We are getting younger and faster not older and slower.
On a one year deal though. What's the harm?

We still need receiver help. I know he didn't have the greatest year last year but why not see if we could get him in here on a one year deal?

There are still lots of good names available. We have to take a shot at one of these guys. There is no way they can be ok with what they have. I have always felt like outside of QB that the #2 receiver spot has always been another spot we've seemed to keep neglecting every year

I thought they had around $20 million prior to trading Tyrod. They saved $10 million by the Tyrod trade and then however much they saved by trading Cordy. So it's gotta be higher than we think

I liked him coming out of college. My problem with him is you never know which Carlos is going to show up on a weekly basis.
As a former Carlos Hyde fantasy owner. I know what you mean

I was hoping to go after Allen Robinson and Paul Richardson in free agency but now both are gone. It's not a very good draft class for WRs. I don't wanna hear they are comfortable with the guys they have because I'm not lol

Because he sucks
-
Why the hell would you want Joe Flacco?

This just in: He will only sign if Beane is able to say his name 10 times really fast

Who the hell is Damon Harrison?

Didn't he have some say on Andre and Bruce?

Stevie was drafted in 1996? Lol

I remember Wes Welker saying the same thing a few years back when he went to Denver. He said he never had a whole lot of fun playing for them and he enjoyed playing for Denver more. I also remember Reggie Wayne saying that as well when he got cut after a preseason with New England right before he retired

For the love of God, we are not getting Jimmy G. San Francisco is not letting him go
-
He was on GMFB this morning and he currently isn't on a team and it got me thinking, since Eric Wood's career is over with, why not bring in Mangold to be a bridge center for a couple years? I get he is older but he was also one of the top centers in the NFL for pretty much his entire career

This was never an 11-5 or 12-4 team.
They had a bad DVOA and one of the worst point differentials to ever make the playoffs
I think you're wrong here. We won 9 games with what we had. We easily get about 2 extra wins with Cousins

The Patriots vs Seahawks Super Bowl has probably been the Super Bowl I've cared the least for so far but this one is up there as well

My gut tells me it's Charles Clay. He would be a game changing tight end if we had a damn QB. I do think Clay would be a big loss if we were going after someone like Alex Smith

We had this argument in another thread, but the reason they haven't switched that rule is NFL QB's are incredibly accurate compared to most college QB's. If an NFL WR blows buy you your only choice would be to dive and take out their legs knowing it's only a 15 yard penalty.
I honestly don't think that would be an issue. Those 15 yard penalties will add up to
-
This is all the more reason why I don't like defensive PI being a spot foul. Just throw it up 50 yards down the field into double coverage and get the penalty. Do the college rule 15 yards. It works fine in college why wouldn't it work fine in the nfl

This past season was a great success due to McDermott's ability to pull some rabbits out of the hat. Creating something out of nothing.
I know everyone's congratulating the coaching and management for the success. But let's reflect on what contributed to that success. What did Beane add to that team? His biggest free agency signing - was Anquan Boldin. Who contributed ZERO catches to the team's 31st ranked passing offense.
His biggest trade acquisition was - Kelvin Benjamin. Who provided 16 catches for the 31st ranked passing offense. Essentially, Beane had ZERO POSITIVE IMPACT for 2017.
Beane will have to prove his worth, and earn some of the accolades he's gotten undeservedly from this past season. As a famous football movie said, "SHOW ME THE MONEY".
I'm waiting.
You realize that Kelvin Benjamin has to get thrown the ball and was hurt pretty much his whole time here right? Also, we had a crap offensive coordinator that has been fired. I think Beane has done fairly well his first year
-
I've always said that PI should be just 15 yards like it is in college. If they keep it a spot foul then it should be challengable.

All we have to do now is find someone to throw Daboll and we'll be in business

With Ritchie Retiring, is the Season Over?

Is the season over because an offensive lineman retired? No, not even close
