Green has played 8 seasons, and his highest catch rate is 66%. That would be the worst of Diggs’s career excluding his rookie season. Diggs has a catch rate of 68.4% for his career compared to Green’s 58.7%. They have an identical 8.7 yards per target for their careers. If Green is better, it’s not by much and that’s if he’s healthy.
I'm not talking about catch radius, I'm talking about production on a game to game basis. Diggs disappears for multiple games at a time frequently. Green might have a bad game here and there but is all around more consistent. AJ Green when completely healthy can be a top 5 receiver. Diggs at his best right now is maybe between 10-15

Did you even read the OP? I said if the board falls in a terrible way and there are no edge or Top WRs if would be something to consider
Like plan F
And I'm pretty sure the Redskins whipped our Ass in the SB because the Hogs upfront
And because Levy got outcoached just like in every other super bowl and the team partied their tails off too much the night before the games. I'm sure that had a lot to do with it as well

Cesar Ruiz ( Interior lineman Michigan)
A non redshirt at a major school on the offensive line is not the norm, but Cesar Ruiz was able to come into UM and give them time right away
the #1 center prospect in the country 3 years ago has been nothing but advertised for the wolverines
He uses great size with mobility and power and is great at pulling. Has a mean streak and plays through the whistle
and has guard /center flexibility for the NFL which our team covets

Lance Zeirlein report. Compares to James Daniels

Marino Eric Wood comp
i think he's a top 25 player in the draft when all is said and done and in such a deep Wr class we can get a good target like Justin Jefferson round 2 while adding a huge key to the line
His linemate Bredeson is a projected top 2 round pick and Kiper calls him the best guard in the draft... I think Ruiz is better
I have always been a big believer of building from the inside out.. on both sides
Is this an unorthodox pick? Probably but I'm not picking for the Bills and I see a stud G/C for years. He can even move over when Morse is gone
I want no part of an olineman in the first round. I want to add the best skill player we can get whether that be a pass rusher or WR, hell I'll even take a LB or #2 DB to pair next to Tre' White. Those positions are gonna get us closer to a Super Bowl this season than a lineman will

and Green doesn't get hurt too much? Diggs has missed 4 games over the last 3 seasons....I don't think he gets hurt too much
It seems like Diggs has been more hurt than that and missed more games but either way Diggs is also a lot more inconsistent than Green is.

I'd be into AJ Green 5 years ago. But now... tough one. IMO, he will be completely ineffective and if he takes the right hit could even be a mid-season retire.
I disagree. I think he's ready for a 1200 yard season and I want it to be our football team

I am not so sure I want expanded playoffs. I don't want the NFL to become like the NHL/NBA with how many teams make the playoffs. What are we going to have a 6-10 team making the playoffs. I mean 6-11 if they have a 17 game season. Keep it at 16 games and don't add more playoff teams. JMHO!!!
I read somewhere that they just want to add one extra team in each conference. So, instead of being 6 teams in each conference, it would be 7 and only the top team would get a bye instead of the top 2

I don't think we're going to get AJ Green on either of those things (1 year prove-it deal, or cheap)
We most certainly should draft another WR and I hope we don't wait until the bottom of the 3rd round. Heck draft 2
I would love either one. I'm concerned that the Olsen thing means Beane just isn't thinking in those terms.
We need a DE and an upgrade on OL IMO.
I disagree about the AJ Green thing. I can't see any team with Green's age and injury history giving him a huge contract or big money. He might be able to fetch a 2 year deal from some team but I don't see anything more than that.
-
Mine are AJ Green on a one year prove it deal if we can get him for cheap and then draft another WR in the draft
The other would have to be either Austin Hooper or Hunter Henry. I think if we get either one of these guys and can get AJ Green to go along with it, this will put our offense over the top
Get these guys and focus on the draft and we are a legit contender

Assuming you keep the 16 game schedule here is my proposal:
Each conference team plays every conference team once. That equals 15 of the 16 games.
The 16th game can be multiple formats: 1) Chose prior to the season based on finish the prior year and played vs an NFL team. 2) Flex game played as the last game of the year and can be based on current record. Best record plays worst record - 1 plays 16 down to 8 plays 9.
Benefits I see is the removes the SOS aspect and luck of playing certain teams as all teams basically play all the same teams. Think it will help with the week 16 play to make the playoffs scenarios as the bubble teams would be the 4-10 ranked teams and may have more to play for. Super bowl could likely be two teams that have not seen each other.
Downside is you lose some of the in division rivalry and tradition. Travel to away games may be less exciting.
Thoughts
I have always thought that they should make the division opponents stay the same. You play them twice but instead of playing one whole other division in your conference, each team depending on where they finish would play either the top two teams or bottom two teams in each of the other divisions. So, for instance, the Bills finished 2nd in the AFC East so they would play the top two teams in each of the North, South and West Divisions. The bottom two teams like the Jets and Dolphins would play the bottom two teams in each of the North South and West divisions.
As far as NFC opponents, instead of playing one whole NFC division like they do now, do pretty much the same thing as with the AFC conference. Only instead of the top two teams in each division of the NFC, each team would just play the same place finisher in each NFC division. So, the Bills being in 2nd place in the AFC East eould play the 2nd place Finisher in each of the NFC East, North, South and West. This would make the schedule much more interesting and more even in my opinion

