  1. He definitely wasn't lying lol. That was the date of the snow game against the Colts where you couldn't see the field and Shady ran wild. Deonte Thompson's catch from Joe Webb on 3rd and long set the stage for the OT winner. The Bills would've never broken the drought in 2017 had they not found a way to pull out that game
  2. I am aware. I actually started a lengthy thread about that matchup a while back, in particular a 3rd and long play where our undermanned secondary sat back and still allowed a long bomb to Waddle that swung the tide of the game. It was more of a discussion about Frazier and his conservative tendencies. We shall see what happens. I know I responded to your post in particular, but the content could probably be applied to a lot of different posts about the Dolphins. It just seems there is a general sense of taking Miami lightly around here, which to me is misguided. As I've stated before the Bills are going to be at a massive disadvantage in the division if they don't win in week 4. Hopefully Buffalo will take care of business and find a way to slow them down.
  3. Just figured I'd provide the tweet. Hope Cook is good
  4. And yet they still played us within 3 points every game. They're a year deeper into McDaniel's system and have shown a greater willingness and ability to run the ball when that is what defenses give them. Pass protection has been solid for them without Armstead and Mostert has been very effective. Tua was also obviously concussed in the week 3 game and threw only 18 passes. His passer ratings were 123 and 104 respectively against us, which is pretty good. I obviously believe the Bills can beat them, but let's not act like they're some mediocre team that hasn't shown the capability of hanging with us before. This reminds me of the December snow game where everyone was saying Tua can't throw in the winter elements. As I recall he played well and if not for the easy TD drop by Sherfield, Miami would have likely won that game
  5. I had the misfortune of being at that Jags game in 2021. Can't decide what was worse, Land Clark's officiating or the stupid Duuuuval chants
  6. I think it's likely we will get burned over the top by Hill or Waddle at some point. But to me that is preferable to sitting back and watching Miami complete 10-15 yard slants at will all game where Tua gets the ball out almost immediately after taking the snap
  7. Fleezoid is right. Elam actually looked good in real games last year when given the opportunity. You are not going to have a prayer of slowing Miami down playing soft. The ball is coming out too quickly and their receivers are too fast. Incorporating some press coverage, while riskier, offers a better opportunity to get home against Tua by making him hold the ball just a bit longer. We need to be physical off the line against their smaller receivers, something which Elam excels at. I'll take a few holding penalties in exchange for throwing off their timing
  8. Yeah but I'm order to do that they had to play soft coverage with 3 deep safeties and Mostert was able to run wild. I still can't forget that dude trampling us repeatedly in the snow last December
  9. Sure Allen will put up his numbers, but can we stop their offense? We better, because a loss in week 4 puts the Bills in a massive hole in the division. Assuming both teams win next week, a Bills loss to the Fins in week 4 would leave Miami 4-0 (2-0 AFC East) and us 2-2 (0-2 AFC East). They would have essentially a 3 game lead with the head to head, which will be very hard to dig out of given the second half of our schedule is much more challenging than the first. And before we say look at last year, the largest deficit the Bills faced at any point (with tiebreakers) was 2 games. The Bills got back into it quickly because Tua got hurt against Cincinnati. If he stays healthy (and I realize its a big if), I'm not sure I like our chances to win the division. Week 4 is pretty close to a must win for the Bills imo
  10. There's plenty of reason to be concerned about Miami. Their offense looks like the best in the league. They've won 2 consecutive road games without playing Armstead, and that Oline which was supposed to be a weakness has looked reasonably good in his absence. The defense under Fangio should figure to be improved over the course of the year. Have you looked at their schedule the next few weeks? They get Denver at home, at Buffalo, then home against the Giants (without Barkley who is out 3 weeks) and the Panthers. If the Bills don't beat them, the Dolphins are looking at 6-0. Not sure why people underestimate them. They were always the bigger threat to the Bills than the Jets. Unlike New York, they also have a competent coaching staff
  11. Brilliant play calling by the chinhole
  12. I'm almost there lol. Fins are going to be a major problem. Don't even want to think about the ramifications of a loss in that week 4 game. Ouch
  13. Not me. Whatever helps the Bills more is the only thing that matters
  14. Just an alert, the Dolphins are a far bigger threat to the Bills than the Pats. If Miami wins tonight they will be 3-0 going into the Bills game (they play Denver at home next week). That game will then be a must win for Buffalo to avoid falling way behind in the division. Rooting for the Dolphins tonight is just plain stupid
  15. Damn. Moved the ball decently on both of their possessions so far and have zero to show for it
  16. I love the morbidity in this thread
  17. Would've loved to see Denver pull off a miracle. Could have been a major downer for Washington going into next week. Oh well
  18. That game next week won't be a gimme. Should be a win, but better come ready to play. They have some pretty good weapons on offense too
  19. Dallas sure isn't having a problem moving the ball against the Jets
