I was largely disappointed in the SB commercials this year. There were a couple of touching ones, but the ones aiming at humor were just not that funny. There is one commercial I've seen recently (not during the SB) for Kayak that made me laugh out loud when I saw it.

Its Pretty Obvious why the Chiefs win every year
jkeerie replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is spot on! Mahomes gets the credit. He's a great QB...and in the first half...because Kelce was buttoned up, he was ineffective. In the second half, when Kelce got open, Mahomes was suddenly the greatest again. Kelce is the real difference maker on that offense. Chris Jones is on the defense. And Shanahan was the weak link on SF. He does this all the time, putting the emphasis on passing the ball, even when running the ball was effective. His play calling after the interception was awful. SF needed to be up by a wider margin so that fluke plays, like the muffed punt, wouldn't be so critical. KC has won 3 SBs...two versus SF under Shanahan. Enough said. The Chiefs are the champs. Give them their due. However, it's not like they are annihilating teams. Their wins are by narrow margins, and it usually involves a lucky play or two. -
I was thinking it was a "Fill in the Blank." "Spencer Brown would say you..." In your case, definitely NOT a Dolphin fan.

Bass Makes $1 Million More per Year Than Butker
jkeerie replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Butker should demand a huge raise! You could argue he is just as valuable as any TE, WR, or defensive player. And he should hold out until he gets it! -
I also think with older players they press more knowing that the seasons for them to win a championship are fewer. Younger players play looser. They know they have more longevity in their careers.
-
They have only 43 players signed. Their free agent list includes Chris Jones, Snead, Tranquil, Gay, and a number of others from their starting defense. So they are not awash with cash. Yes...the Bills have more free agents...but they need to get younger and build through the draft...and play those players so they develop!
-
I agree. I'd also like for McD to not rotate as much on the D line so our best players are in the game most downs. I think players develop more of a rhythm with less rotation.
-
Reid learned about winning in the playoffs from all his experience...much of which was losing. I think McD is learning. It would have been interesting to see how things would have played out had the injury bug not hurt the Bills so much. I agree. The roster needs to get a lot younger and fresher.

I would have been surprised if KC had gone for two if they scored a TD. It was Jones who spoke about it so he may have meant getting the second possession if SF scored a TD. The point is KC players were aware and prepared in contrast to SF.
-
I hope someone in the NFC offers him big bucks.
-
The 49er players weren't even aware of the OT rules. They talked about it in their pressers. By contrast, KC's plan was if they scored a TD they would go for two. KC was prepared for all situations.

Bills have 58 players under contract. The Chiefs 43...not including Jones and Snead. Yes...the Bills are in worse shape but the Chiefs don't have a boatload of cash.

Reid.

That's what I'm asking. What moves would you make along those lines? Likely they'll restructure Josh. Who else would you restructure? Who would you cut? I'm trying to garner thoughts so we can move on from the Book of Lamentations.

Copilot is Microsoft's AI tool for searching the internet etc.

They won. It's over. 31 teams and fan bases are unhappy. 49er fans are calling for Shanahan to be fired. (One referred to him as their version of Marv Levy. Ouch!) I won't be watching any replays. I won't tune into the NFL network until it's time for the Combine. It's time to stop lamenting and move on to next season.

Okay. The SB is over. The Chiefs won...again. It's ground hog day. I suggest we stop torturing ourselves with what could have been in 2023. So let's discuss where the Bills team goes moving forward. We know the GM we know the coaching staff. We know many of the players. We know we'll have 10 draft picks. So...realistically...what players do we restructure? What players do we re-sign? What players do we extend? What players do we cut ties with? What free agents would you like to see the Bills sign knowing we won't be able to afford top line FAs? Deal with the knowns. This is not a thread for wishful thinking (regarding coaches etc). We are moving forward.

That's because Kelce was so wide open the ball was gone before any D line could get to him.
-
Shanahan was the reason I had little faith in SF.
-
Spags is the one making the real difference. At least he did this year.
-
No he doesn't. But Brady might.
-
I'm sick of Mahomes talking about adversity! Penalties and dropped passes aren't adversity! Losing starting and backup players is adversity. Having a player die on the field is adversity.
-
He's not cursed. He's stupid!
-
Shanahan...run the ball! Haven't you learned?
-
Yes all teams battle the injury bug but not to the same extent. It's one thing to play backups here and there but when you are down to 3rd and 4th string players playing multiple positions on one side of the ball that tilts the scales to the team not having to do that. Beane thought he had good depth. That depth was exhausted this year.
