It's a tough call. It's Thompson or Ross. I feel like Ross is more boom or bust and Thompson is much safer without the upside potential of Ross. Are you favored this week, will it be a close match or is one of you expected to blow out the other?

As of right now I'm projected to lose by 12 so not necessarily a blow out but a decent margin. The thing that scares me about Chris Thompson is he is just coming back from a bad injury and I'm worried they may ease him back in. John Ross I think is primed for a break out season and his matchup this week looks great on paper

I think Alfred Morris is going to play a big role in the 49ers offense.  I think he’s a strong flex play until proven otherwise.  He may even be a sound RB2 down the road, as he will get all the goalline touches in a good offense.

This is a good point. That Minnesota defense is the one thing that has me hesitating with him this week

  2. I drafted Jerick McKinnon to be my full time flex guy but that went out the window 10 minutes after my draft was over. I currently have Jordy Nelson there now but I don't like his matchup this week against the Rams. I picked up John Ross out of free agency and actually feel really good about his matchup this week. I'm thinking of playing John Ross here but was wondering what everyone here's opinion would be.

Other options for the flex spot:

    Chris Thompson

    Pierre Garcon

    Rashaad Penny

    Paul Richardson

    Alfred Morris

    Matt Breida

It is a PPR league so I'm thinking Chris Thompson might be good to

I'm with you. I found it to be rather puzzling with Allen trying to show his stuff.

During the game I didn't have an issue with it because I figured he was doing more along the line of what I thought but if that was their plan going in then yes, it is truly puzzling

I still don’t understand why he would mix and match the oline the first time Allen got time with the 1s. It’s bad coaching or some nutty ass trial by fire, hope you fail so I can start Nate again and prove I wasn’t a fool last year.

The reason why he was doing it was because you could see early on that the offensive line was having issues with pass protection so he was simply moving people around and substituting people in and out to find the right combination.

  5. I seriously think the olineman we have just aren't giving enough effort because it's preseason. People were saying the same thing last year and lots have been saying it year after year bur then when we got to the regular season it's nowhere near as bad as it looks. I think people are more overreacting than anything. Charles Clay has been a good tight end for us and today he drops a couple passes and people are talking about how horrible he is. Other people saying "this D is terrible". It's the same damn defense as last year give or take a few new bodies. Someone actually posted something earlier about how bad Brandon Beane is because he's given away a lot of our talent. Now granted, he has pretty much neglected the oline but calm down. Every year we hear " it's gonna be a ling season behind this oline" and every year it's not as bad as it looked in the preseason. Let's just see what happens when the season starts first
