  1. Even so, the organization is in a less than ideal position. They are now paying a receiver 30 million to not be on the team. It might be the right move, but it is not what anyone wanted to happen. Ideally, Diggs would be on the team, happy, and contributing. But he's not.
  2. Can't give it more than a C. Diggs put the organization in a tough spot and forced his way out, basically. Impossible for the Bills to come out on top in a situation like this.
  3. Draft what your team needs. But the Chiefs have invested a lot in their defense, both in the draft and free agency. Anyone who thinks that we should only focus on bolstering the offense is not paying attention to what other good teams do.
  4. And they had their best defense in years. 2nd in points against and 2nd in yards against.
  5. Running the ball and playing good defense is how the two superbowl teams play. KC has been prioritizing their defense for awhile, expending high draft picks. They started prioritizing running the ball and that freed up their offense more, especially with the lack of talent they have at receiver. And, of course, the 49ers run the ball and prioritize defense too. It's not 2015 anymore. It's 2024.
  6. Diggs performs well when he is mentally and emotionally well, so I think he'll probably go there and be pretty happy and perform well. Until something pisses him off and he starts sulking again. Talented receiver, but he is too volatile.
  7. I've been saying that Diggs isn't a number 1 receiver anymore and that his issues are concerning, but I thought we were locked with him for another season at least. I guess the Bills decided to just rip off the bandaid.
  8. Wow. I'm stunned.he must have been too much of an issue to keep. That's the only reason you take on the crazy cap hit.
  9. The Saints are "NA" for QB, which I guess means they haven't drafted one in the first two rounds since 1980? That's pretty crazy. They got Drew Brees in free agency.
  10. Why are you surprised by safety? Safeties are not drafted high, are one of the lower impact positions, are one of the lower paid positions, and we have had an elite pair of safeties for years. So yeah, no wonder we didn't spend a 1st or 2nd rounder on one. And we still shouldn't. You can get a starting caliber safety for pretty cheap in free agency. If you want to draft one, draft one in the 4th round or later.
  11. I'm very much against this. This is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard. The NFL draft works better than any other sport. Don't mess with it.
  12. You have to kick the ball over a bunch of huge men, many of whom are jumping into the air to try to block it. If you move it closer, that gives the ball less distance to elevate. This means you will get kicks blocked far more frequently. Someone smarter can do the math, but the amount of lost elevation over those two lost yards is going to be significant.
  13. Wouldn't be the offseason without a member of the Chiefs doing something scummy.
  14. You are going to have to provide some examples. Most of what I hear about Allen is positive.
  15. Well, I struggled reading those myself...
  16. So, if the Bills are there at 28 and they have the option of taking a player with a 1st round grade versus taking a 2nd round graded receiver, you want them to pass on the higher rated players and reach for a 2nd round talent? I honestly think some of you don't understand how the draft works. You make a draft board. You grade players. You draft according to your board. You don't get enamored with any one player or even any one position, because there are a billion scenarios and it might not fall the way you think, especially when you are at 28.
  17. Why? The Bills have had MUCH, MUCH worse drafts than that.
  18. Still would have had the Bengals the next week...
  19. Everyone was on the same page for the squib but the kicker. Bass was warming up when everyone else was preparing. Nobody told him. He should have known, but he didn't. Literally everyone was stunned that it wasn't a squib except the kicker. It was a breakdown in communication. The ST coordinator needs to make sure all his players get the call, and he didn't. And then everyone lost their minds and had no idea what to do, and that is a preparation and situational football issue. McDermott and everyone else on defense crapped the bed. I think if Poyer is annoyed with anything it is about still getting questions about this year's later.
  20. Carl Lawson and Michael Danna would be good, in my opinion.
  21. I used to care about the draft a lot more when we sucked and needed a QB. It was like our superbowl. These days, I just let it happen and then get acquainted with the guys the Bills draft. Life is easy.
  22. The Jags have been a terrible organization for a long time. A lot of people picked them to be the one seed in the AFC last year, which I thought was ridiculous.
  23. Yeah, why would he not be considered a better option than washed up Zeke Eliott or perennially injured Dobbins? That's an easy choice for me.