Diggs is kinda overrated to me. He disappears for a few games at a time and gets hurt too much. I'd rather sign AJ Green for a year without giving up a pick and still draft a WR in one of the first 3 rounds

I actually think Diggs is somewhat overrated. He'll have a huge week and then completely disappear for 3 or 4 games and then play well for 2 weeks and then quiet for another 2. Plus, he gets hurt all the time

I wouldn't mind it if they did it but they can fix this problem themselves by just simply scheduling better matchups. There were some teams that got Monday night games last year and I'm not sure what the schedule makers were thinking. Schedule better matchups and there's no need to flex

I'm only 33 so I can't really name anything before I was born as far as what the worst things this franchise did were but one of the things that sticks out to me since I've been a fan whch has been since I was 6 (the year we went to the 3rd Super Bowl against Dallas) was the hiring of Dick Jauron as head coach. That was something I never understood. As bad as the Rex Ryan hire was, Dick Jauron for me was ridiculously stupid.
Keeping and starting Rob Johnson over Flutie is another thing that I think was the worst.
I also will never understand the trade up for Sammy Watkins either when we could have had Khalil Mack who was right in our own back yard.

He spent money in the 70s and 80s built a world champ in the 60s
You don't know what your talking about cheap owners DON'T go to the HoF
Ok. How much did it cost for players in the 60's and 70's? A hell of a lot less than it has in the last 20 years. He had good players back then just like he did in the 90's because of the team that Bill Polian put together. Part of the reason Ralph is in tbe hall is because he is one of the original AFL owners and left his mark on this league. If you look at the 54 years or so that he was an owner, the Bills were only relevant in like 18 of those seasons with 10 of them being between 88-99. There were a lot of bad Bills teams in the 70's and early 80's as well as his last 15 years of owning the team from 00-14. It has been said that Ralph was notoriously cheap for payijg players. How many times did we let great players walk with him as owner because he didn't want to pay them. Just because he is in the Hall doesn't mean he wasn't cheap. He's in the hall because of what the Bills did in the 90's and the fact that he is an original AFL owner and had a big part on the game that way

Ralph was so cheap he made OJ Simpson the highest paid player in the 70s
Jimbo the highest paid in the 80s.
The early 90s Bills were called the million dollar bills because how much money Ralph threw around
In the 2000s he made Derrick Dockery the 3rd highest paid guard OF ALL TIME
He gave Mario 100 million
He have Dareus 100 million
You have no clue about cheap and you should feel bad for bashing the SINGLE PERSON who kept us here for 50+ years
Bill Polian is why he spent the money he did back in the late 80's and early 90's. I saw something somewhere where Polian said he basically told Ralph to let him spend the money he needed or he was gonna walk. The Mario Williams thing was just to sell tickets. I wouldn't call spending on a few players outside of the 90's years as him not being cheap. He definitely was

I say yes but I have no idea what compensation they would want.
I would love it but I bet AJGreen still gets 10 million guaranteed at least.
I think that's possible but with his age and injury history, especially coming off a year where he sat out the whole season, I can't see any team wanting to pay him anything more than $5-7 million at most for one year. I would still be comfortable with the $6-7 million range for one season. He may be willing to take even less playing for a legit contender which I think we can be next season
-
AJ Green on a one year contract for anywhere between $1-5 million. See what he can do. If he gets hurt, who cares? You have him for one year and aren't spending anything more than few million. Draft another guy in the draft. And I like our WR core
John Brown
Cole Beasley
AJ Green
Rookie
Duke Williams
Isaiah McKenzie
Sounds good to me

Do they have to host?
That's how it's been every year but one which was the year after the Ravens beat the 49ers. The Ravens ended up going to Denver to play the Broncos. The only reason why they did that was because the Orioles had a game the same night and apparently share the same parking lot or something with the Ravens and the Orioles refused to move their game so the Ravens were forced to play in Denver

I actually made a post last year about how I thought the day after the Super Bowl should be considered a holiday called "Super Monday" since most people seem to call off work the day after the Super Bowl anyway and most companies end up losing a lot of money because of it. I got reemed by people on here saying that that was a bad idea because holidays should only be for things that mean something to the country as if we don't have enough holidays like that already. I'm all for moving it to a Saturday as well. I always take a vacation day the day after but would prefer to have the day off without having to blow a vacation day.

The Rooney Rule is stupid anyway. Just because teams have to interview a minority candidate doesn't mean that they have to hire them. It's also not fair to the minority candidate basically getting a potential "fake" interview just to meet a requirement. I get why they do it but it's stupid

And he was 14-6 with QBs not named Brady (Cassell, Jimmy, Jacoby). Bill Bellyache is the driving force. If they run off Tommy as I suspect, they'll get someone like Bridgewater or Eli Manning or Ryan Tannehill and the train keeps rolling. Even if Tommy does leave I suspect it rolls on until Bill retires and the cheating stops or at least the new coach is not as good at it.
Technically, his record is a lot worse than that if you go back to his Cleveland days
