  1. Come on what? He’s gay and Christian. He can lecture as much as any Christian politician who wants to lecture.
  2. Why does being gay matter for this? What President doesn’t promise crap like this?
  3. Yes and no. I don’t need more than 2 decent content providers. Sure I’m curious about the CBS Star Trek series and Twilight Zone reboot but whatever. I get enough content elsewhere. Netflix and Prime Original content is about all I have time for. Eventually CBS will sell access to just their shows (to get money later) and I can buy just them. The days of urgently knowing what is happening on any show are over. TV shows are now like books. You can talk to people who have seen them and recommend them to people who haven’t. Occasionally there may be a huge breakthrough show like GoT where people will obsess over live or near live viewing but mostly no one cares about that anymore. The splintering of content is fine with me as long as it remains easy to switch. If providers go to a true ala carte model, that will be interesting.
  4. Not playing on YouTube doesn’t move me, but he’s a hack. No offense to him because I’m also a hack guitar player. But playing 3 bar chords does not make him a guitar player and you can tell he has no chops. FakeNews. Also what a mess that they gave him an electric guitar and then have him play unplugged. And he agreed. If he wins the Primary, this settles it: MAGA all the way!
  5. Credit. The government will need 5x that number to administer it. It’s a hiring program.
  6. Here’s the hard truth to your crass question: Trump has them all beat.
  7. He’s a 5th round pick who has been a disaster as a player. It’s remarkable he has a job but again, I’d love to see him in a pro bowl someday!
  8. I get the feeling Gruden is a guy who likes to think he knows more than everyone else. I actually am happy rooting for Peterman. It would be a fun story to see him have a career in the NFL but he sure wasn’t doing it here.
  9. I'm a little surprised we haven't heard much from Yeldon. He caught 55 passes last year. The Bills are stacked at RB, although two of them are pretty old.
  10. Did you hear that the church extended lent by 10 months?
  11. Happy to lay blame wherever it needs to be laid. Congress too. But you asked about what I disliked most about Trump’s policies outside his general poor leadership so there it is.
  12. To be clear, I was saying that his tearing of the ACA down was fine. And for the record, the double digit increases were happening before and after the ACA. The ACA didn’t cause them. It just did nothing to affect them. I care about our future. Borrowing to get the BMW now is a bad deal for my kids. I own businesses and am very much in touch with my tax bill. I am happy to pay less but I see zero fiscal responsibility from Trump.
  13. I’ve been accused of being so many posters here that I can’t keep track. I guess my deep state secret identity is The Beast.
  14. About a million people immigrate and become lawful residents here each year legally. Close to 3x more became than enter illegally. And the illegal immigrant population is declining here. I assumed you were talking about the majority of immigrants, who I guess you welcome wholeheartedly then. Which is good, because there are 45 million of them and they make up about the same % of our population as they did when your great grandparents arrived.
  15. 1.Pushing and signing off on recent budget. 2. Tax cut without spending cuts in excess of tax cuts. 3. Veto of Saudi arms sales embargo 4 - Tear down of ACA (which was fine) without anything in its place Generally, his isolationism (except as noted below) is a big problem as well. On the positive side, I'll give his 4 best: 1- China (I could list this as 1-4 because this is my runaway favorite). Trade disparity, IP theft, currency manipulation--the economic wins here are worth fighting for. He's yet to show he can win the regional influence war in Asia so I'd watch that. 2 - Broadly, peace. Trump is getting us disentangled from a lot of war zones and his willingness to talk to the crazy ***** helps peace 3 - Immigration, kind of. He has floundered around looking for solutions on this starting with some ideas that were stupid (the wall) and landing more recently on interesting ideas to pressure Mexico to be the buffer. It's not a high priority (for me) and he's spending way too much time on it but there may be progress there. 4 - Judicial appointments. Setting aside the two SC judges, he's remaking the courts in a great way.
  16. You know who you sound like? The generation who was here when our great grandparents arrived.
  17. If he had bought the Bills (shudders), what would be the average tenure of a coach? 6 weeks?
  18. I always have. But you probably think because I'm critical of Trump on some things, 1 - I want him impeached. 2 - I think he’s a racist. 3 - I voted for Hillary. 4 - I believe Obama was a great president. Etc.
  19. You realize Trump and current Reps is spending more and taxing less right? Is this the responsibility government of which you speak? Because I see the budget decisions of the last few years exacerbating a serious long term problem. He looks a lot like what has come before on govt growth.
  20. It’s almost like continuity matters. The coaching and GM carousel is a guaranteed disaster. That doesn’t mean you don’t fire the bad ones, but just that we need to be patient. Plenty of people—heck tons of people—wanted McBeane fired when they traded Dareus for next to nothing. And now here we are. Out of cap hell for the first time in forever. Evaluating a potential franchise QB (too early but he shows promise). And the coaching staff returns. It’s great. I’m not sure McD is the next Belichek but we need a rudder in the water for a while and I hope he’s that guy.
  21. The entrenched government worker is the leviathan that will always be hard to drain from the swamp. Humans will always be imperfect. The DS narrative that runs though much of the posting is a battle of good vs evil with Deep State tentacles reaching into any 4chan corner of deviant behavior anyone feels inclined to post.
  22. Foster was a great story last year. But in many ways all he did was survive until trash wideouts dropped and Josh was a better QB. If he wants to prove that he’s more than the tallest Lilliputian, he needs to earn it. I hope he does because he was fun. But I don’t expect last year’s UDFA to best out Beasley and Brown.
