  1. Still early, Peterman looks a little shaky but he's taking shots making the defense respect the pass, should open things up for shady
  2. Tyrod isn't terrible in my opinion, but I think he falls in the elite back up qb class. Mostly his ability to not throw picks and I personally think he's the most dangerous qb with his legs since Vick. But his low interception rate is direct reflection of the very few risks he makes as a passer (check down passes all day) and he's probably the last qb you want out there if the game is on the line. If he was on a team with a great defense where he only needs to score twice and just not turn the ball over and make a few flashy plays with his legs he could make a deep run in playoffs but that's a perfect scenario for tyrod. I wish him all the luck, he's just not the right fit for buffalo.
  3. I think the loss to the Jets was almost the nail in the coffin not just the saints. I think mcD saw his fears of what happens to tyrod when he's forced to be a qb by a decent team at best. Wasn't alot of help from the defense among other things, but it was like the team laid down cuz they knew once shady is out of the equation the game is over. Then the saints just proved what happens when tyrod faces a playoff caliber team that forces him to be a qb. Also every defense that we were gonna face the rest of the season just needed to copy the scheme of the saints and Jets and it's in the bag. McD needed a passing threat for a chance of saving the season.
  4. You make more sense than any over paid tv analyst. So tired of everyone calling tyrod the scape goat. Analyst just Google his stats and passer rating and call him underated. I read an article that said "though many bills fans support the decision" I wonder why... Because we have actually watched every single game and watched tyrod be frustratingly average at best.
  5. Seriously though how many of us said this last year after embarrassing losses to Steelers/ Patriots, stop shady and force tyrod to throw and the game is over.
  6. Agreed, coming into this game I knew the bills were gonna have to score quickly and often to keep up with the saints explosive offense. When your down 2 tds and tyrod is still throwing check down throws, it shows how confident he is in his own arm. But probably my biggest criticism of tyrod and maybe it's just me but how often does he hit a receiver in stride? I can't remember the last time he has, every receiver has to turn their hips/shoulders or leave their feet. Maybe I'm being a stickler
  7. I think that's the direction we are headed, but I doubt we are able to get a top 3 qb without trading the kitchen sink. There's alot of teams that are looking forward to this qb class that will have worse records than the bills. I would like to take a qb but do not reach, I don't think there's many QBs out of the the top 3 prospects that are much better than Peterman. If a great qb isn't there I'd like a D line or lb. Non flashy pics are always ok with me. Also it will be interesting how things play out with QBs like keenum, cousins,Bradford, that might hit the market
  8. Don't get me wrong, I support benching tyrod, I've never been a fan. I've been one of his biggest critics, and a supporter of Peterman. But I'm just saying we haven't seen Peterman against a starting D not in prevent with the game on the line. But getting on my arm chair qb soap box, I said last year tyrod will have early success with different scheme's until defenses get enough tape to watch, and shut down shady, force tyrod to win with his arm and we lose every time. This age of nfl you have to have a good pass game complimented with a great run game to go deep in playoffs. (Stepping off my soap box)
  9. I'm not calling Peterman a savior just yet, that was against a prevent D without the game on the line. That was essentially practice squad but he was getting the ball out very quick and taking shots, something we haven't had. McD has a tough choice to make, I know for alot of fans it's a simple choice but changing QBs midseason is never easy for an offense.
  10. Didn't think we could have a more embarrassing loss than against the Steelers last year....
  11. "Tyrod throws a great deep ball, and he needs deep weapons" - every analyst on ESPN all year. Well he has kb now, against a young saints secondary with the home crowd, no excuses today.
  12. The nfl and fans were finally respecting the bills... So we do what we do best
  13. This made me laugh. Exactly what I said a few days ago. It's definitely not all tyrod fault tonight, but it's scary when tyrod is forced to be a nfl qb
  14. This is a good chance to prove toughness. The pats are gonna take away shady like the jets are doing, we need to adapt.
  15. Just don't get sacked or fumble right here..."hold my beer"- Buffalo the past 18 years
  16. I swear every commentator or analyst when talking about tyrod always says he throws a great deep ball... am I the only one that hasn't seen it enough to put that as his identifier?
  17. Totally agree with you. I actually like tyrods attitude and work ethic and hes obviously one of the most athletically gifted players in the nfl. But watching the years of the quality defenses stack the box and challenge him, and he's never won that battle ever. The steelers made us look like a flag football team last year, they stacked and begged tyrod to throw. But I'm not blaming all our problems last few seasons on tyrod. Just saying I don't know if I really believe he can carry us deep in playoffs with his arm. But that doesn't mean trade the sink in picks to reach on a qb. I like the management so far, I hope it continues.
  18. Red zone and maybe a few streaks if we are controlling the game. Don't need to memorize the playbook for a jump ball in the red zone. No need to get greedy but we need that kb/tyrod chemistry rolling asap.
  19. In high school I got fired for distracting my co workers and having a bad attitude. I should have blamed everyone else and sued to get my job back.
  20. But that means it might be the best time to let tyrod air it out, we most likely won't need to rely heavily on the pass game against the jets (knock on wood). So it might be a great game to let tyrod put up some deep jump balls without the game on the line, get the kb/tyrod confidence going asap.
  21. Love it, Benjamin is proven better than sammy at catching jump balls. He's slower than sammy but I love the red zone intimidation alone, his size is a nightmare for defenses. Also this now creates the put up or shut up moment for tyrod. He has a big top talent to throw to, no excuses. I hope tyrod makes me eat crow and gets us in the playoffs with his arm. But I'm loving the football world finally respecting the bills.
  22. Totally agree, couldn't be happier that it worked but it should have been a bust and there would be 100 threads talking about the play call if he didn't make guys miss.
  23. Agreed, unfortunately I think some teams would have gave us a pretty penny for him last year or beginning of this year. But with his quality of play and off field issues we won't get much at all.
