  1. No, I'm not. What does that have to do with anything?
  2. It's not another possession, it's another play with a shot at keeping possession if they convert. So just because they are losing they shouldn't get the chance to gain 15 yards on another play? Under that logic it makes no sense to even let them attempt an onside kick now because technically that gives them another chance at recovery and maintaining possession. Maybe the winning team should stop them on defense. It adds more excitement to the game. I don't know about you, but onside kicks are boring as hell to me unless it's a surprise onside and with the low recovery rate and all this preaching about player safety, eliminating it is the better option
  3. Asinine? Really? I think people pretty much shut down any rule that the NFL tries proposing simply because they are afraid of change. There is nothing asinine about a 4th and 15 play
  4. But how often are 4th and longs converted? Who cares if people already see it. It's better option than the onside kick now
  5. A 4th and 15 while not as hard to convert as an onside kick, is pretty much a long shot also
  6. No a surprise onside could still apply with this option but it would eliminate onside kicks in the obvious situations and replace them with a 4th and 15 instead
  7. Well they could just simply make it a do over instead of penalizing for the yardage on that one play. Or move them to the spot of the foul if it's a pass interference but they still only have one chance to get a first down after the call is made
  8. Since the onside kick has become a near impossibility for the kicking team to recover, unless it's a surprise onside. They need to put in a rule that eliminates the onside kick and replace it with a 4th and 15. If a team scores they would have the option of kicking the ball off or having a 4th and 15 at their own 35 yard line. If they get the first down the drive keeps going like normal. If they fall short, the other team takes over where they missed from. They can even make it more interesting and make it to where each team only gets two 4th and 15's a game. This would be way better than doing an onside kick which has become nearly impossible for the kicking team to recover. Would anyone be on board with this? It's actually something Steve Tasker said that the NFL Competition committee has had discussions about in the past
  9. Honestly, looking at our opponents this year, I don't see how playoffs isn't a possibility. Outside of two guaranteed losses to the Patriots I think every game is winnable.
  10. The Vikings only have about $2 million in cap space. That might be why
  11. There was actually something on twitter about how the Redskins were trying to trade for a big name receiver and they thought it was possibly AJ Green. Diggs was actually one of the guys I thought about after the Antonio Brown thing. Beane should call to see if there is any truth to him being shopped
  12. Did we even interview him at the combine? I know there were 2 or 3 TEs that we met with and neither him or Fant were one of them. They could bring one or both in for pre draft visits but if they don't I think it's a good indication that we will going TE later in the draft
  13. Kelvin Benjamin has never been at the level of Jordy. Jordy's highlight video showed separation and times when he was on an island by himself when get caught the ball. Kelvin Benjamin never got open like that. He had 63 catches last year and a couple 8 or 9 catch games
  14. Yep. Looks done
  15. Did you actually watch any of his Raiders highlights last year? Go on youtube and look at his 2018 highlights. He had no issue getting open at all
  16. I wouldn't mind bringing him in on a one year deal. Good lockerroom guy to have. Obviously not what he once was but just two seasons ago he was still Aaron Rodgers favorite target. Why not?
  17. "Why are we doing this? We're a year away from a move like this" ? This is the mindset of some people around here. Screw that. Go get him if you can
  18. We got Cole Beasley, we got John Brown. I don't care. Call the Falcons and Bengals try to get Julio or AJ here. We have already beefed up the oline and you want to surround Allen with weapons then go all out. Go get them Beane
  19. The other thing to think about also is those players were never really on the field at the same time. Some times they were but as good as the RBs were they were not at the level of Shady or Le'Veon. Shady is a HOF RB and Le'Veon is on pace to the same thing.
  20. They had nothing to do with why we were a bad team those years. They were all actually really good players
  21. How sick would a 3 headed monster of Bell, Shady in his last year and Gore to carry the backfield. More than likely if we sign bell then we are trading or cutting Shady but imagine what having Shady and Bell would do if they had multiple formations of being on the field at the same time
  22. The one thing I will say about this signing is that Gore is a major leader in the lockerroom. It's a good guy to have for our young guys and honestly, the guy ran for 722 yards last year on just 156 carries. Almost 5 yds a carry. As long as we part ways with Ivory, I'm ok with this signing
  23. It usually takes rookie receivers 2 or 3 years to finally find their groove though. This team can't afford that. This offense needs playmakers. Get Green and still draft your receiver that way if we release Green after 3 years, the rookie should be ready to by then if he pans out
