Until I hear him say out loud "13 seconds was my fault, I got tight and made a mistake" I will never believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

Because every coach in the league would admit that?

He's just saying what we want to hear.

Kinda like when my friends tell me  how good looking and incredible I am when women turn my down for dates

I’ve said it many times on here. I believe McDs heart is in the right place but he keeps failing in the critical moments year after year. It’s just possible that he’s plateaued at the playoff contender level we’ve all witnessed. Good, of course, but not great. You eventually run out of seasons and excuses for failing to get over the hump. And, I have no idea why the fake punt even enters the conversation. It had NOTHING to do with why they lost that game. So I’ll continue to cheer like crazy as I have for the last 60 seasons but I don’t sense that the current brain trust is ascending towards anything much more than we’ve seen over the past few years. Again, really good, and very fun, but not great.

Well, it is the thought that counts

  3. This also just in. The NFL has received numerous letters from Chiefs, Dolphins, and Steelers fans complaining about how the OT playoff rules changing, and the Steelers vs Bills playoff game being moved due to being "cold", are now saying the 12 million dollar increase over salary cap expectations is to help the Bills because Allen can't win the big one and they are sick of the Buffalo favoritism. More on this story as it develops

Point taken but MvcDermott is not on the same planet with Reid, and never will be.

Many argue with me which is great, but my contention is that McDermott is a so-so coach and has far too much power wrt the draft and free agency.

Reid is definitely the better coach. I agree there

I’ll give you Milano  whom I overlooked given his absence … let’s hope he makes a full recovery by Week 1 next season and is backto his best…superstars show up in the playoffs so Oliver is out, although he had his best year so maybe he is still ascending  …  Bernard might get there one day soon … Douglas is a fine player but not elite

I saw no difference between Douglas this season and early career Tre White. Douglas had like 5 INTs after the trade to us. He is pretty close to elite. But every team only has 2 maybe 3 true elite players. The Chiefs just have a top 3 all time HC coaching them

Our mate from Kansas City that posts here did make a good point the other day…

Outside the QB … is there another superstar on this Bills team ?

KC has a couple …including Chris Jones who I think is the most valuable defensive player in the game at present …

They got 2 great CBs ( better than anything we got) … superior interior OL ( that handled Oliver with ease… ) and Kelce on the decline but still a big game winner …

Bills have got a lot of “above average “ players … but not too many game winners outside JA..

I mean there's Milano when healthy. Terrell Bernard. Ed Oliver played at an elite level this season. Rasul Douglas. Those are more than just above average guys

We did or didn't. Tired of the hypotheticals on why we didn't. Our entire forum is hypotheticals on why we didn't. Meanwhile Mahomes and KC had it's own 13 seconds in 2018 vs the Patriots we never heard about it again. Go figure.

You're saying he has to score on that drive. The pass he tries score on, he gets bumped as he throws it, otherwise it's a catch. He only had one other down after that to get a TD before the field goal. Like seriously, how do you put that on Allen at all?

I’m not talking about 13 seconds. He most certainly did anything a player could do in that game. I’m talking about the playoff game against KC.

Any hall of fame QB in history will take the ball in that situation. So when you say he did all he could do, sorry but he needs to score on that drive. He had the chances. In addition to nearly not having a chance with the fumble. I don’t expect you to agree. That’s fine.

Well, he got hit throwing to Shakir so......

In whatever place these freakozoid athletes get to mentally, Allen has no choice but to get there with them. Jordan has it, Tiger has it, Nicklaus had it, Brady and Montana had it. I’m sure Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio had it. Recently, all three Tennis greats have it.

It’s all upstairs. There are ways we can tell that a great one has the instinct for winning championships. It’s how they talk, what they say, what they believe is happening, and how they lead the situation to reach the top — total belief in yourself to be the reason your team wins championships.

Athletes are insanely confident individuals. Even proven competent pros think they’re the very best at what they do, when they’re clearly not, usually because of physical limitations.

Allen has the physical talent to be in the historical sports best-of-the-best group, so he’ll have to find that mental place that gets him there. His, focus, concentration, and determination needs improvement.

These posts get dumber and dumber by the day. Congratulations, you are the winner today. What's the headline gonna be for the next dumb poster tomorrow? "Allen is a poodle, Mahomes is a Rottweiler. Allen needs to be a Rottweiler". I can't wait to read it
