  1. Vick & Young may not put up the stats that you obsess over in a QB -- but they execute on the stat that matters most: W's. They have managed to win games despite lackluster talent around them. And of course, leave it to you to even try and compare JP Losman to Vick. Vick has had great success in the league, very early in his career. He's made 3 Pro Bowls, he has led his team to division titles, and he's won a road playoff game -- this despite not having a reliable wide receiver to throw to. Yeah, the coaches were real inept for leaving him in there. Young also had success relatively quickly reaching the playoffs and getting a Pro Bowl nod in his second year as a starter. And the talent at the offensive skill positions is nonexistent! But I suppose Jeff Fisher doesn't know what he's doing, too. Thankfully, the Bills brass disagrees with your assessment on JP and realized pretty quickly that JP wasn't the answer and have put their faith in the youngster. You were awfully quick to jump to conclusions on Vick's affiliation with dogfighting because it happened at a property he owned. Yet you're suddenly a proponent of "waiting for the facts" in deciding whether or not Marshawn was involved in a hit-and-run with a car that he owns. Truly irony at its best.
  2. It's amazing how you will be the first to manufacture excuses for your boy JP Losman when he $hits the bed. You'll cite the offense he's in, the scheme he is being subjected to execute, the offensive coordinator's play calls, etc... Yet when it comes to Vick, he sucks -- plain and simple. PS - Vick was driving Marshawn's Porsche SUV that night too, right?
  3. Do you draw this conclusion based on your numerous interactions with Vick?
  4. Marhawn has been receiving bad advice. It's too bad that he's too dumb to realize it.
  5. This was poorly played by Lynch's party... at this point, his attorney isn't doing him many favors.
  6. sh-- happens. A pedestrian was hit. The evidence is there. And he (or whoever was driving Marshawn's car) will be held liable. Life's a B word, huh?
  7. ... so it's personal. Glad that you're capable of objective reasoning.
  8. AD pretentious? NO WAY!
  9. Yeah... it's a real stretch to even "think" he was driving his OWN car on a night when there are witness accounts of him in the downtown BUF area, around where the "accident" happened. The nerve of some people!
  10. It's also a big reach to think that he was most likely the driver of a car that he owns.
  11. Couldn't have said it better myself. This board continues to impress!
  12. Still stand by your conclusion based on shaky logic?
  13. Point is you can't really draw a conclusion on WHAT happened based on the time it's taking... the reason it's taking so much time is because Marshawn's camp has been slow to cooperate. Hopefully his lawyer knows what he's doing.
  14. Nice logic. So based on the "time" that expired between the OJ murders and the time he was apprehended, it is less likely that OJ did committed those murders? You really take homerism to a new level Bottom line, nobody knows.
  15. Watch the tape. Langston needed quite a bit of help next to him in the run game. Pass blocking was good, run blocking so-so.
  16. Essentially my point. The poster I was responding to made it sound like Nate was getting torched repeatedly when that is far from the truth. In fact, Nate was one of the few consistent performers on that defense and made some game changing plays.
  17. Clements was pretty freaking good. No need to trash a player just because the Bills decided against resigning him. If you want to look at a player who didn't play up to his contract, look no further than Derrick Dockery or Chris Kelsay.
  18. Or they could give the richest contract in Buffalo Bills history to a guard who isn't even among the top 10 in the NFL.
  19. Fair enough -- not saying Schobel didn't deserve the extension. Just saying that when he became the 2nd highest paid player on his own defensive line, the situation became urgent -- they HAD to redo his deal immediately, and the front office showed good faith and did just that. With Peters, he's now the 3rd highest paid player on the line, which is just ludicrous. If the front office doesn't show him the same courtesy, you can't help but scratch your head and wonder why.
  20. Just last year, the Bills extended Schobel with 3 years remaining on his deal because they realized they had to after the boneheaded contract Overdorf gave to Chris Kelsay. Similarly, because Dockery is vastly overpaid, they should do the right thing and pay Peters what he deserves.
  21. ... seeing as how they took a DB in the latter half of the first round AFTER addressing their line through the draft, I think they're building their team the way most good organizations to -- from the inside out. But don't let that get in the way of your misrepresentation of Bill's point
  22. Absolutely!
  23. Dockery was paid like a top-5 NFL guard when he hardly qualifies. Steinbach signed with the Browns for virtually the same coin and he's significantly better. In any case, hopefully Dockery can improve on what was a very inconsistent season.
  24. The Bills hold most of the leverage here, with 3 years remaining on his deal -- that said, they should give Peters a bump. After overpaying for Dockery, he's not even the highest paid player on the line and he has a legitimate reason to be pissed. Perhaps this will teach Overdorf a lesson -- when you overpay mediocre players like Kelsay and Dockery, the players who actually DO deserve the coin (Schobel & Peters) will ask for more.
