  1. From what I can gather, he wasn't always put in positions to succeed there. They were running screens with him. Like, what? Also throwing prayers up to him when double or triple covered or when the defender has established leverage. There were consistently under thrown balls to him, causing more contested catch situations than needed (and having to wait for a ball and the defender getting back in the play makes it harder for a receiver than just a normal 50/50 ball). I actually think he might do much better in the pros with a much better QB throwing to him and not being the focal point of the offense. Of course, he'll also be going up against better talent, but I expect he will be used more appropriately than he was in college. Well yeah, why was he running go routes all the time? I think he was mismanaged in college. They had him doing everything, including a lot of things that played to his weaknesses, not strengths.
  2. I would have taken Legette at 32. I would have taken McConkey at 33 if we still do the trade down to 33. But what do I know? Not much.
  3. I don't watch college football. I don't watch film. I look at mock drafts and player rankings. I look at measurables like height and weight, 40 time, and other combine results. I then watch highlights and breakdowns from other people. That's how I fashion my opinions. I don't have any delusions that I know more than anyone, especially the professionals. I think a lot of fans do about the same as I do and then somehow develop these extreme opinions with massive conviction. That's what I don't get. They haven't done the work to warrant such strong opinions. There are a few here who do watch some film and actually evaluate the players. I respect their opinions more, but they are still doing it only at a hobby level.
  4. Just a question about your picks that are the same as the Bills: were you actually hoping for those players when the Bills picked them, or did you decide you liked the pick afterward and decided you preferred the Bills pick over what you wanted at the time?
  5. Dang it! We didn't sign Jerry Rice in his prime??? Beane is trying to destroy the Bills and all goodness in this world! Although, Rice ran a 4.71 40. So, he probably WOULD sign such a bum.
  6. Mecole Hardman would be decent. He certainly has the speed. I've always liked Tyler Boyd, but he is the same type of receiver Shakir is. However, you could move them around and they could both line up outside and inside. That might be interesting.
  7. 8. Diggs sucked by the end of the year. Diggs also sucked in every single playoff elimination game. For being a superstar, he never showed up in the playoffs. He was an afterthought in the offense for half the season. It doesn't take much to replace the version of him we had last year.
  9. I'm not upset. I'm excited for guys like Shakir and Samuel to step up. And Coleman to come in and grow playing with Allen. There will be some growing pains, but I really like Shakir and Samuel. And Coleman is an upgrade over Davis, in my opinion. We don't have a superstar receiver, which means Allen will deliver the ball wherever he sees fit without having to worry about a Diva. We don't have to throw screens to Diggs anymore. Samuel should be way better suited for that. Oh, and Kincaid is easily positioned now as the #1 weapon. He should have a monster year and take his place as an elite TE in the NFL. I'm excited.
  10. Ok, what is the connection with Utah? Beane seems to be really focused there. Kincaid, Bishop, and now this guy. Zach Moss from a few years ago. Or it could be a coincidence, I suppose.
  11. I think the team will be just as good, if not better, than last year. Last year we had all the names, but they were all injured (Milano, White, Jones, etc.) or just lacking productivity for various reasons (Diggs, Davis, Miller, Poyer, Hyde, etc.). So, on paper we are worse, but given that all those veterans were not contributing last year, we're actually better this year. I think much better. So no, I'm not tempering my expectations or bracing for a down year. The Bills are going to contend for the AFC East and make the playoffs. They have as good of a shot this year of making the superbowl as last year, given the injuries and nuances that the team faced last year, including a mid-year coordinator change.
  12. Yes, and it isn't even close.
  13. Chiefs for sure.
  14. Expect a free agent signing or even a trade.
  15. The truth is somewhere in the middle of those two extremes.
  16. That's what I'm doing. I'm discussing people's lack of knowledge and speculating that they know nothing about these players.
  17. Nobody knows anything. Stop pretending. Just hope for the best.
  18. Who said 40 times aren't relevant? They are. They just aren't everything.
  19. You guys are insufferable. We get it. You hate everything. Get a life.
  20. Coleman is much more like Gabe Davis, but with much better hands and better route running. And a higher upside.
  21. Better make it a triple.
  22. Many Bills fans just have a default position of angst when it comes to draft picks. Almost none of them actually know what they are talking about. They think looking at a few mock drafts and watching a handful of college games over the season makes them experts.
  23. Not a fan of the zero. Unless it was a double zero. That would look cool.
  24. He runs a 4.52 which is fine for a running back.
