The annual QB tier rankings from The Athletic
buffblue replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
True, but he also is guilty of holding the ball too long at times. The guy takes a significantly higher amount of sacks relative to the other 3. I feel like Burrow lives off the Bengals 2021 Super Bowl run which was predominantly a result of their defense. His numbers were pedestrian, and I don't care how weak your offensive line is - you can't take 9 sacks in a playoff game like he did against the Titans that year and get away with it, unless your defense is balling out. -
The annual QB tier rankings from The Athletic

To me the most honest ranking includes a) Recognition that Josh/Lamar/Mahomes are the top 3 QBs regardless of order AND b) Burrow is the distant #4 BUT still clearly better than anyone in the league other than the big 3 -
None, or as little as possible. 2-3 series apiece for starting offense and defense in the Bears game and then bubble wrap them
-
I don't quite see it that way. Torrance was not bad last year but if there was a weak link on the starting five he was it. And I realize Van Pran Granger is in the picture but he is a completely unproven entity at this point.
-
If this is how everything played out I'd be good. 12-13 mil is steep for Cook but on the high end of reasonable as he is such an important piece for our offense. I like Ray Davis as much as anyone but he does not bring the explosive element of Jimbo. McGovern is a priority, and Torrance will likely take precedence over Edwards.

That's too rich for my blood. As good as Parsons is, he can go stretches where he disappears and gets handled by guys he should dominate. The Bills would have a large chunk of money tied up in one position and compromised draft capital at a time when they're already paying the franchise QB a large sum of money. Not a good recipe imo
-
McLaurin can run a full route tree and has produced with garbage at qb and no other weapons around him. Metcalf is a one trick pony who played with near prime Russell Wilson and was complemented by a solid number 2 option in Lockett.
-
33 mil would put him 4th after Chase, Jefferson, and Lamb. He would be tied with Metcalf in AAS who he is clearly superior to. And he would be above Brown (Det), Brown (Phi), Aiyuk, and Higgins - 2 of which is he is better than and 2 of which he isn't. It is a perfectly reasonable request.
-
He's vastly underpaid imo. I don't think he is a malcontent - would you be knocking down the doors for a big contract with the trash he played with early in his career? Now he sees an opportunity to win with Daniels and cash in at the same time, which is richly deserved based off his performance.
-
He is definitely worth that to Washington right now, and he's a better player than Metcalf anyways
-
Somewhere in between most likely
-
They have to come to an agreement. Why would Washington make so many aggressive moves to compete on Daniels' rookie contract only to let his star WR exit? It would be truly stupid if the Commanders don't find a way to make a deal with McLaurin. He's worth at least 30 mil and they can afford it - slot him in above Aiyuk's and below Wilson's contracts and move on. What an unnecessary distraction for them.

I hope Milano can stay healthy. His football skills have not diminished imo - it's just the usual durability questions. If this is his last season with Buffalo, let him go out with a bang. He was arguably the Bills' best defender in the playoffs last year and is such a difference maker for us.

Because he had a nice notebook

Shaun Dolac making an impact already at Rams camp
buffblue replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
He should have been drafted by somebody, especially after his pro day. There is not a single thing surprising about this. The Rams got a hell of a player -
To illustrate your point, the most expensive home sale in Buffalo's history just occurred a few days ago at 3.5 mil. I live in the Charlotte area and a listing like Shaq's is not out of the ordinary. The amount of wealth in the city is obscene. I unfortunately do not fall into that group lol

Always look forward to these

ESPN acquiring the NFL Network and the NFL Redzone

Hopefully Maurice Jones-Drew will become unemployed -
I just received my August 2025-July 2026 Bills Digest calendar and Ray Davis was the feature player for the first month. The writing is on the wall for Jimbo

Title is confusing. It's like asking when does my hair go out when I go bald

Has Main and Hamlin surpassed Bar Bill in your opinion? I've heard that from numerous people. I was at Bar Bill last in 2022 and it was still outstanding then.

Predict Most improved/Most likely to regress
buffblue replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's interesting so many are saying Milano. He looked very good in the last game of the year against KC. The speed and pursuit he showed to haul down Mahomes on that 3rd down play in the 3rd quarter was vintage. Injuries of course are a big concern, but IF he can stay healthy I don't think he has lost his ability to play at a high level just yet. -
Damar....unfortunately. I don't think I'll ever get the memory of the abuse he took in the AFC Championship game out of my head. He was incomprehensibly bad against KC. The only thing that may obscure that fact to the powers that be is that Elam was somehow even worse
