  1. Probably to help mentor some younger players that they will bring next offseason. His experience will help some young kid out I'm sure.
  2. I just think he's trying to play with a really old team and halfway through the season they are tired. A lot of players don't fit the schemes and that's not his fault he inherited those players from past regimes.
  3. I don't think tanking will help build a culture. At least try to win and stay somewhat close. I don't wanna go down the Cleveland route and completely suck. At least they have kept the fans interested through what is clearly a rebuilding year.
  4. That's why a lot of people think they will replace Tyrod soon, maybe Tyrod isn't the match for the scheme that they are looking for. I don't think they really want to change schemes for players, they want players to fit the schemes. He seems to not fit.
  5. It will certainly be an interesting offseason that's for sure. It will be fun to see what they do. Lot's of action this offseason
  6. It's a rebuilding project that will take a few years. We have an old roster and these coaches inherited most of it...I just don't understand the constant turnover mindset and how it would be good for the franchise to not allow this regime to have a couple of years to build something. They haven't had a chance to get their guys on the roster? It's still been less than a year...
  7. Completely agree, most of those guys don't fit his schemes. Especially in the trenches on both sides and in the linebacker core. Tyrod needs an upgrade. Excited to see who they bring in this offseason. So many knew faces have had big impacts...Hyde, Poyer, White...so on. Hope they nail the offseason and keep improving this team their way
  8. No matter the player, I want their head in the game, not the stands.
  9. I don't know how this would work. I've never seen anyone attempt it. Teams have drafted two QBs before but not that early I don't think. My question I guess would be does overcrowding the QB position with a lot of young QBs limit their repetitions too much and hurt their development? I don't know that answer
  10. I think they are preparing for an offseason switch at QB. Or at least a near future switch and I think they've known that. Just waiting for the season to implode a little before replacing the QB. The season is doing a nice job of blowing up haha. If it continues I fully expect Peterman to be in there.
  11. It'll be interesting...I don't know if they are ready for a change yet at 5-4 still but we shall see. I wouldn't mind, Peterman may provide a spark who knows. But remember Tyrod has been a leader on offense and a player others have looked up to...may be hard to replace so quick.
  12. I think they are waiting to really suck in record before cutting the depth players to get comp picks. Otherwise you are bailing on what has been a positive season and we are still in decent position. If we start to go downhill, I expect to see more rookies like Peterman but it's just too soon. We are still in the race. I think they believe they'd be doing the organization a disservice by completely laying down.
  13. No but I don't understand why them being bad is a surprise? Everything that they've done lines up with what they have said...they want to win now as much as they can and rebuild for the future. They replace guys that didn't trust the process and didn't fit the schemes. They have more of that to do...they are rebuilding while not losing 15 games like the browns do...They have more wins then the browns have had in a few years combined and they have a lot of draft picks to add the most talent to what they want to do. Let these old vets teach the young guys some things and then let the young guys loose and let them develop. They gotta get another draft to keep flooding the roster with youth to replace the old vets. It's all a part of the rebuilding process.
  14. I read a few posts that were saying that those stats proved he could throw the ball and so on...
  15. You're mindset would've had Belichick fired before he had a chance to turn the Pats around. They were 5-11 that first year under him and then luck struck him and Tom Brady fell from the sky and played while their bridge QB got hurt...Some of the best coaches in the league don't start out with immediate success. It takes them time to implement their system and get the right players for their schemes.
  16. I am actually quite aware, we are preparing to purge the team of it's high salaries like we've been doing and replace them with young talent while continuing to open up salary cap space like they've been doing...They might get worse next year but after that I expect the young guys that fit their scheme to start winning us a lot of games. Patience my friend
  17. Okay but that makes it a bad class? I said they have been promising and you listed three guys that would be picked higher...I think that's basically the same thing. A few of those players can develop into everyday starters and graduate from their depth status. Just need some more time...
  18. They said from the beginning they aren't tanking and they aren't...they are rebuilding but not tanking. There's a difference. They can be mildly competitive and keep stacking the team with their guys. They have a lot of cap space and draft picks.
  19. So you agree they look promising and need more time to develop haha...
  20. They are building for the future not this season man...I think it's pretty clear but apparently it's not...
  21. They've played a half a year and some of them less...we can't even let our rookies develop anymore? They've flashed a little as a unit and I think they can build on that over time. They just need to be given that time...just like this coaching staff and front office...
  22. They put bandaids on some spots until they replace them in the draft. You can't overhaul a roster completely in one season. Yeah they brought in veteran leaders who won't bark at the coach because they don't like his system. It's the reason a few players are gone. Give them a chance to replace those bandaids and we will all see if they did a good job or not.
  23. Or maybe I just understand that it takes time to build a winner if the players don't fit the scheme when a new regime is hired.
  24. You're telling me he brought in the majority of this roster? You're saying Taylor wasn't here, that this aging linebacking core wasn't here, that they purposefully brought in guys that didn't fit the scheme? The guys they have brought in like Hyde and Poyer have played well for a reason...they fit the scheme. They didn't build the majority of the roster. The last front office did and they just inherited it.
