  1. I commented in the Pats vs Titans game post how Ron Torbert the head referee in that game, is the Vice President of the legal team for Barton Malow which is the company that was the project manager in the building of Gillette Stadium. This means that Robert Kraft paid this company money which Ron Torbert has a Vice President title to to have Gillette Stadium built. Some people didn't believe me or thought there was no way it could be true. I have posted the two links below, one that shows he is Vice President if you scroll down a bit and the other is a wikipedia page for Gillette Stadium which shows Barton Malow as project manager. This is a clear conflict of interest if you ask me. I don't know how this guy could be allowed to ref a Pats game much less a Pats playoff game

I see he's VP and focuses on contract review and litigation, but there was no mention of any Gillette Stadium contract.  Not saying you're making things up, just that I haven't seen anything that specifically points to a possible conflict of interest.  There are many refs who I'd wonder about conflict of interest based on calls made during Patriot games.

Look up who built Gillette stadium. It's Barton Malow, the company that he is Vice President of their legal department for

Here are some other Ideas right now

    Ben McAdoo

    Mike McCoy

Rob Chudzinski (if fired with new HC)

Norv Turner (if he wants to coach again)

    Marc Trestmen

    Chan Gailey

Joe Philbin (if fired with new HC in Indy)

    Wade Wilson

Alex Van Pelt (now that more seasoned)

    Ken Dorsey

    my other Favorite is

John Deflippo - QBs he has developed Carr (in Oak) and now Wentz. Also has been an OC before with Pettine in CLE (their offense was pretty good with nada)

How about Jim Bob Cooter if he isn't retained by Detroit?

Tyrod is most of the reason why we look like crap on offense. He’s terrible. He cannot find open receivers. He cannot pull the trigger on deep or contested balls.

A lot of the play play calls aren’t terrible. It’s Tyrod checking down to Tolbert and Anything 3 yards in front of him when he has multiple options downfield.

I agree with Tyrod being a big part of it. It's the running of Tolbert on 2nd and 15 I don't understand lol

I’d rather just worry about finding a list of any qb that can throw more than 5 yards downfield. Throw to open receivers. Throw to receivers in the run. Not check down to Mike Tolbert or Pat DiMarco. And one that understands he has the ability to run for first downs when things break down but actually take off and not get sacked.

Im not saying Dennison is great, but let’s see what we have in even a decent QB before we throw Dennison away. Tyrod missed a crap ton of throws today.

I agree with the QB argument. I just worry that it won't matter with Dennison as a coordinator. I don't trust him developing a rookie or even excelling with a veteran

We had ties to Mike McCoy, he's available. Possibly Jim Caldwell as well

It's not dumb at all and I'm not going to defend a point i wasn't making. I didn't say anything about Rivers or Brees or make this point about them for a reason. The saints have been a mess for the last few years before this year, the LA has been a mess too. They both also play in tougher divisions.

There is absolutely a point in talking about how they went 7-9. The guy is getting franchise money and the team can no longer afford to surround him with the talent they could when he was on that rookie deal. If you're getting 30 mil, you better be able to carry a team in an average to below average division to the playoffs. You're making this point like Tyrod is sitting here surrounded by talent when the teams are pretty similar in talent level. But people don't want to pay Tyrod 18 mil or whatever. If you don't want to pay him 18, which I respect, I would think you wouldn't want to give cousins 30. Again, you can talk about who can make what throws. Go look at the QBR, me saying Cousins is even a little better is being generous to you. And even then, he's not worth 30 million dollars. There's no consistency in want to pay cousins that money but Taylor not 18.

I understand you didn't bring up Brees and Rivers but I don't know how you can say it's completely irrelevent to bring them up when your saying that Cousins went 7-9 in a down year in his division as if the 7-9 record is a reason to not bring him on board.

I brought up Brees and Rivers to say that the 7-9 argument is stupid when Brees and Rivers haven't done much better the past few seasons either yet they put up much better stats than he did.

The entire AFC West had a down year to but Philip Rivers, who's much better wasn't able to do any better than 9-7 and second place in his division.

