  1. The OP is 100% right, it's unfortunately just not the state-run blind McDermott support post that so many here are accustomed to. Also if people believe Frazier is the problem...whose fault is it that he's been here for years and continues to stay??? Is McD a helpless bystander when it comes to that too?
  2. I don't think it is. Frazier is an extension of him, he runs the defense the way McD wants it to be run and to his vision. If McDermott had a problem with any of it, he could change it. He doesn't. He won't bring in someone that would challenge him to make changes. We've seen that already, we're still seeing it now. It's easier to keep Frazier and have most of the fanbase blame him instead as if McD doesn't have anything to do with the defense. You could literally read most of the messages on the board and most want to can Frazier and keep McDermott. It doesn't make any sense. If they think Frazier is such a big problem...whose fault is it that he's been here and is still here? It's McD's. Any way you slice it, McDermott is the problem.
  3. It's McDermott's scheme. Frazier could be a problem, but he's an extension of McD. It would be like if a Bengals fan wanted to fire their OC after they lost. That's Zac Taylor's show, just like the D is McDermott's here. McD is not a helpless bystander and victim. If he doesn't like something, he can step in. He can change whatever he wants. I think he's kept Frazier here because it's become such an easy scapegoat and he gets to avoid most of the debris of accountability.
  4. I'm not an expert on this at all...but at some point won't all the restructuring/backloading eventually put us in a really tough spot with the cap? Like is this sustainable or is it just kicking the can down the road?
  5. That's like McDermott McDermott is the problem. The defensive coordinator is an extension of him.
  6. I wouldn't even acknowledge them if I was him, that's the only way they can win
  7. It’s McD’s scheme and philosophy. If he doesn’t like it, he’s had years to change anything, that’s the job of the Head Coach and why he’s called that. I don’t know why so many people here are apologists for McDermott. Yeah Frazier sucks, but he’s an extension of McD.
  8. McD is the problem. He is pure, unadulterated trash that chokes and gets outcoached every single postseason. Frazier doesn’t decide our scheme against McD’s will. He’s an extension of him. Bringing them all back is waving the white flag on the future.
  9. McD’s the head coach that’s a defensive coach. If he doesn’t like anything about the defense, he can step in. That’s the responsibility of a Head Coach and why they’re called the Head Coach.
  10. 100% true. Most people here are in denial about it but we will never win anything here with McD.
  11. Its McDermotts defense. Only firing Frazier won’t change anything.
  12. McD is trash, horrible coaching in the playoffs 3 years in a row now. He’s a huge step below these other coaches that are still here.
  13. If they have any hopes of trying to win a SB, McD has got to go
  14. I’m not even sure how things get better from here with Allen’s contract kicking in
  15. Nothing changes if McD’s still here, he’s the biggest problem we have
  16. It’s McD’s defense, he should be gone with all of his coaches
  17. It’s McD’s defense, he should be gone with all of his coaches It’s McD’s defense, he should be gone with all of his coaches
  18. It’s McD’s defense, people are in such denial about this
  19. We’re never going to win anything with McD and this coaching staff
  20. Hopefully they’ll hire him He has all the time that he’s not spending on scheme, that’s probably most of it
  21. That is just so petty. I understand he's got a great gig with the Bills and that's the argument some would make for him. I personally could just never sell out like that, even if it meant landing a cool job. I'd have to be able to speak my mind and not sell out for the organization no matter where I work. He can probably do that now and I don't know if he does...but back then he was basically state-run radio.
  22. I've never liked Chris Brown since the old site, back when he was shilling for the Bills and went as far as defending them for bringing Jauron back for year #4 because of how important continuity was. He's just as bad at play-by-play as he is everything else.
  23. Especially in the 2nd half, McD just can't be using multiple defensive timeouts. You gotta save them all. I can understand the 4th and 8 one I guess because we were such a mess, but the other one was brutal. He's in his what, 6th year now? It's scary at times that these are things he still hasn't learned.
  24. I have enough Pavlovian conditioning that happened here that anytime I still see the word "billboard" I immediately think Bill Cowher
  25. I would. The new OT rules are not in their favor.
