TE of all time.
The Eagles currently have 4 - AJ Brown, Barkley, Mailata and Carter. And both Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean will be in that category if they back up their rookie year in 2025.
AJ Brown and Barkley yes. Mailata and Carter aren’t elite. Neither is McDuffie.

I’ve already said it in another thread. Coleman is the receiver fighting for the final roster spot.
Shakir, Palmer, Moore, Samuels are all making it. 5th spot will be between Coleman and whoever else.
Beane and McDermott were not happy with him. He is not a lock to make the team as many seem to think IMO. Unless he really really makes a jump from last year.
Dude was our clear 2nd best WR last year and now is getting cut?

It's really not that big of a deal. There's a reason they move corners who have gotten too slow to safety. It's an area you can hide if you have enough game knowledge. It's especially if you have great ball skills and play a lot of zone. If Hamlin can stick around long enough to acquire the game knowledge due to playing hard and his ST contributions. I wouldn't be shocked to see a guy like him play into his mid thirties as a contributor.
I think it’s a pretty big deal.
Especially for a team in its Super Bowl window.
Hamlin supposedly ran 4.6 at his pro day, but he plays slower than that. he’s not Micah Hyde.
Id prefer that he play into his mid thirties as a contributor for the Jets.

CB - Safe = Benford & Hairston
Next up = White, Ingram, Jackson, Codrington, Strong, Couch ... At least two of these guys make the final roster, maybe 3.
Nickel CB - Safe = Johnson
Lewis - Knows the system, plays Nickel and Safety, One of our best ST players
Hancock - 5th round rookie, can play nickel and Safety, not sure about STs, Knows what it takes to win a Championship.
Hardy - 6th round pick last year and nearly made the team, can return punts ... 1 of these 3 will back up Johnson.
S - Safe = Rapp & Bishop
2 of these 3 guys will make the team, all 3 if Hancock wins the #2 NCB job ... Forrest, Hamlin, Hancock
Best guess starting - Benford, Hairston, Johnson, Rapp, Bishop
Back ups - White, Ingram, Hancock, Forrest, Hamlin

Should he be starting for the Bills? no, probably not, but he's absolutely good enough to be the #3 safety on most teams in the league and a starter on weaker secondaries. His biggest flaw is that he's slow.
Being slow is a pretty serious flaw for a safety. Just sayin

If that's true, he was the second beat wife out on the Jags. So why is he a free agent today?
Anyone help me out here?
I tried looking up beat wife on urban dictionary but none of the answers fit. -
I think Hamlin is out. Too slow.
Good chance that Hancock beats Lewis for slot/safety double duty backup.
Hardy is a dark horse here. He’s a better slot cover guy than most people think. If he can show he makes better decisions in punt return game, he might take Codringtons place.

My family moved to Buffalo (Tonawanda to be precise) in 1967, and I immediately became a Bills fan. That was a disappointing year, but I had great hopes for the 1968 season. However, Bills were down to their 5th string QB by the end of the year and finished 1-12-1.
But early in the year, I talked my father into taking me to a Bills game at the old Rockpile. We parked in some guys yard for $2, which dad declared a “ripoff”.
Game was against the NY Jets and Joe Namath. Namath was unstoppable (mostly) and threw 8 TD passes that game.
But, the Bills won 37-35. Turns out 3 of Namaths TD passes were pick 6’s.
As I recall, Jets were driving for a game winning FG as the game ended.
Only game the Bills won that year.

The Eagles did to Mahomes what the Bucs did. They both put tremendous pass rush pressure on Mahomes by rushing only 4 guys. Hopefully the offseason moves by Beane will pay off.
The eagles showed how to beat Mahomes. Press his outside receivers (so he can’t complete the quick pass) and get strong pressure with 4DL.
it’s not that Bills weren’t smart enough to figure this out. They didn’t have the players.
That’s why Bills now have 4 new CB and 6 new DL.

Yes, except it might not all come together this season. It might, if they hit on some of these rookies. It's possible that these guys they've acquired will emerge as quality starters this season, but many of them may be a year away. Which in my mind is okay - they're always building for continuous improvement. And given their draft position, they simply aren't likely to find an instant defensive stud in the draft.
There are, in my mind, two players who have the potential to cause a major turnaround on the defense: Hairston and Bosa. If Hairston can start and Bosa can be Bosa, the defense will be a lot better.
I posted this in a different thread.
eagles beat KC not because of their pass rush, but because of their corners. Against the Bills , Mahomes was getting the ball out in <2.5 sec. And completing key third downs because our corners were to far back and gave up easy quick throws. Even the best edge isn’t getting there in 2 sec.
The DL comes into play when Mahomes sees his first and second reads are covered. Now we are beyond 2.5 sec and DL can get home.
I really think press coverage couple with aggressive pass rush is how you beat Mahomes. I’m hoping to see more aggressive CB play on 3rd and short /mid this year.

Why are there two Safety slots in the poll?
When Rapp is the best player in a position group that is your weakest position.
The whole defense is in transition. As many as 12 new players were added in the draft and free agency, headlined by Bosa, White, the two suspended DL, Hairston, Sanders and Jackson. Now add Carter, Ulofoshio (sp?), Solomon, Andreessen and Bishop and Beane has basically retooled nearly the entire defense. Unless Hancock can become a starter, Beane has more work to do at Safety.
Dummy!
Dont you know that all nfl teams play with 2 safeties? If not 3.

Moore is a lot like KJ Hamler who is already on Bills practice squad.
At PSU, Hamler was both quick and fast. His biggest
problems were getting off LOS, hands, and ball tracking.
Given that he didn’t play for Bills last year, I’d guess that either injuries have hurt his speed, or that his ball skills haven’t improved.

I am not denying he is more athletic than 90% of the US population.
Will respectfully disagree on a great athlete right now.
Pretty easy to be a good pickup basketball player when you weigh as much as Shaquille O'Neal and playing against other guys 100 lbs lighter and 5 inches shorter in those playground games.
As far as playing DE in some cases, we are talking about Kentucky football and not playing Kentucky basketball competition.
Not sure about his conditioning being helped. If there are real back issues at 20 years old that is a degenerative issue or a conditioning issue.
Let's give it a year and we will see.
Like I said, I hope I am wrong.

As far as we know, you’re correct that only two people were there. And it’s possible that these two people interpreted the same series of events differently.
I do find the timing of suit filing, shortly after the guy signed a multimillion dollar contract, a little suspicious.