I never said anything about Drew Brees or Philip Rivers. To put Kirk Cousins in their class is laughable, it's also completely irrelevant. Im not sure whay point you are tired of making and i dont care to hear it, so spare us all the time, because it wasnt the point i made at all.

Look at QBR this year and see who's is better?

I'm not opposed to upgrading from Taylor but cousins isn't an upgrade at all and has not done more with less. For every weapon you say Kirk has lost I can match with one this team has lost. You say Jay Gruden isn't a great coach and I don't disagree, Dennison and McDermott aren't offensive geniuses either.

Yet Tyrods got a 53 QBR in a scheme that doesn't suit him and Kirk has a 52 QBR. But I'll assume you don't like that point either because it doesn't fit in with paying a mediocre QB 30 mil a year.

    Cousins is not good.

The point I'm trying to make is you were basically trying to say that with Cousins the Redskins went 7-9 like it was completely his fault that that happened. You're right, Cousins isn't in Brees's or Philip Rivers class but that just makes your argument even dumber because they are better QBs yet they haven't made the playoffs in the past few years as well, yet I'm willing to bet you would take either one of them on our team.

Cousins is better than Tyrod. He can make throws that Tyrod can only dream of making. There is just no point in saying that one of the reasons we shouldn't go after Cousins is because the Redskins went 7-9 with him.

Can anyone explain to me how this guy is proven?

He's been surrounded by better skill position guys, and the defense looked good this year before injuries and went 7-9 in an average division, much like ours.

I'm fine from moving on from Tyrod, but for a cap hit of Cousins with his performance. No thanks. Especially all you people who were happy with shedding money to spend it on this.

I want no part of Cousins. I'd rather take a chance on a QB in the draft. Anyone can go 7-9. we watched that for like 8 out of 17 years.

    Umm... I take the money.

You speak like you know more than anyone else, when you don't.

I'm so tired of people bringing this point up. They act like the QB is the whole team. The Redskins don't have the best defense in the world and don't really have the best coaching staff. I mean how good is Jay Gruden really? Cousins has actually lost some talent this past season. Pierre Garcon left, DeSean Jackson left, Jordan Reed missed majority of the season and he hasn't really had a running game to take take the pressure off.

Drew Brees and the Saints have been mediocre the past few seasons until this season going 7-9 and 8-8 a few times but Brees has always put up pro bowl numbers. The Saints have finally fixed their D which is why they have been more successful this season not to mention their running game has been better than in years past as well.

When was the last time the Chargers made the playoffs? Yet they have a borderline HOF QB in Philip Rivers.

It's not Cousins why the Redskins are a mediocre team. Cousins is worlds better than Tyrod

And yes the 18 year curse was lifted.

The Bills won the tie-breakers and we're in the playoffs with the best possible first round opponent (something I predicted btw).

The point is (and I keep repeating) is that this is pretty much the same records as 2014-2016, so quit thinking this coaching staff & HO turned water into wine.

What it did do was create such low expectations that some consider it a miracle.

What was miraculous was winning 6 games where the opposition had the ball at the end of the game with a chance to win & the Bills winning each and every time.

I am as excited as anyone that they are in the playoffs and planning my Sunday, but I am not getting ahead of myself and anointing this coaching staff as an all time great.

However I am a fan and don't get stuck on the minutiae wrt to drafts, schemes and philosophy.

It is quite simple for us fans.  If a team is 8-8 for 3 seasons in a row, you look at it and say 2 more wins and you're in the playoffs.  I look at the skill positions and how they are utilized (and yes was pissed at Watkins, the trade and not targeting him enough).  I thought better coaching and tweaks to properly utilize Taylor and we'd see a huge improvement.

On the defensive side, it did not take much to see that they were undisciplined, took way too many penalties, and disorganized under Rex, which could be fixed easily to the point they would be competent.

So as said I will be here and cheering Sunday & hopefully beyond & will leave shortly thereafter while you argue about the draft, personnel moves & free agency.

I will return when Sammy signs and when a decision is made on Tyrod.

Again would we fans be so excited if they went 8-8, or 8-7-1 (as McDermott tried vs. Indy) and no playoffs.

It is the Playoffs that has created this euphoria, not a record that matches those the prior 3 years......

    Flame away!!!!!

There is always one person that just can't be happy
